When i heard the live of belgium, i already knew it had a big chance for NQ even tho the studio version was in my top 5

Yeah Belgium has a bit of a track record for songs being great in the studio version but flopping hard live😊
staging was very bad also i mean at least put some thought into it im still soo salty abt it it was such a good song
@@mehmetakifderin6606 Belgium doesn't have a record of good stagings, so it was expected. The visuals in the MV were beautiful, so I was like "keep it in the staging" and when I saw the microphones I was crying "but not like THAT" lmao
Also he's not made for the stage. He has too much energy and it was really awkward for me to watch his performance. And it's crazy that the best part of this performance was when he wasn't singing (at the end)...

Absolutely true! Actually, the version of Mon Amour for Eurovision is sung live, there is a separate studio version. You know someone is an amazing singer when that studio version sounds the "worst" compared to the live performances.
Vocals speaking the Netherlands is better studio, but the live performance was incredible, so funny and dynamic
I think this year pretty much everyone was able to deliver live. Personally I was most impressed with Norway, France, Latvia and Georgia. I wonder if the lead singer from Australia might had a sore throat? He seemed to hit the notes just fine until the end, when he started singing it differently.
He was one of the singers that got sick during their time there so he switched up the vocals a bit so he still can deliver.
Marina from Greece had also got fever and pharyngitis prior to the semi final, thats why she was struggling with the endurance and the vocals in the semi as also a bit in the finals.
Love how much Aiko improved from her NF😍 She almost qualified😢
At first, I was having doubts if her performance was going to be one of the worst, especially how it was in the beginning. Seeing the semi final and how much she improved was awesome. I really did wished she qualified and the performance is one of the best I’ve seen this year
Sometimes the polished studio version works better, sometimes the intensity of the live performances are more enjoyable, and sometimes both versions are very good!
I like both songs from Belgium and the UK, but unfortunately the live vocals negatively affect their standings. I was very impressed with the live vocals from Switzerland, Ireland, Slovenia, Portugal, Ukraine, Norway and France. Croatia was my favorite song, studio or live: however, the staging and the crowds’s enthusiastic and excitement added to the amazing live performance. Ukraine was interesting: I really like the song in both versions, noticed they added more from the vocalist in the live performance.
Perfect direct (vocally speaking) for me: Germany, Portugal, Luxembourg, France, Norway, Iceland, Czechia, Switzerland, Moldova and Israel.
It's just so amazing to see how all crowd shouts "WHOOOA!!!" when Croatia performs ❤
no hate towards joost he has some great ideas and great song writing capability but the live vocals are jsut not it even just during the euro-pa-pa moments he was really breathy and sounded like he was struggling also with him in the GF would take points from croatia and place quite low in juries

Someone has worked out (because of blanks in the vote on the website) he would have scored 58 from the juries. Good but not great.
@@RBenjo21 would’ve had a similar fate to Israel high televote around 50 points from jury it would’ve widened the margin between Croatia and switzerland

I just hope the exposure they got from this compensates for the sad voting results. I really like their style and sound and they were my favorites with Croatia and Netherlands (though NL lost quite a lot in the live vocals), but i never heard of them before.
@@olgahein4384Gåte are a well known band with followers around the world. Don't think they really suffered in any way from that, and gained some new fans that didn't know them before. Considering that their entry is wildly different from ESC mainstream, I honestly think they just wanted to show off their style and Norwegian culture, and for me it worked out splendidly.

The funny thing is that UK songs also last year and this year were amazing, as studio version, live a complete failure🥲

lets not forget that in almost all the performances they are heavy backing vocals in the live versions as well. That is why it is hard to sound bad in the eurovision anymore
This year I actually found the vocals to be very strong, most of them are really good singers, the exceptions where I had something to complain about are:
Austria: Kaleen has a rather weak voice and sometimes sang far too softly compared to the music
Australia: Actually the singer from Electric Fields is pretty good, but for some reason the high notes at the end of the song were very strange during the live performance, I can't explain what happened there
Belgium: Mustii is not a bad singer, but unfortunately his voice had no emotion at all, which was very important in his song
Estonia: They just can't sing well, but that's not so important for this song
Finland: Same here
Netherlands: Same here, Joost is definitely not a good singer but nobody cares about that with a song like this
Poland: Very weak voice
San Marino: Megara's singer isn't that good either
Spain: Unfortunately she really can't sing well, I'm sorry
I thought Finland’s vocals were actually quite good.

some of the ones in NQ had problems (except Fahree, Hera, Besa, Natalia) but everyone in the final sang perfectly and many of these songs are not easy to sing at all. I doubt we will see many karaoke versions of Ulveham, Jako or the Code, their voices are on another level

2:48 i really miss the original part of Mon Amour, it was SO EPIC and personally more emotional than the acappella one
you could had taken the exact part for australia instead of taking the one after he switched it up during the end of the song to have the exact comparison. ^_^
To me it seemed as if the singer from San Marino couldn't hear herself during the semi performance cause she was off key most of the time and she partially also fiddled around with her earpiece.
Yeah some of these songs I’m just going to stick with the studio version I don’t need to relive Austria 2022 again 😢
I prefer Spain's live version: so much energy, crowd singing with singer. Amazing.
Also liked Germany, France, Ukraine live performances.

Very good live: Sweden, Latvia, Lithuania, Cyprus (he deserves special attention at only 17 years old), Azebaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Greece, Albania, Serbia, Slovenia, Denmark, Estonia, Ireland (that scene invoking the devil scares me. .) and Ukraine.

For me, the same thing happened to the United Kingdom as the last edition. The live vocally lost a lot. A shame for two unforgettable songs.

Another thing that I ONLY noticed today is...Sweden actualy made a half tone down chance of kye to Sing live!!!! To Sing more confortably or to sound more Doom heavy...
The UK was so focused on hitting the moves that completely missed the mark… and the public didn’t let that slide 🤣
For me Portugal and Norway were the ones that sounded much better than studio version.

Armenia: Live (now for the record I don't like the song and I'll never like it, but it was SO good live! totally deserved 8th place)
Australia: Live (I'm judging music video vs live performance here unless the music video is the nf performance, and as underwhelming as this was live, I NEVER want to see that lyric video ever again, it's jarring and scarring for life honestly lol)

I think Norway not is studio, but live, same for Armenia. The norwegian song is about norwegian nature, with wolfes, it's very exciting, are you calling it for studio? Gåte didn't deserved the last place. I wanted them to win the whole Eurovision, with this more mightful song then the bastards in Eurovision believe.
