#HGLRC #captaindrone - Věda a technologie
The reason we have so many drones is we want every one you demo. You are having so much fun and we want to also, so we can’t resist buying these toys (excuse me fpv drones) 😂. I like that dongle idea. That’s a neat idea! Thanks again for your demo and see you next video. 👍👍😊
So many toys, so little time to play
I just continue to love your video reviews and gadgets. Someday when I grow up, I will have them too. And I am only 68 years old. LOL!
Well you’re about 7 years older then me, so you’re not far off from getting a pile of fun gadgets & toys!
@CAPTAINDRONE798 LOL!
Many thanks for sharing Captain!; just a quick comment; for those of us who really are clueless with this style of flying; would be great if you could post a video explaining the ins and outs of the technology of what makes this genre tick !!!
This Petrel 75 v2 is a wind fighter, tested mine today outdoor, with 27kphwinds.and still flying smooth..
Long days see your videos, miss u sir
I'm loving my zorro lady voice "welcome to edge tx of my seat!"
4:00 i play free rider on android all the time to get use to fpv. Always thought about using joystick but didnt know where to look. May now i will try that controller
Fun video ! 😃
Cool drone.
Fine review.
Love the Sim !!
awsome steve. love your reviews.
Another awesome video Steve ! Ordered the Petrel 75 whoop & dongle from HGLRC. I'll train inside during winter and take outside in summer 😉
Happy indoor simulator flying!
Always cool information nice set up
always the cool stuff here ....
Hi Steve 👋👍. A very cool FPV drone. Gotta like the mini-whoop drones
Fun and easy to fly. Thank you so very much and God bless you always.
Perfect for indoor flying
Thanks 👍
Hi captain, I'm waiting for your Hglrc Petrel 85whoop review, it's been released already. Thanks in advanced 😊
Cool video nice review I like the small drones
Whoop whopp whomp! Looks like a mobula 7
Looks fun
Footage is really good
I like how they did the battery on this one. The Betafpv whoops will fit ONLY the betafpv batteries. They could have easily done it like this. But they want to force you to use their batteries. I wouldn't force an A30 into a bt2 like you did, though. You can go the other way easily. Thus bt2 batteries could easily go on the Meteor whoops, IF they didn't make the battery holder only hold their battery. It's they tried to stop other batteries with the connector, but that didn't work so they f you with the tray on the drone.
i heard that betafpv has terrific quality control on the remote. they really are are complete betas.
@@VinnyUnion Their Meteor drones are really good. Just they have this battery holder flaw.
Been going through all your videos. Best drone content with genuine personality (plus you reply to comments). Can I ask what you might recommend for myself to get into fpv. Currently have a DJI camera drone but looking for a small fpv to strap a go2 camera too for: indoor footage, more risky shots I don't want to risk my DJI with and fun experience of flying in fpv. What would you reccomend that's budget either RTF kit or the individual bits adding up to similar budget?
You are best to speed around $250 and get yourself the BETAFPV AQUILA16. The reason I say this is because everyone who flies DJI drones has reduced hand/eye coordination since the DJI drone does over 50% of the flying for you. In the FPV hobby in ACRO/MANUAL mode there is zero assistance. The Aquilla let’s you start out in a type of DJI Mode and move your way up to Manual. If you believe you do have great hand/eye coordination then start with the RTF WHOOPFLY16 kit. Once you master flying these type of whoops then you can slowly buy yourself the pro gear and FPV quad.
@CAPTAINDRONE798 Fab, what fpv goggles and controller are you recommending with the Aquilla (if it doesn't come RTF) for that budget?
@@olyrussell9872 Everything you need is in the box
I wanna see this fly with a 2s battery lets goo
Hi Steve! I was wondering, where and how did you learn to fly fpv?
Keep doing what you do!
I started with DJI drones in 2013, then many years later became bored of flying/filming the same things and taught myself how to fly FPV as well as learn the technology and how everything works together.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 That's awesome! Thanks for the reply!
Nixe 1 Steve.
I like the beard. It makes you look cool. Great video.
Thank you! My wife is still on the fence regarding it.
Day: 16
Of asking you to review the bubito fpv drone
Would that work with the ImmersionRC rapidFIRE w/ Analog PLUS Goggle Receiver Module fitted on my old DJI Goggles V2 via the BDI Digital Adapter V2.
If it is the analog module then yes you’d see a video signal
Yes it's anolog so I can get more versatility from them goggles anycase I'll give it a try, thanks.
Hey Steve I was looking into getting the radiomaster pocket ELRS version. Would this be a good alternative or should i just stick with radiomaster.
Radiomaster pocket or what exactly????
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 The C1 you reviewed
The pocket is an awesome radio. 1000mw of power, small, and ergonomic. Plus it uses two 18650 batteries so you will have lots of battery life. Get it.
Hello @Captain Drone , first of All I would like to thank you for your content, my little son and I are big fans . We recently got a mini 4 for his birthday , and we are located in Ottawa, I was wondering other than petrie island, I am not really able to locate this spot , we are looking for spots to fly the drone outsode of rockliffe airport control zone . I would be thankeful if you can help us with some spots .
Hello. When you go to the DJI FLY APP, look at the top and click on FLY SPOTS. Stay out of the heavily restricted areas, unless you have taken the Transport Canada certification test. In a nutshell if you fly in locations that have no humans or moving cars or near buildings, and far from low flying aircraft, you’ll have no issues.
4:10 what’s the flight sim running on a phone?! I didn’t know they worked on mobile, I’ve always been bummed I couldn’t get a sim because I dont have a desktop computer😮
If you subscribe to the STEAM website, you can play most things on your phone. The sim is called FREERIDER
Awesome. What googles do you recommend for those who wear glasses?
For people who wear glasses you need goggles with individual eye pieces that each have a lens that you can focus. This means such goggles are not cheap… $300 to $700.
@CAPTAINDRONE798 I fly the avata the headset is great but for analogue I can't wear my glasses. I know about inserts but before I do. Is their a headset for my glasses. My regular glasses have bifocal. Is fat shark a good headset for those with glasses on analogue?
@@peter360adventures9not really. Only the DJI ver 1 and 2 FPV goggles accepted glasses. Most other goggles on the market are two small for glasses.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Ok. Thank you. I enjoy watching your content daily.
Have you’ve heard of iron quad FPV drones, u should do a review if you can?
I’m not familiar with that brand
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 me either, i have a ace pilot from betafpv and iron quad together, probably did a colab or something.
May i ask if i set my drone high max 120 m and set rth 80m when i fly my drone on mountain down to valley eg as low as 80 m. Can i rth or what drone measure when i go down thanks
My guess is your not talking about an FPV drone but rather a beginner GPS drone like those from DJI that have a flight height setting and RTH setting. Wherever you take off from that is where it will return. The RTH height you select has to be a height higher than the obstacles around you. It does not matter if you fly up or down a mountain, or even lower than the takeoff point as the drone will rise on RTH and the RTH height will always be takeoff height + RTH height.
Thanks a lot.
So if i buy this drone or a seperate BNF drone does it come all setup in betaflight and stuff once i connect a controller can i just fly or do i need to mess about with it?
Ya gotta physically bind it then mess with the MODES tab in Betaflight Configurator so that the drone knows what the switches on the radio are supposed to command it to do.
@CAPTAINDRONE798 ok I will definitely buy a rtf kit then thank you for responding so fast
Where is the link for the mini transmitter add on...
You simply select the version with the Dongle
Would the remote work with the HGLRC Draknight?
Yes, as long as the draknight has an ELRS receiver in it that is running the latest version 3.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 ooh ok thank you
well i want one of these...added to cart.. was about to check out.. but $30 shipping? get Fd! XD no thanks!
Wish I could buy just the Bluetooth Dongle.
The do indeed sell it separately and you can bind it to any 2.4 ghz ELRS ready running firmware 3.x
Do you have a link for the 🥽?
No link. It is analog so you can use any ANALOG FPV goggles. Bangood has plenty inexpensive ones as well as BETAFPV.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 sounds good. Cool videos and educational 👍
Anyone have any luck connecting this radio with a simulator without the dongle? I just got 2 of these C1 radios for my nephews, also picked up 2 sets of of fatshark recon v2 on ebay and planned on giving the boys a couple of my old drones for Christmas because i have so many, i got these radios on rdq black Friday deal for $25 each without the dongle, they didn't come with batteries as expected. But am very disappointed that I can't get these to work with a simulator without the dongles, i tried the usb cable and Bluetooth. I can't find any information saying otherwise, any help would be appreciated. May be a video idea, going through a more thorough instruction of the c1 radio, power levels, functions of the ports, software, updates, ect...
I don’t believe it acts as a usb extension since they designed it to work remotely with the dongle.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 thanks, I've been messing with it more, it wouldn't do anything on my android phone or table via usb, it shows it as hglrc controller on Bluetooth but it will not, but i also just tried my PC, the USB connected abd says usb serial us340 in the device manager, i assume maybe needs a driver or is just for updating, it also comes up as a controller via Bluetooth on my PC and it actually connected and installed a driver that says controller but it doesn't seem to do anything with the games, i think the driver need updated... I know I can connect it through beta flight pass through on a drone but the boys have Android tablets, this sux... I would have got the dongles but they were sold out they only had the non dongle version left
The radio doesn't seem that bad hardware wise, just poor execution of product support, there's always something wrong with everything from hglRC, 😂
@@CAPTAINDRONE798just for anyone else, i figured out that the 3.5mm jack is the ppm out for a wired dongle like an older radio, ppm betaflight passthrough if you have old FC or you can use PC software through soundcard.
Aquila 16 or this?
Beginners should stick with Aquila16. This FPV whoop is for people who know how to fly an FPV drone.
a tad pricey compared to a Mob7.
Great video Steve, but your face looks dirty lol🤣😂
I think "Pretel not Petrel" it's all broken hahaha
