- My first BIG Dynasty in College Football 25 is with the Buffalo Bulls, a 1 star program that has never been ranked higher than #23 and has only won 3 Bowl Games. A big challenge is ahead as I aim to build this program into a college football powerhouse. Recruiting will be a major challenge and the lack of resources will make it tough to rebuild the Bulls. But I've been waiting 11 years for this game, and I'm ready for my newest Dynasty.
In this Dynasty I will play on Heisman difficulty. I will be playing every single game with no simulating. Not every game will get its' own video, but no significant action or important storylines will be missed. I plan to spend many years trying to build the Bulls into the best team I can.

This is the gist of what freshman running back Lamar Sperling says to me during our "interview" in the Bulls practice facility. I nod politely to him before rushing to the nearest athletic trainer.
"Is he always like that?" I ask her, and she makes a vague noise of affirmation.
"Sperling? Yeah he's...he's, just a guy who's really focused on football. He hasn't spoken a non football related sentence since the Obama administration, at least according to his family."

sperling is a freshman which meeans he was probably born in like '05 or '06, so realistically depending on how soon he learned to talk, he might not have spoken a non-football related sentence in his entire life lol

Loved the pace of this episode. Glad not each individual game has to be a 40-minute video. Part of the reason I’ve become uninterested in your series in the past is because some days I’m simply not going to watch a 34-minute Week 12 matchup vs. UTEP when you’re 4-6. Loved the recruiting updates in between. Noticed you’ve gotten better at not showing minimal yard runs or worthless incompletions while not sacrificing storytelling. Keep it up.

Oh, I meant to mention it in yesterday's video, but sway doesn't do what I think you think it does. If you read the tool tip, what it does is potentially flip motivational cons to pros for you and you only. So, if you have a guy that has 3 known motivation pros and 2 of them are D's or F's, you use sway to focus on the good pro and and a pair of other dealbreakers to convince the guy he cares about those things too.

Hey Cane, another fun video. Not sure what sliders you're running, but watch this felt very much like when I was playing as Eastern Michigan on base Heisman sliders. For me, my issue with the base Heisman sliders is that the game feels very much focused on user skill rather than player attributes, QBs rarely overthrow, WRs rarely drop open passes, etc. Fun for the hardcore players, but personally I think for those who like more 'realistic' gameplay that imitates real life, like yourself, some slider adjustments would do wonders. It makes it far better for highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of players, e.g. QBs with low accuracy, DBs with good man but low zone, you get the point. Either way, I will be enjoying the videos, and the chaos week by week is fun, but I do think this will help highlight the importance of building up the Bulls roster year by year.
The fall back to earth
This episode felt so much like a second channel episode. It definitely fits the two games !
The games themselves felt like the early heisman (untouched sliders) dynasties i've started. Heisman difficulty is no joke in this game. It's built for arcade/online-type players and clashes with the realism playstyle. I have succeeded in having a few authentic games, but 60% of the time, this is the gameplay I have gotten.
I think episodes in this recap style can work in this series, but only if it's an occasional mix to the usual commentatary style you specialize in. Would work well as the multi-episode style.
Some recent dynasty bugs and things to note:
Roughing the Kicker happens extremely often. Often enough to where I have it turned off on purpose. False starts also happen most of the time you audible or hot route.
Pursuit has acted very strange, with LBs and safeties commit way too early, cutting way too far forward on what should be simple tackles.
The second quarter is known to crash games.
Super Sim can freeze your game when trying to exit.
On occasional, the CPU will have a play where they break almost every tackle attempt.
Weird game results, FCS upsets and upsets in general have caused interesting results in dynasty (i.e., Texas State going undefeated every year or Alabama losing 7 games).
Random number swaps to weird numbers has happened (backup qb suddenly wearing zero. Has happened in every dynasty of mine so far.)
Top Stories page has been known to display games as "in OT" when the game has a score that is too large to have been the result if an OT game.
Other opinions/ideas/notes:
A Pac-12 rebuilding would be cool to keep track of even though we are across the country. This could also be a future series idea.

So excited to see what this dynasty's identity will become! Been around since Minnesota GG's dynasty and haven't missed a series yet. Hope my points are insightful to some people. Also at a 1-star school (Marshall).... I found outside of Week 0, there's no reason to waste time scouting. I only have 350 hours a week. Going after 3 star and a couple of 2 star players, they are all better than I already have on roster. Bust or not, I'm going to find a use for them on the team.
I said the same thing. The hours are too valuable to waste on scouting when the player is gonna be an upgrade for me regardless

I was in the other room and I heard Cane say "Leon D..."" and nearly fell over. But it turned out to be Dingle instead of Daniels. 😭But for a millisecond something came alive inside me lol.
Played against Jackson Paradis in highschool, kid was a beast. My boy and I separated his shoulder in the championship game on a tackle, or else he probably would've beaten us single handley in the championship game.
Its crazy how you can play good against good teams but bad against teams you should beat or play close. I got smoked by Mich St (Im IU) but i went into OT 31-31 against the #1 OSU at Ohio St. Then the game froze in ot because thats what the game does.
Rough game against UMass but liked seeing the Bulls show they could overcome adversity to start 1-0 in the MAC. Run game was much better against NIU which helped the RPO and screen game and helped Ogbanna overcome a shaky start. Sperling looks like his role increase will be good for the run game, perhaps a better fit with the scheme and personnel the Bulls are working with.
Did a ub save to start (gotta rep the Alma mater) and sperling got up to a 90 for me, 3rd round draft pick

Sway just adds additional correct/green pitches (I've gotten up to 5 (total) green pitches before. Usually you end up 4 tho) . It's so you can use Hard Sell and Soft Sell to fight for recruits against the prestigious P5 Program.

I may be in the minority but I definitely prefer your regular style of video where you are the play by play commentator. In this video it seemed more like you were just commenting on some highlights that you had already seen before. I think it is fine to go at this pace for the early seasons especially since there is less big matchups and all that, but overall Im not the biggest fan of this new style. Just giving an opinion not hating on it, I will always watch Cane rebuilds no matter how they are presented, I just love the play by play style!
After seeing how the computer basically just gave cane a win against my seminoles on the other channel, I loved every second of the umass game.
Hey Cane, not sure if you knew this, but people in the area usually call the school UB instead of Buffalo.
I haven't paid enough attention to know if this is how recruiting works or not, but I have a theory about players de-committing. I think the players that have a chance to de-commit are ones that have deal breakers that "verbally commit" early and then you no longer fit their deal breaker. An issue I might have is my UConn team has a B (B+?) for championship contender and we have a lot of verbal commits from players who require a minimum of B-. If our championship contention falls below that B-, I would think those players would de-commit.
You’re absolutely right. That’s why I’m careful of which recruits I target unless I have a nice buffer. I’d hate to go through all the effort on a recruit just for them to decommit

Missouri never adjusted to your screen game. Figure their DC can't be that bad. And the FCS school continued to run that stupid play up the middle despite losing yardage almost every time.

What're your house rules for when you're playing defense? I always notice you never do much on the DL. Interested in playing that way myyself
I usually try to control a player on the weak side of the formation in running situations but overall I'm trying to minimize my impact. I don't want to play D, but I have to control someone. I'm trying to use moves and get them in position to make a play, but I often pick someone I don't expect to impact the play as much.

i think multi game episodes are better for college, you need to progress faster than madden and especially in the first season its not as interesting watching the players that wont do much for the program
