I'm 5'19" tall, and weigh around 350 lbs. My old desk chair was falling apart and quite uncomfortable and I decided a couple months ago to get the Titan XL softweave navy blue edition. This thing is a beast! Also you can use the box it comes in to house a homeless person for a few weeks. It's nearly that big (and QUTIE heavy!). Chair assembly was pretty straightforward. I love this chair, the only thing I wish is that the seat cushion was a tad softer. But to be honest I'm VERY happy so far with this chair and highly recommend any large/tall/both person to look into acquiring one of these. They're pricy, but worth it. Thanks SecretLab and thanks Stu for your great reviews! (Also, I haven't felt comfortable leaning back in a chair in a long time. I'm always afraid I'm going to fall over. The XL has a nice wide wheelbase and I don't fear leaning back anymore, tho I still do it a little cautiously.)

It's a chair for fat people, let's not beat about the bush. As a person in that demographic I wouldn't mind it being called "Titan fatty". Great review and fantastic to see you get your twin involved. đ
You do realize that that people over 6' 5" exist right? Weight is obviously on the table in the sense of demographics for buying the XL, but tall people would like a chair that fits them as well.

@@andremartinez5307 Yeah but as per the review the height difference is very little compared to the standard chair and it's the width where the difference is. If you are a taller person you could argue this chair isn't for you but this chair is good for massive fatties like myself. But in answer to your question I have seen the odd giant plodding around yes :)

Hi i got my titan yesterday. In the cloth version. did not think it was going be so heavy had T0 drag. Bloody box up 3 flights of stairs to my office im so happy with it a stunning chair so comfy thanks for the reviews helped a lot

Nice review Stu - I have a Titan (not XL) in All Black PU Leather and I'm in love with it. I've had mine around 2 months now and I had the new and improved assembly methods and it was a breeze to put together. I'm 6" 2 and the Titan is a perfect fit all round for my size. Here's hoping they make a taller version for you giants out there ;)

As a fellow 6 foot 8 gigantasaurus I appreciate your video I already bought the xl chair though and I am not large I am mostly just tall but I feel like Iâll be pretty happy since Iâm going from a cheap broken chair to a nice chair

Literally, just put my Titan XL 2.0 PU Leather together and sitting on it right now. Softer and more comfortable than I had anticipated considering so many reviewers saying it was much firmer than they had thought or hoped at first. Also, this is the first time I have felt the weight off my feet since it goes high enough to do that, which is a novelty for me because I am 6 foot 6 inches tall (my legs are long as apposed to my torso). I am also heavy and feel this supports me without being too soft. I will see how it goes over the next few days and weeks. I have a few back and shoulder issues and started to get sciatica symptoms recently and decided to ditch my Herman miller Aeron size C chair for this one. It is already far more comfortable and supportive for me. I found out that mesh chairs are a no no for heavy people because it crushes everything into the centre of hour tail bone like a triangle from both sides. Will let you guys know in a few weeks with an update.

Hey Stu I just wanted to say thanks for your review. I was contemplating whether to buy this chair or not but did a lot of researching and came across your video review. You mentioned in the follow up that you had had it for a bit and it still is a great chair. Also that you said it did not hurt your back as other office chairs do because they curve your spine (thats was me). Thanks and cheers!

Absolutely brilliant. Honest and sincere. The flashbacks were great reference material. The dual stus was entertaining. Excellent example of how a great company takes its customers opinions into consideration. Maybe theyâll create a taller back option since it just slides into brackets now. Ended up pre-ordering the XL in the Black3 today. So thanks for the videos since they helped a lot in making me decide to get the XL in the Softweave rather than the PU leather.

@@StusReviewsUK Yeah, I'm six foot four and three feet across the shoulders. I wasn't sure if I should go for the Titan or the XL so seeing someone whose six eight in one helped make the decision to go with the XL and everyone is raving about the Softweave so I figured I might as well get it in the Black3 since it looks so slick.

My XL was delivered today, will set it up tomorrow. at 6'3 and 22 stone my fat arse has destroyed everything I've ever sat it on. hopefully the Titan is up to the challenge.
How did it hold up? I'm even a bit bigger than you and damn are you right about destroying chairs. Most mass market chairs top out at 200-220lbs and god damn do they get destroyed if you get too far over that. Plastic bases and cheap castors turn to cheese after 6 months.

I love what you did with the side-by-side comparo with you and your clone sitting in the chairs. Interesting videos on Secret Lab chairs. I think they look terrific, and the quality is impressive. I considered buying one, but have now changed my mind as they are just a little too expensive for me. I do need an XL chair though, as I am only 5'-8" and around 150 kg. I read some reviews on the XL that stated the height of the seat (from the floor) was perhaps too high for short-legged guys like me. Anyway, thanks for your videos, Stu!

They said the evo 2022 XL is a lot taller than the 2020 XL version

I'm only 6 foot, but I'm a fat fucker at 100kg so I went with the XL just to have the room for my gigantic arse and thighs. I think I made the right choice. Now if only I could make better choices in my eating and exercise habits :-D

Was very thankful for all three of your reviews, considering the price of this chair I was a little wary. But thanks to your reviews I feel much better about the purchase. I also have been stuck at home for the last several months, lucky enough to work from home but my brown leather chair has taken a brunt of damage from it. Me being much shorter (5'11") I'll be looking at the Omega, and since this review came out they now have a very sleek all black softweave which looks quite lovely.
I ordered the XL since Iâm 6â6. Hope it fits. Still one of the tallest fitting chairs out there.

@@StusReviewsUK So I received the Titan XL today. I must say it's a beautiful and solid chair. While I was waiting for it's arrival I did more research between the Titan and Titan XL, and think that the regular Titan would have been a better "fit". The XL is only 1cm taller with the same seat depth unfortunately. It's really made for, um, being very polite, wider people. I think for me the ultimate chair that they could provide from their parts would be the XL piston and legs as they are stronger and wider, with the regular seat and back. Overall, way better then the chair I had for years and hopefully it lasts for a good while.
Stu really enjoyed your reviews on this chair and previous. I have gone with the omega as Iâm 5ft10 and aside from a bit of lockdown tummy Iâm not too large either! Loved the bit with two of you. Will look into doing that affect for some of my videos. Iâm subscribed now and will keep an eye out for your next videos. All the best! Ps they choice mimic the colours of the PU with carbon for the soft weave. I would have been tempted with that also! I went for the version you have in PU as the carbon look is exquisite!
I suggest everyone check there tilt and height lever handles. They are push on handles and when pushed on there are 2 integrated plastic clips on either side of shafts and one side or the other breaks off as you push on. sometimes they fly off or just break and its a hanging chad as soon as you check it it falls off. Ill bet there a lot of people have not caught this. Look real close. The company gas been very good about it and sent me new ones but they both broke right off, I let them k now again I have not herd anything yet. Its a design issue, appears to me that shaft lugs are a bit to large. such a nice chair to put something like this on it, should have end screws or a ball bearing retention system.

I love the blacks and colors in the chairs. And I feel convinced I want a Titan now, the changes each year on them are good. Right now in Canada for SoftWeave opinions we have cookies & cream, Charcoal Blue (pretty nice), and D.Va (pink) which looks nice but not that into pink.

I bought the softweave, basically you need the softweave for tropical climates. Cuz the leather will crack etc eventually. 30+ degrees Celsius plus body heat
we need more video like this because secretlab has been saying 25% larger.

My regular Titan arrived last week and can confirm, it had the new slide-in locking arm for the backrest. Secretlab support is also great, they sent me some free leather cleaner since the chair was delayed at customs.
I subscribed off of just your presentation style. It's the very springy jovial comedy that I've come to expect from British presenters after having been spoiled by Top Gear. I look forward to more videos!

top review, I had already ordered a large PU black before watching your reviews, i was just reassuring myself i had made the right choice, i sit in a corsair T3 at the min and i think it is the cause of my sciatica, it was ok when I bought it but over time it has shown its faults like metal bars on both sides of the seat base protruding through the foam, anyway cheers for making a enjoyable review.
Coming into 2022 and their updated series, you would be happy to see the multiple color options of the softweave now!

I personally don't like my Titan XL. Like you said, the seat depth is the same as the regular Titan and it feels too short for my 6' 1" 250lb frame. The chair ends at mid thigh and an extra 3 or 4 inches would be perfect. The lumbar support feels way too low to be useful to me. Also, I already feel the foam flattening under my weight to where I feel like I'm sitting on the frame. Finally, the armrests are really uncomfortable. I had to put armrest pads on them so I can rest my arms. And the worst thing is, I put a review on Secretlab's web page saying the same things and they removed it.

They could just call it "USA Edition" but it's thoughtful of them not to fat shame our fatties. Great video. Tidbit - I started using roller blade style wheels on my chairs since we always have "hard" floors, and I would never use regular wheels ever again - the feel difference is as nice as the avoiding floor contact issues.
a month to go before i get mine... ordered it in early june 2020... it almost feels like a scam, but i'll wait until it's supposed to be here.
I know the back order on them is ridiculous.. Iâm thinking of going with maxnomic instead but itâs gonna cost me like an extra $200..

Hey Stu, thank you for the detailed review. As someone thats currently using a Titan 2020 Softweave I have 2 major issues and maybe you could provide some input (cant find this compared anywhere). For you does the lumbar support move higher up the back in the Titan XL as I find the regular Titans lumbar support to be too low, if so could you quantify by how much? Additionally from the pictures an videos it looks like the upper shoulder supports are flater? I have an issue not being able to put my upper back flat into the top portion of the chair because those top bolsters dig into my shoulders. Those 2 things are whats preventing me from liking the Titan and im hoping an XL would fix that.
You definitely need two people to assemble it to make it easier. Wish it came assembled.
Definitely! Although the changes make a big difference from the old style of assembly... that was a real nightmare on your own!
