Medal of Honor. A series that has forever changed the way first person shooters are made. When the franchise debuted in 1999, no other action game had managed to successfully capture the intensity of the 2nd World War for which Medal of Honor is now famous. Its cinematic scope was a breath of fresh air in a crowded market of formulaic shooters and it quickly became the design template that many other developers would base their games upon. Even if you’ve never played a Medal of Honor game, you’ve certainly felt the repercussion of the iconic series.
But what happened to EA’s once-great property? The franchise that formerly saw massive, worldwide success, with games that kept raising the bar for other first person shooters, hasn’t seen a release since 2012. To answer this question, we will not only cover the story behind the series’ rise to prominence and ultimate downfall but also provide a comprehensive overview of all the Medal of Honor games that have and haven’t seen the light of day.

I'll be real honest, the 2010 Medal of Honor literally had me in tears at the end of the campaign. I never get emotional but they did such a good job in that campaign, its a shame that Warfighter didn't follow that up. I'm an army vet that has been all over Afghanistan. 2010 MOH made my jaw drop. The attention to detail of the scenery, caricatures, missions, multiplayer... you name it, was simply amazing. The FOBs, villages, and mountain terrain were perfect. It brought me back. I was very excited to play Warfighter after 2010 MOH, but, sadly, it wasn't even worth playing IMO.

Personally for me MOH started to lose to COD when they started to do more multiplayer rather than a good, long ,single player campaign just as Cod lost me when they did the same, I stopped playing them all when they just concentrated on multiplayer, for me it's all about the story, the characters, the history I still replay the originals they still have massive playability because of the story behind them.

Medal of Honor (2010) and Medal of Honor: Warfighter should be brought to the XBOX ONE through backwards compatibility.
Medal of Honor: Warfighter was released on October-23-2012, that was a while ago. If you ask me, EA and the developers should take an honest look at the modern world today and the War on Terror. Don't pull back and don't be politically correct (fuck the SJWs and the Regressive Left). But don't exaggerate and make an Alt-Right wet dream (fuck those people too). Just show the situation as it is. That's how they should build their Campaign around. Make a fictional story that is highly realistic. Put the Campaign time setting in 2015-2020, and put the areas of operation in Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia (for the most part). Use the positive elements of the previous iterations as your building blocks.
Now for the Multiplayer, all the post-launch maps and modes should be free of charge for all players across all platforms. There should be no community split, I cannot emphasize this enough. No microtransactions should be in either. The purchasable DLC should be new weapons/equipment and cosmetic items, this could be all covered with one single Season Pass (that is under $25).

What I meant by that, is that I don't want them creating wild exaggerations of the situation that is Radical Islamic Terrorism. Remember, the Alt-Right looks at non-whites (black and brown people) to be inferior to white people.
By the way, the term "Alt-Right" was coined and promoted by Richard Spencer back in 2010 (if I remember correctly). They are an actual group, they are a collection of weirdos with stark similarities with the Regressive Left and Islamism.

Agreed. Instead of making a compelling single player campaign, developers rely on MP to be the "bread & butter". Single player seems like an afterthought. I remember the original Half-Life SP campaign just kept going and going. I stopped spending money on FPS games after COD: Modern Warfare. I was pissed at how short the SP mode was (4-ish hours) and I'm too old too keep up with the ADD teens in MP, lol!

Ahh, with or without EA's direction this franchise would have hit a wall. Blame them for their sins, but what did they really screw up so badly with this one? It was a franchise based on historical war, strong narrative, and linear design in a market that got over-saturated with historical war games, grew obsessed with feature multiplayer, and where every single player game needs to be open world now. The changing temperament of gamers as a whole killed this franchise. So EA stopped making something that people stopped asking for and stopped lining up to buy, what villians. To survive (as something that makes money) it pretty much would have turned into exactly what Call of Duty is today I believe.
