I liked Star Wars The Force Awakens, but I definitely feel there's been a complete overreaction in regards to how good it is. It's basically the number 1 movie of 2015 on EVERYONE's list of CZcams film critics, and honestly, it's a good movie, but it really isn't good enough to be ranked as the best movie of the year, at least in my opinion. In terms of being a better movie, The Hateful Eight, The Revenant and Mad Max Fury Road are way better than Star Wars, heck, in terms of pure enjoyment I'd even rank Kingsmen higher than Star Wars. Again, not saying Star Wars was bad, but my god there's been some utter brilliance in 2015 and yet everything seems constantly overlooked purely because they've made a recent Star Wars movie that isn't bad so everyone is orgasming over it when really it's just a good movie, not great, just good. Being a fanboy is okay but at least acknowledge being clouded by the fact that you're just happy the movie wasn't bad as opposed to loving it for what it was.

I know what you mean. As much as I loved Force Awakens, I know it isn't the best movie I have seen this year (that'd probably go to Creed or The Martian), but I would still but it as my #1 only because it is my favourite! I mean, in my top 10, I'd put Kingsman in a higher spot than The Revenant and The Hateful Eight even though I think these two are better in term of acting and technical achievement

+The ZenOne There's definitely been a lot of favouritism for to Star Wars, ranking in the top 10 would be deserved but number one is pretty ridiculous. There's been a complete disregard to actual quality as a movie and just a bunch of emphasis on whose the biggest Star Wars film critic fan. I love Jeremy Jahns, I love Chris Stuckmann but Jeremy wrapping his suit in a Star Wars curtain (or bedsheets, whatever it was) and Chris showing his Star Wars collection of books and toys and jizzing his pants at every new Star Wars trailer for the year, I can't take any CZcams film critic seriously when it comes to that movie, all of them clearly have rose tinted glasses for Star Wars when the movies are above average, and that's fine, I get it, but for me, as a movie it's good, but completely undeserving of any top movie spot and I'd severely struggle to even call the movie great, for me thanks to Mad Max it wasn't even the best action movie of the year, let alone the best movie of the year.

I loved it from a purely entertainment standpoint. I had so much fun at the movie that I'd be lying to myself if I didn't put it on my own list. This year is wasn't very good for movies. There were some greats but not as many as last year. Top tens are purely opinion.

He said he knew it wasn't the BEST of the year. But it was the most enjoyable movie of the year. It was a movie that let him esacpar his real life problems for a few hours and get sucked into this incredible galaxy. Which, at the end of the day, is what I think Star Wars is about.

To be honest I'm getting a bit tired of seeing Star Wars as #1 on peoples top 10. Is it an american thing to rate Star Wars so high?
What Force Awakens is, is a movie which doesn't dare to take ANY real risks. It's a fun movie, but it's a safe movie which borrows too much from A New Hope. It's doesn't feel original or able to bring new to the franchise. I mean watch A New Hope and you'll see that it's basically a ripoff. It's a fun flick, yes, It's just not the best movie of 2015 by any means. The nostalgia just seem too strong in some people and their joy of it being decent makes them overrate and overhype it. I just don't get it. I liked it for what it was, but that's about it.
I'd say Sicario and Mad Max: Fury Road are the best of 2015 I've seen.
What I loved about Sicario is that it takes a dump on most american movies made in Hollywood. It's so unlike typical Hollywood mainstream unrealistic action, it feels real, it feels intense, it dares to take risks (unlike Star Wars), it just dares!
What I like about Mad Max is pretty much everything! It's not realistic like Sicario, but instead of just being silly, it goes all the way and dares to be some entirely else of what we're used to seeing. It's a rollercoasterride filled with dedication, hard work and amazing craftsmanship from George Miller. Watch and learn stupid Fast Furious and endless other brainless Hollywood farts. These are real movies! So my picks are:
    1. Mad Max: Fury Road
    2. Sicario

Movies are subjective doesn't anyone understand. If Star Wars isn't your favorite movie of the year that's your opinion, plus this is favorite movies not the best. There is a difference between something that is that is the best or something that is your favorite.

I saw The Revenant for the first time tonight and I must say I was utterly blown away. Star Wars was... eh... it was pretty good. Mad Max Fury Road was probably my favorite of the year, mostly due to the fact that I love car movies. Anything with vehicular mayhem is an automatic thumbs up for me, which is why I also liked Furious 7. I've been a fan of the franchise since I was a kid and I must say 7 wasn't AS disappointing as 6. I also really enjoyed Creed, as well as Spectre.

However, Mad Max: Fury Road on the other hand was a clear winner and easy decision for me for my number 1 movie of 2015 because it blew me away on so many levels, it did what no other action movie did in recent memory which is recived a best picture nomination at this years Golden Globes and it's the most complete movie in general of 2015 IMO

I have seen several recent films more than once (The Martian, Inside Out, Ex Machina, MI-Rogue Nation), but only one film holds my personal best of 5 times, Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Maybe not the best critically acclaimed movie, but one movie, like was said, is fun and can be watched multiple times.

    10. Great Pixar film! One problem..."Cars 3" 😖
    9. Good spy post "Cold War" movie.
    8. Hell yeah! This movie is dope. Plus, watch it with a Blu Ray and it was awesome with a sound effect.
    7. Good movie with nice imagery of snow and a good revenge story. Leo, I hope you will win this Oscar award. You're getting into it.
    6. It's a good experience to see one astronaut survives in this one red planet. It's more better than "Interstellar."
    5. My favorite film of the year.
    4. Really good movie with a 70mm presentation.
    3. Didn't see it, but I will check it out in another time.
    2. Good point man, this is a big action film that it is done by Justice.
    1. Oh boy, like Jeremy like Chris and you have your favorite top spot? I love "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," but there's another original movie that I wanted the see the most? That's fine by any standards.
