45# Samick Discovery ILF on a Breezy Day

Getting in some 20-yard practice with the Samick Discovery. 62" 45# R3 foam core limbs. Arrows are GT 340 spine, 32" shafts, with 250gr points, 4x4" fletch.
Abrupt end of the video......battery died of hypothermia.

I couldn't afford to buy the discovery bow, so I chose the Junxing F 261 Pharos 21 " Riser, and a set of custom made long length 3k carbon fiber foam limbs, in the 36 lb. range, as rated on a 25" Riser, so with my setup, it's around 40 lbs., with an amo length of 66". I love shooting it

Sounds like a nice setup. I found my Discovery riser at Alternative Archery for $169, and R3 limbs for $105. At the time they were closing out the 2019 risers. The newer 2020 riser has a weight system.

@@shanepitzer4126 I have a recurve bow too so as my daughter. Sometimes we walk together to the local park and practicing our bowshooting. My daughter enjoys every lucky shot very much, but also disappoints with misses. But the most important thing is that we enjoy this beautiful activity!

Are you shooting off the shelf or with an elevated rest? If shooting off the shelf what did you use to build up the shelf?

No, I just stuck a Bear Weather Rest on there. It seems to work fine, but I kind of want to set it up to shoot off the shelf eventually.
