    Literally haven't seen a single negative review about the chair but still, the price is hefty. Looks hella good too, what a dilemma.

    • @DevlVergil
      @DevlVergil Před 2 lety +2

      But is the price really so hefty though, relatively speaking? I'm currently looking for a new chair since I'm a gamer and doing Home-Office. I'm obvioulsy looking for something ergonomic first and foremost but I also for a design I like. But it seems like people always recommend some top-tier office chair as a better alternative, though they also cost more than double the price. They always say the "gaming" in the chair just leads to inflated prices and that the chairs suck but it feels more as if catering and marketing to higher level office workers and corporations leads to even higher inflation when I look at a Steelcase Gesture or Hermann Miller Embody for example.

    Seems like a great Review. Just bought my Evo 2022 The Witcher edition. Looks insane in the pictures. Sadly, i have to wait few months, since design is in Pre-Order right now. I have 3 year old 80$ chair, so upgrade is needed anyway. And since i don't get younger, i would appreciate Lumbar support.
    Also, my brother have Omega 2020 chair, so i have an idea what quality to expect. Although, his armrest's have heavy damage after few years. So magnetic replacement option seems like i great feature.

    I ended up going with a 2020 softweave because of how much complaining i’m hearing about the creaking in the 2022 models. Granted, Secret lab is aware of this and said there will be a fix in the future, the older models SEEM to be reliable.

    • @greg_nog
      @greg_nog  Před 2 lety +1

      Yeah I definitely understand why you went that route. I want to do a video soon to address some of the issues I've encountered since I filmed this video. The creaking is probably the most frustrating part and I wish I caught it in time to include that in this review... Like I mentioned in the video, I wouldn't have upgraded from my 2020 model if I wasn't reviewing the EVO. The cool additions they added this year are great but they aren't huge and they're flawed in some ways like the pillow magnets. Ultimately the next model they release will probably be the best chair to get since they'll have revised and perfected all the new features and changes from the 2022 EVO.

    the moment you complained you couldn't get the pillow high enough to reach your head and rest comfortably with it staying on, and you said you're 6ft I knew you got the "regular" size. I'm very serious, you should contact their support staff and try to return it to get an XL. I see this was uploaded like 6 weeks ago so I may be too late, but you 100000% got the wrong size. I am 6ft, and I got the XL. it's perfect in every way, it's big as shit but it's like a throne. perfect pillow placement and it stays whether I put it behind my head, or behind my neck. The lumbar support is able to adjust right where I need it, it's a perfect chair for 6ft. As an investment that should last you at least the next 5 years unless you just get new chairs to review because you have the money to. This chair would last you at least 5 years, the length of the ext. warrant. With the high quality stitching, foam, and construction of the base I think it can easily last 10 years unless something goes wrong in the back of the chair. or maybe something happens to a part in the base of the chair after the warranty. but I think it can easily last at least 8 years, and you definitely got the wrong size, there is no doubt in my mind. You really really should contact them and try to work with them to send yours back, and get an XL to your house. maybe get them to send you an XL and pack the current one right back in that back and send it back. they would know I assume. but do it man, you will be so happy you did it, I promise you dude. do it.

    I suggest everyone check there tilt and height lever handles. They are push on handles and when pushed on there are 2 integrated plastic clips on either side of shafts and one side or the other breaks off as you push on. sometimes they fly off or just break and its a hanging chad as soon as you check it it falls off. Ill bet there a lot of people have not caught this. Look real close. The company gas been very good about it and sent me new ones but they both broke right off, I let them k now again I have not herd anything yet. Its a design issue, appears to me that shaft lugs are a bit to large. such a nice chair to put something like this on it, should have end screws or a ball bearing retention system.

    • @pete7894
      @pete7894 Před 2 lety

      So after the 3rd set I figured out why this was happening. They were going from my mail box at 40 degrees and straight to push on and broke. To clod. So I used a heat gun and warmed them up so the clips were slight softer then pushed both on, they did not break. All is good now. Heat them up first!

    I took delivery of my mine today with the Softweave. It's just like anything else. If you want a premium experience, you're going to pay for it. I'll be spending 12 hours a day in this chair, so it won't take too long to figure out if I struck gold, or if it's a case of buyer's remorse. I did notice the chair is pretty firm, so if you're looking for cushy, this chair is not it.

      Thanks Craig! Much appreciated my friend.
      It can be tricky picking a size when you’re on the border between the “recommended” models for your height and weight. I’m 182cm and around 190lbs and the regular was a great fit for me. In my experience these chairs handle weight really well and since we’re both around the same height regular should be fine for you (in my opinion). The only thing that I’ve noticed since recording my review is that this new model has a small squeaking issue where the chair makes some noise when you move around (which has to do with the new lumbar support system). I’ve heard they came up with a solution to this though so I’ll have to give it a shot but I haven’t yet. It’s important to keep in mind though that you may face the noise issue a bit worse with the “regular” size chair but I can’t say that for certain.
      Hope that helps you a bit 👍 Appreciate the sub, man!

    • @greg_nog
      @greg_nog  Před 2 lety

      There’s definitely a few things I’ve noticed over time that bug me / don’t work as well as I hoped so I’ll make a follow-up video at some point for one of my next couple projects to address all that. The lumbar isn’t amazing but it does enough for me so far. I’d probably agree with you that the cushion is pretty average - it’s good enough for 4ish hours or so but above that you’re gonna get kinda sore. The thing that probably bugs me the most is the squeaking.. and the lumbar support mechanism is definitely the worst offender. Supposedly they have a fix for it if you email them and complain but I haven’t tried that yet. It’s a decent chair overall but the aesthetics are what make it so popular.

    As in the most video's, there's a guitar in the background. Could you let me (and other (bass) guitar players) see how you sit whilst using the guitar? Is it impossible? Do you HAVE to take off the armrests to sit comfortably?
    OR,
    Is the guitar just a prop ;)

    • @greg_nog
      @greg_nog  Před 2 lety +1

      Great question! Haha
      It's definitely NOT a prop. I've been playing for around 17 years and most of that time I've been in bands playing live shows and touring (locally) etc.
      Maybe what I'll do is when I put out my follow up video on the chair to talk about how my opinions have changed since the review, I'll include a part where I show how well you can comfortably play guitar with the armrests etc. Over the years I've ALWAYS taken the armrests off of my office chairs so that playing was easier but for my two Secretlab chairs I actually haven't had to do that! I just spin them outward and sit a little closer to the edge which has given me plenty of room. It's not perfect by any means, especially since I'm not able to lean back in the chair and relax while I'm playing, but it's good enough for me.
      I hope that info helps dude! Though, like I said I'll include a segment for this in my follow up video and go into more detail.

    • @alainbryson
      @alainbryson Před 2 lety

      @@greg_nog - That would be awesome (thank you for the response)! But thats excactly what i mean... Its cearly not a prop and you are a pro at guitaring, and use the chair for playing... why not include it in your video? You will have an audience of 1 at the very least... :D
      For real tho... You wouldnt know how many vids of these chairs are out there with guitars in the background, but almost none take the effort to show if it is possible to actually play the (bass) guitar in the chair... And if they do, then it would be the regular version of the chair... So on that point i think you would be the first (because off course, i have checked ALL of the internet)...
      Also good to know that it is indeed possible with the armrests all the way to the side. So i can work with this for sure! Thanks again...

I can get around 4 hours of work done at my desk before I have to take a break and stand up for 10 minutes or so. Compared to other office chairs I’ve had the Titan is either better than or equal to all of them. Pretty middle of the road overall. Hope that helps!

    • @crakkajac7856
      @crakkajac7856 Před 2 lety +1

      I just got my XL yesterday and it's pretty damn firm, especially at first. but it definitely softens with use, I used it all day yesterday and all day today and it's already noticeably softer, but not by a lot. if firmness is an issue for you, I would probably say don't get this chair. it is that firm. even now, it is "Softer" after 25 hours (at least) of use, but it's still firm enough I have to put my weight into it just to press my hand into the seat. but it's really high quality foam you can tell when you press into it. the stitching is extremely nice on the softweave, the pillow is absolutely amazing. it's got this cold gel in it that keeps it cool even in use it caused me to fall asleep in my chair last night watching CZcams. I think this chair will be in it's prime in a few years when it's broken in, but i can see this chair lasting me at least 7 or 8 years. if the firmness is an issue for you though, like I said, I would probably recommend a mesh gaming chair. Idk if I would recommend the secretlab Neue, their mesh chair. it's nice, and has soft stitching, but it's lacking a lot. but if you don't need the features it's lacking when comparing it to something like the DXRacer Air series, or the Ergohuman High Back mesh chair. I like the DXRacer Air's because you can remove the arm rests and recline like the titan. ANDDDD I REALLLLLLLLLLLLLY wanted a DXRacer air over the 2022 Evo titan because of the mesh, but for some reason after waiting like 5 months they still haven't released the DXR Air D7400, which is their bigger one. it's like up to 6ft 6, 300lbs a bit overkill. but their other one is recommended for up to 250lbs, 6ft 2. the height is pushing it, and I'm worried about the weight even though I'm good now, I wanted something that could handle more. and unfortunately they wont sell me one, so I got the XL 2022 Evo titan. so if you're below 6ft, get the regular. but if you're 6ft or above and you're firm on getting the titan, then get the XL, I promise the regular will be too small, you wont ge the pillow where you want to like he can't, he even says it in the video. get the XL if you're okay with it being firm till you break it in.
