Has Climate Change Made Farming a Death Sentence in India?

  • For most farmers, crop loss means no education for their children, not even two square meals a day, a mountain of debt - poverty, pain, despair, and for some, even suicide.
Farmers are left at the mercy of climate change, with little to no state support in India, this year has been a series of fatal blows - farmer debts are at an all-time high and farmer suicide data? Well, the government doesn’t share that with us anymore.
The only real question now that remains is: What happens then, to an agrarian nation whose farmers remain its most deprived citizens?

Farmers should stop getting into the trap of feeding the nation.A farmer should stop annuals and any plant which requires to dry up for harvesting. Food forest is the best chance for farmers to feed themselves first and reduce the harvest to increase the farmgate price of their produce.

India is said to have an advantage in terms of cropping and agriculture and the special thing is that India's varieties of weather conditions in addition to soil gives it a big push to cultivate variety of things. From northeast where tea is cultivated to central part where wheat , rice , maize , sugarcane are produced , India has always been in advantage until the phenomenon called climate change start taking its position . Well climate change is a phenomena in which there is abnormal weather condition and this is somewhere a man made cause and some a natural phenomenon.
What ever is the cause and whoever is involved in this doesnt matter as the final sufferers are farmers only as maximum of their produce are wasted by delay in rain and then the October months rain made things more worse as this damaged their crops at massive scale .
The increasing case of uneven climate condition is making things worse for the humanity as a whole and thus its need of the hour for us to take account of the situation and a proper action in this regard and this by not excluding pollutants and carbon emissions because it will be a great mistake if we compare them with wealth . Leaving climate condition as it is for fetching money would make thing worse and we cant expect for this civilised world. Climate change is again a topic of big debate and therefore its human who can save humanity and the mother earth.

    I dont like her face.
I dont like it because she does not understand the intensity of the issues. I might be wrong but, I need more heartfelt reporting as far as such crucial human problems are being discussed.

That's the dumbest argument one can come up with. We are talking about climate change caused by human activities and not natural occurrence.
