This music and video saved my life and changed it, I discovered it at the right time, about one year ago, when I was at a low point in my life.. Been fan of the Chilis and J. Frusciante for years but oddly I'd never get into this song, and it just hit me so hard.. Best music ever, for me

Incredible John's solo. To me one of the most emotionals. It's amazing what a guitar genius can do whit a couple of notes. He doesn't need to play stupidly fast. He just bends one string playing the same note at the begging of the solo and I'm already melted.
My nomination for best video on the entire Interweb. So great, so beautiful, and John just ripping it up on guitar at the end of the song. Can't get enough!
This video brings back so many memories to me. I remember that stage of my life when I was madly in love with this girl and she didn't even notice me. Then I found out she was meeting a surfer, so after "overcome" that bad experience I started wearing "surf-stuff" like jackets, volcom t-shirts, I even learned to surf in Costa Rica and so on. Thing is that nobody deserves YOU change anything of YOU. But sometimes those changes are what you actually need to bring more or another value(s) into your life.
Same here! The lyrics is so relevant to me. “My what a good day for a walk outside....know you a little better off” she invited me for a walk around the lake for the first time and then I madly fell in love with her. In the end she just ghosted and never talked to me any more. There was wet sand by the lake. Time flies, she faded away, yet I’m still forming in the wet sand.
I don’t know who she was dating later. I don’t know whether the guy she dated likes surfing or not. But anyway, I learned to play the guitar solo and the bass line with full emotion 😎

this song plucked at my heart strings from the first time i heard it. i felt every last note of that solo at the end starting at 4:19 and the build up before it. AMAZING!!!!!!
