The background videos are the music videos for DNA. and ELEMENT. The covers used were mainly fan made or just alternate covers I found on the internet.
U know what, I'm new into hip hop, I started listening 6 months ago....and i quite liked god and it's flow.... And later I saw people saying it's one of his worst songs and I was like holy fuck...😂😂😂
@@sameersayyad6170Thats the thing with kendrick he dosent make bad songs so when people say worst they just mean worser than his other stuff but not worst as in trash
Lust is so slept on man, my favorite part is at the end when he says 'lately i been feeling like james 4:4, say friend of the world is enemy of the lord'
My favourite part of humble is "My left stroke just went viral, right stroke put lil baby in a spiral, soprano C, we like to keep it on the high note, it's levels to it you and I know." right into the hook.
It does sound the same though. It's meant to. It portrays the way our culture gets people trapped in a routine of sin as we are dragged along. It's great because of its consistency. It's meant to feel like operating in a haze.
*MY PERSONAL FAVORITES* BLOOD. - last 15 seconds (wicked side) The ending with the gunshot and the news reporter sound clip. Shows the wickedness side ending when the media misrepresenting Kendrick’s art but he’s dead so he can’t do anything about it. DNA - the first part of the song where he lists what’s in his DNA. Again, the wickedness side of the album really reveals itself here. It’s Kendrick standing on his last 2 feet showing what he’s about just before he dies YAH. - the part where he says “Deuteronomy says we’ve all been cursed. I know he walks the earth, but it’s money to get, bitches to hit.” This is Kendrick admitting that he must commit to finding god, but is too stuck in his ways to change. (1/2 of my favorites in this album) ELEMENT. - Same, solid song overall FEEL. - from 2:45 till 3:00 in the song is my favorite This is one of 3 songs where I don’t like the 1st half but I love the 2nd end. This is the first. The feeling of frustration in dot’s voice throughout that last verse just hits different. It’s kinda like the treat at the end of a shitty road LOYALTY. - the part where they say “It’s so hard to be humble” Another one of the many subtle hints Kendrick puts out to tell first timers to listen to DAMN in reverse. The beat overall too is underrated where it also has that sound of shit being rewinded. The hints of the wickedness side were there all along PRIDE. - the “maybe I wasn’t there” part of the song. Probably my favorite part of the weakness side. The part where Kendrick thinks about another universe where he wasn’t at the end of Blood. The old blind lady never killed him. Shit you don’t recognize till many album listens later HUMBLE. - The main chorus for me. I listen to the “sit down, be humble” line at first I didn’t like it cuz it was overplayed, but now when I do, it’s either weakness where Kendrick tells himself to be humble or wickedness where kendrick tells others he’s better and they should humble themselves. LUST. - Kendrick says “lookin for confirmation, hoping the election wasn’t true…times passing, things change, revertin back to our daily programs, stuck in our ways” Kendrick speak facts. But also shows how disconnected the American citizens are with its own government and react when it’s on the media but if it’s out of sight then out of mind. LOVE. - Love or lust? Another Kendrick hint telling us to listen to the album in reverse. Weakness means giving up lust and finding love. Wickedness means give up on love, find lust. Much like loyalty, it kinda feels like the bridge that leads to the wicked side of the album which is surprising cuz how positive the song sounds. XXX. - god damn idek where to start. Either the “I can’t sugar coat it, if someone kills my son then somebody gettin killed.” Or the “let somebody touch my momma, touch my sister, touch my woman…” This is Kendrick answering riri’s question on loyalty: “is there anybody you’d slide for? Anybody that you’d die for?” But he avoids the part where she says “that’s what god’s for” FEAR. - my 2nd favorite underrated song in the album. Favorite part “if I could smoke fear away, I’d roll that mf up…and then I’d take 2 puffs. I’m high now.” That’s the best part to spark a blunt. Kendrick talks about all his fears and just smokes it away. Felt. GOD. - “I asked you for a piece of mind, you charged me for it. I wanna see sometimes if you ignore it.” Kendrick speaks to god and talks about how he had to face much loss before finding a true connection with god. To the point where he questions if god was even there to listen to his requests. DUCKWORTH. - “if Anthony killed ducky…” We all know why. Thanks for reading, lmk your thoughts on my shit 🫡
Not having "You take two strangers and put 'em in random predicaments give 'em a soul..." part at Duckworth is criminal. The rhyme goes hard and the message almost gives me hope in humanity
the "Is it Wickedness, Is it weakness" depends on how you listen to the track. if you listen to it from the first track, its Weakness, if you listen to it from the last track, its Wickedness
Idk if it’s just me but the intro of humble has two versions. There is one version from the music vid and the other was the one shown in the vid. It kinda interesting for me
lust definitely aint his best but the part at the end where he just says "LUST." and that guitar kicks in is gold. As you said the whole track sounds basically the same all the way through, but that part feels like a disruption, like waking up from the routine kendrick speaks of. Just cool imo
blood was the introduction and the line that you said was the best was most important but the “you lost your life” was too hard then it repeated is it wickedness ngl i would’ve went for that instead
I will not tolerate the slight hate for LUST. The beat is honestly one of my favorites out of the entire album and the lyrics are just as great imo. I didn't know GOD. was so "hated" as well, lmao. I don't mind it
I love how these have justifications. It's like we can try to understand why this guy actually thinks these were the best from each songs. Allows for more constructive conversations and deeper analysis.
if GOD. is one of his worst songs, then Kendrick is a fucking genius because that song is so good
yes
U know what, I'm new into hip hop, I started listening 6 months ago....and i quite liked god and it's flow....
And later I saw people saying it's one of his worst songs and I was like holy fuck...😂😂😂
that seems to be the case with Kendrick, what is considered his worst song would be most other artists best work

I introduced my children to Kendrick with that song. They really liked it. Only have to mute one word.
so hard to read bro
I'll try to make it better in the future

Exactly bro, my favorite moment musically on this album
Like I said man, pride was Def th hardest to pick only 15 seconds
yea but idk every part of the song is hard
That part is so universal I feel high hearing that part
yesss
1:08 The non explicit lyrics of element caught me so off guard 😭😭
Yea. I accidentally did the whole clean version of the album 🙄
Yeah I was so fucking confused I was like what is this song lmao

Yeah saying the whole song sounds the same could not be further from the truth, it’s one of the best tracks on the record
《DAMN.》is the type of ablum when you suddenly returned to it after a while, it still tastes like fine wine
3:14 fun fact is that the original name of the album was supposed to be "what happens on earth stays on earth" but he changed it before release
Yea, it connects to what he's saying in being scared of failing while making tha album
My favourite part of humble is "My left stroke just went viral, right stroke put lil baby in a spiral, soprano C, we like to keep it on the high note, it's levels to it you and I know." right into the hook.
was literally about to comment this
tbh the end of duckworth might be my favorite moment on any kendrick song besides maybe the beat drop on wesleys theory
The Wesley's Theory eargasm "HIT ME" might just be one of the best parts in all of hip hop ngl
beat drop at the beginning of the art of peer pressure always gets me too
I would say the best part of loyalty is the “tell me who your loyal to, is it love for the streets when the lights get dark” verse
Yea, but dj dahi makes the track so good imo
the angry beat drop part of FEEL is for sure the best part
1:07 NAAAAAAAH he did not put the non explicit version LMAOOOOO
saying lust sounds the same throughout is craaaaazy imo, the verse before the one in the vid is straight fire
It does sound the same though. It's meant to. It portrays the way our culture gets people trapped in a routine of sin as we are dragged along. It's great because of its consistency. It's meant to feel like operating in a haze.
nah my favourite part of FEEL. is near the end of the song where he goes "fuck your feeling I mean this for imposters" it just goes so hard
Nah fam on PRIDE that "maybe i wasnt theeeeerrreeee" part and then the guitar right after is def the best part
Props to you for separating the weakness and wickedness tracks even with the right colors
L take for GOD. that song is amazing
It's good
DON'T JUDGE ME
Song is horrible
Idk, its mid
Fr the lyrics are really good
The non-explicit songs are crazy 💀
Bruhhh it wasn’t till the end where I noticed you color coded the wicked and weakness tracks lol
on feel the screaming part is so good bruv

i just experienced chills from duckworth like the 20th time
Shi nice video, you should do it with TPAB

best part of pride is it's intro
LUST should be around the 4 minute mark when that distorted vocal hits
I read this as "the last 15 secs" so i got so confused
ik it's ur opinion but i think the best part on duckworth is when the beat kicks in but, overall nice video man.

2. I’m going to kill myself
god is not one of his worst songs man the chorus goes so hard

4:20, the best length
1:05 IMO This should've been the normal Album cover. It makes the listener understand the theme of the album better and it just goes hard
Damn how many album covers did DAMN have?!?😂
Nah they jus alternates I found on the internet lol
Always I thinked that GOD. part that says "laughing to the bank like haha" is in reference to Chief Keef song named Laughing to the bank
Hold on. This intro to Humble (Nobody pray for me) is the one I'm familiar with, but when I listen to the song on yt it says something different??
kendrick doesnt have worst songs at this point
i was taking a walk the other day
One Suggestion: Drop Shadows on the text

Feel was the "Fuck the world" was the best aprt
Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers next
4:20 length, perfect.

why did you make the text green over a blue background its so hard to read 😭
I think you picked the wrong 15 seconds for lust, you should've done the part where he starts to say, "i need some water"
