So nice to see a Memoria Press video, I had years to research homeschool curriculum before we started and I decided on MP. We’re now about to finish second and I have had zero regrets, so happy with them! Love your tips, I’m about to add a Kindergartner next year.

Awesome! I love Memoria Press! I have also been enjoying their Simply Classical
for my struggling learners. I am so glad that my tips were helpful for you! 😊 Adding another kiddo can be difficult at times. You got this Mama!

I’m starting homeschooling 2 of my 4 kids with Memoria Press mid-way through the year 🤪 and am so thankful to stumble across our video. Especially because I have boys as well. I’m a very “tell me what to do and I’ll do it exactly” person which I why I’m thankful MP lays it out for you. But I know I really need to loosen the expectations as the curriculum is jam packed and there’s only one of me! I like your channel name- we definitely need lots of grace 😊

Definitely put a focus on your core subjects if you're starting mid-way through the year. If you only get those done some days, that's totally fine. You got this! 😉 They really do lay it out for you. Thank you! Grace is definitely needed in this homeschool journey. 😊

This is very helpful! We haven’t started homeschool yet. But I love what I have seen from memoria press but also want to do some family style learning. So this helps me a lot of figuring that out

This so so helpful! Be sure to put Memoria Press in your title or somewhere in a tag because I find that more and more people are looking for information about MP and I think that will bring a lot of viewers to your channel. :)
I was also a public school teacher who decided public school was wrong for my kids AND me!
Do you find it’s harder / you need more time for direct instruction as you go up in grades? (I am looking at third and there are so many more pieces - IEW, poetry, heavier Latin, etc)

Yay! I know I was bit all over the place but tried to share the things that help us. I had Memoria Press as a tag but I definitely needed to add it to the title. Thank you! 😊
I feel like there are lots of homeschoolers that were once teachers. That's definitely saying a lot. 😉
I have been looking through the 3rd grade and 4th grade to figure out some writing to cut out because my boys have hands on things they're good at that I want them to have time for (whittling, etc.) They do lose somethings in third grade that make time for others. Phonics, calendar time, and copywork. The poetry becomes their copywork I believe. The IEW was super easy for us, it's one day a week. My child with dyslexia loved it and it was super helpful for him. Latin is one lesson over two weeks. Also, half is done in 3rd and the other in 4th. Hope that's helpful. Maybe I will do a video on going into third. It seems a bit scary. 😅

@@gracefilledday2696 thanks! I need to really sit down and put my hands on the second grade manual. I am looking at it just in skimming and it feels like so much now; I can’t even imagine the switch to third. I’d love to see a third grade walk-through if you’ve done it already. I think the level of difficulty definitely seems to jump in third grade!

    Hello Everyone!
Anymore questions on how I homeschool multiple children or classical homeschooling? What are some of your helpful tips for homeschooling multiple children?

Hello, just wondering, do you know if the Second Grade Literature Guide Set has any reference to the Bible or anything similar to it? :)

    • @gracefilledday2696

      Hello Sonia Rodela,
You're going to have a very hard time finding classic literature without references to the Bible, going to church, or with moral lessons. If you're asking if the Literature Guide Set has reference to these things. I am going to say there maybe some references to these things but not overly. Just when the subject comes up in the reading as part of the discussion questions. It's a Christian curriculum. If a flip through on the second grade Literature Guides would be helpful for you, I would be happy to do a video for you? 😊

do you have their worksheets as digital? You mention printing them out

I copied them from the workbooks. I don't want to tear up the books. Plus, we're just using them at home and don't have the money to buy a workbook for each kid. Lol! You could tear the pages out of the workbook and put them into folders. 😉

What grades are you teaching now? I have only used MP as well! My kids are1-7 and we have used preschool through first. Excited to move everyone up next year but wondering how to swing it all as more kids add on! I did 2 kids this year and 3 this coming year (3,5 and 7 year old). What have you thought about Latin?

      Hi Kaitlin Farley!
I am teaching one child that has dyslexia (and ADHD). So, he's doing a mix of grades. Some 4th, 3rd, and 2nd for him. I am also teaching 2nd grade and Kindergarten this year. Plus, have a preschooler and a tot.
Next year I am doing 4th, 3rd, 1st, Jr. Kindergarten, and a tot. To be honest you have to simplify it to make it work with multiple kids but they still learn so much! Latin has been great! I have started doing it with all the kids at the beginning of our day because the little kids like it too! 😉

Wow, that’s a handful! My oldest had autistic tendencies, but thankfully has greatly improved after doing numerous digestive helps and drugs. She had a bowel issue as well that had to be dealt with but along the journey of fixing that her mental health greatly improved! So all of that to say, I no longer have a child like that in school. What a blessing! Are you doing preschool with your little one? I’m doing 2nd, kindergarten and could do preschool with my 3rd. She is smart and ready, but I’m not sure I am. Lol 😂 I waited with my second kid and we started him in junior kindergarten for the first time. Do you do all the extra enrichment stuff? We haven’t ever done the crafts due to finances and I don’t always do the art cards and music. I love MP, but sometimes life is way too crazy for all of it!! 🤪

That's such a blessing you were able to figure out things that really helped her! We have been working on my oldest son's diet to see if that helps him. I don't normally do preschool. They catch on to so much the older kids are learning. I read books to him before bed and I have him say his alphabet and practice his name some but that's all. 😉
I pick one enrichment to do. I don't do crafts because they do those the one day we go to co-op each week. I fit Friday and Thursday school together. That way we only have four days of school each week. I do the enrichment before we start in the morning but we don't do everything! It's like a buffet with lots of delicious food but you can't take everything. 😂
