I feel the same, woodsman. At 44 and 42 years old, my brother and I have made some lifelong memories hunting together throughout the West. Hunting the areas learned as a kid close to home are always special. Lord willing, we've got more to come.
Very good to have Boyd on point again. Such a positive, go-after-it attitude, and great humor overall. Hangin' out with family on a hunt is VERY awesome. Very nice episode.

The scenery makes this hunt worthwhile. Of course that's pretty easy for someone that's sitting on their ass at their computer desk. I have hunted with family for about 47 years now, and I don't really think that I'll change that practice regardless of how merciless those rotten son of a guns can be. Thanks for sharing this hunt, much appreciated from a flat lander.

Nice....Enjoyed the video...Brings back many memories. My guess is I've walked many of the same trails., ridge lines and canyons that you guys have. Even tho I'm older my boy and myself still hunt those same areas. Still get back to that small town and wonderful valley quite often. Great to see the many cool places. Thanks for the vids. I should give Tim a hard time about living in Utah. Maybe I will cut him some slack. Can't wait for the next Solo Hunter.

@@solohntr Oh man..I feel better know. Got a boy down there in Vegas. Serving for 2 years. Will be home this fall. Was out in the valley today fishing on the reservoir. Still a good foot of snow on the ground at my Dads house. Beautiful day out there today.

Elk in Idaho are getting slaughtered by wolves. Since wolves were reintroduced into Idaho around 20 years ago they have gotten way overpopulated and our elk, moose and deer are paying for it. I've lived in Idaho my whole life and for those of us who have hunted Idaho can agree that it's not 1/4 of what it was before wolves were reintroduced. The number of cattle getting killed is also at an all time high. We need some more people out here to help shoot our wolves or else our kids won't ever get the hunting opportunities we have. Buy a wolf tag, get out here and smack em!
I've lived in Idaho my whole life too and couldn't agree more! Wolves are so overpopulated in the area I live that they've started pushing all the elk down into the town where they've been getting hit on the roads and ruining crops and fences. We need more people to get hyped up about wolf hunting and put an end to it. All of the areas I've hunted my whole life have been nearly wiped out completely because of wolves.
Whoever decided to reintroduce wolves into Idaho 20+ years ago really ruined a lot of our heritage. On average a wolf kills 20-30 elk per year, per wolf! Brandon Pitchers Idaho wolf hunting 2018 video is a prime example of what I hope all of us hunters can do at least once in our lives for our elk and deer. I just hope when my grandkids grow up that they'll still have elk and deer around.
@@Ace-oz9uy You've got it! There are a lot of folks down here in Idaho who are getting pretty frustrated at the wolves in the state. Ranchers and hunters especially, because their animals are getting slaughtered.
@@crewclark1482 I plan on getting on some wolves here pretty soon myself because I've had enough with them.
If everyone was as hyped about wolf hunting as they were elk hunting we would have them all killed in no time!
