I found this video very helpful. I have had this same lawn mower for 6 years and never changed the blade. I am going to give it a go this morning.
I have the same mower before I even started I searched and found your video good job thanks saved me some time!
Single blade is definitely the way to go for my mowing conditions. The bigger twin-blade mowers from Greenworks are much better performing that the 40V Twin-Force.
Thanks for the video. I got mine changed. I sprayed oil on the nut and waited a few hours and it was easier.
what kind of oil you use?
Thanks for the video. You made my job easier!
Thanks!
Changing blades! Ugh our least favorite thing to do.
Subscribed before you reached 1000. Enjoyed your video.
What I learned: 1. One blade retention nut is reverse-threaded. 2. Multiple ways NOT to stabilize the blade in order to loosen the nut. 3. ALWAYS pre-run your task several times so that you need not bumble along learning as you go.
Us men almost never follow directions! LOL!
Thanks. I couldn’t get that reverse thread one off lol. But now I need to know how to replace that same motor. It still works but makes noise like if bearings are bad. Any info on where to find the motor?
Other thank contacting Greenworks, no idea. Replaced the twin-force with a single blade mower a year ago.
@@thefirewooddoctor I'll probably just find one that somebody is scrapping.. I bought mine for $20 from a person who just didn't know how to start it lol
I had the same fucking problem. Ha ha.
I'm not gonna lie - that was painful to watch. Get yourself a good thick (or cut-resistant) glove, grab the blade tightly, and they come off quickly and easily, once you realize that one is reverse-threaded. I only watched to see how all the pieces should be re-assembled because I couldn't find a diagram online. Thanks for the video!
I no longer have the mower, so no chance of redoing it.
Its a piece of shit .. Use an impact.
An impact wrench/gun is overkill, but I like your style.
