I have found an even thicker lube..... it's called super glue of something like that, I don't remember.
I used it one on my Gan12 Maglev....almost as soon as I put it and started turning....the cube basically stopped turning, but then I started using my hammer on it and now it turns pretty fast at 0.3 tps

I found an even thicker lube. It's called cyanoacrylate. It literally makes the cube impossible to turn.

This may actually make sense for lubing the core of more complex puzzles. On the bagua cube, I use automotive grease to lube the contacts between the screws, washers, center pieces, and springs, and it's been going strong for years at max tension. This traxxas 1m is runnier than grease, so it may work well for those applications.

I've been using RC car Diff grease and shock fluid as lube. I think Its the the same stuff, Traxxas do RC. Its available from all good hobby stores. The thickest I have used in testing is 500K and it was just too sticky. 10K diff fluid is fine.
I use the Lavender Essential Oil as lube for my cube. Now my cube smells so good.
I tried Eucalyptus Essential Oil on my cube. It's effectively keep the bugs away when I cube in the backyard and the essence really keeps me stay alert after a long day at work. You can try Peppermint too.

How about Keyboard Lubes? I have Cubing Friends who are also into keyboards, and they say that they've been experimenting with Silicone-based Lubes on their cubes.
keyboard lubes are so heavy, as a cuber and as a once mechanical keyboard enthusiast. Out of curiosity, I tried lubing my weilong gts2m with krytox 205g0, and my gts2m turns slower than an OG aolong v1 or v2 out of the box. I don't recommend lubing your cubes with mechanical keyboard lubes.

Heavy traxxas coats the pieces really well
It makes cubes sticky but strangely not as gummy as thinner silicone

For me, heavy lube ruins the RS3M and their variants. I've tried various ways to clean them out, and they never seem to recover.
Now only you, RS3M 2020 is a Slow cube, I've also tried any "Moderate-slow" and slow lubes, and the cube is over, i just clean and put the fastest lubes that i have and becomes perfect.
Ya of course stock it but imagine putting the whole bottle of 1 million weight traxxas the cube would inttitiate death like hell slow

Hey Cubicle I have a big request to try out, Could you use a limited Gan cube and use the same one but in non limited edition, I mean if you use like Gan 12 Maglev CHAN, then get the Gan 12 Maglev non-chan edition. Then when you get both of them take out the stickers of both of them and place the original Gan 12 Maglev stickers onto the Gan CHAN, that way it’ll look better and also you wouldn’t need to worry about placing the paper stickers. Please try this out if you have the extra money for it

🏎🏎🏎I'm doing a re-watch of this vid because I'm beginning to seriously think about getting some of this and giving it a try... ... for spindle lube only.
I've recently come to strongly believe in spindle lubing. Earlier this year, I had a WR M 2020 Maglev start to squeak. Yeah, squeak!!! I thought it was a spring problem, except it wasn't springs. So, I worked up the courage and decided I could get away with unscrewing each center piece one at a time. I made sure to get some lube into the screw hole, on the screw, and all around anywhere the magnets might rub. (Yeah, keeping the magnets from flying off or getting the polarity wrong was a major challenge.)
After re-assembly, re-calibrating the screws (with a depth gauge [calipers]), and break in, I was stunned at how wickedly fast the cube had become. It had never before performed so beautifully. I've since been lubing all my cube spindles with 🏎🏎Angstrom Gravitas.🏎🏎 Works brilliantly.
Oh, and my fav cube is now the WR M v9 BC... ... can't believe how much I love it, and I'm about to order two more of them.

@@yallknowtheresnofear1199 Right, even without springs, there are still spindles, and it now seems pretty clear that they can have a significant amount of friction. BTW, the latest GAN cubes have plastic spindles, instead of metal screws. I have no idea whether that makes any difference.
@@TesserId okay I see now. I got my wrm v9 ballcore today, gonna set up now... and I won't forget to lube the centres hh, I just imagine it won't be that easy because of the magnets instead of springs but we'll see
@@yallknowtheresnofear1199 Again, I was terrified of doing magnetic center pieces, but got around it. Rule 1) only remove one center piece at a time leaving _ALL_ other pieces in place, and replace it before moving on and removing another. Using something for parts cups is highly recommended. Rule 2) as you unscrew the spindle, strive to control the magnets, retaining the outer magnet on the spindle screw and leaving the other in the well. From there, you can coat the portion of the spindle screw toward (about half to two thirds of the screw) the head directly, as well as inject a drop of lube in the spindle hole (I use a toothpick). I also lube the well and the magnet, as that might also matter greatly. Getting the screw back in the hole with the outer magnet can be a challenges, but this is why I do only center piece at a time. Those are the essentials. Best of luck. I hope you like the results.
