THE BIGGEST ROUND YET THROUGH THE 12-WAY WICKED WEDGE!
I am currently bringing in more than inam hauling out this year. All other years, it was the other way around.
Building inventory faster or sales down? Am sure you'll sell out again this year.
Good to see your moving the wood out! Makes room for more😂
Need to get the tree service wood cut and stacked to make room. Going to work on that this weekend.
Any stress you can get rid of is a good thing. 😉👍
@@DanielAtkinsFirewood I'm so stressed that I'm wound tighter than a 7 day clock.
Couple of good looking loads
They were nice loads.
What do you get for a face cord up by you? In south east wi it’s about 75-100. I thought you sold the 28c?
100 with local delivery included. Decided not to get the splitter upgrade and get this one paid off.
@@thefirewooddoctor that’s about the same here.
How about them knots. When the chain gets slightly dull, it's like not cutting well, and all of a sudden, it is cutting awesome again 😂
Yep. Caught myself a few times wondering why the saw isn't cutting so good, then it goes like stink again.
Douglas Fir does the same thing here.
@@DanielAtkinsFirewood would love to have Douglas fir trees here.
@@thefirewooddoctor Pine and Hemlock is the closest thing you got in your area..
@@DanielAtkinsFirewood but nothing compares to the majesty of the big doug fir, except redwoods and sequoia.
I have two different versions of this. I built a legit 61.5cc one and a 47.5cc, the original version. Both run great and have their strengths. Great saw when you upgrade it to a 372XP carb. Makes it maintain a much higher RPM in the cut.
@@MrBooMY3 how did you get the carb to fit a smaller saw?
can see you did not take the time to see if the fire starter would fit into the cover you tried . First time...last time I will watch your mistakes....good luck on you tube
I did try it under that cap, it didn't fit. Thought I said something about it in the video. I guess not. Pretty sure I said something about it getting snuffed out once I poured pellets into the pit. Sorry to hear that you are no longer going to watch my channel. Now, if the fire starter would've worked under the cap, I would've let it do its job. The fire starter didn't fit well under the starter/vent cup thing, so I need a different fire starter.
What I’ve learned when trying to restart it,…is to only put two pieces in. Three or four pieces won’t allow as much air to get in and takes longer to relight.
@@amandadavis9726 I'll try to remember thar.
you like to see yourself on video
Can you show the branch with leaves on it?
I believe it was mulberry. Hard to show the leaves as this was 2yrs ago, and it came in on a load of firewood logs from a logger.
You took out the perforated cup out of the small burner. It helps air to feed the fire…
Cheap ones are soldered in . Disgraceful practice
Must be a really cheap welding helmet if they are soldered in place.
Interesting, thanks for sharing.
@@hayesrutherford9415 was an interesting test for sure!
Flame on.!!!😁👍
So you are the fire guy from the Fantastic 4?
Looks like the saw was doing a good job..
It's not bad for a $135 chainsaw.
@thefirewooddoctor : Not bad at all..
what have been your opinions on running neo-tec saws? I've been looking into a NH895, but I don't see too many reviews of people that have used the saws long term
Don't be surprised if a few small things go on these saws. After all, a real 395xp is easily 4-5x the price of the Neo-Tec. Carb, chain oiler, and the coil are the usual problem areas. This is the 2nd Neo-Tec saw I've bought, and I will buy from them again. I plan on getting the NH895 to be my big saw, if that tells you anything.
When all else fails, looks like you have a can of gasoline handy! :)
Diesel fuel is much safer.
The Friday after the 4th would be the 5th. Better scale back and buy a County Line so you can make a profit for a change. I heard Tyler is a loan 💵 shark 🦈 if you need help buying the vertical splitter from Wolf Ridge.
I'll keep the splitter I have for now. If work hard, can have it paid off in a year.
Put your minivan up for collateral for the $1200 you need for the down payment. If you don’t pay him back the van is his.
@@JoesFirewoodVideos that van isn't worth $1200.
Probably shouldn't take financial advice from JPF.😊@@JoesFirewoodVideos
Probably shouldn't take financial advice from JPF😊.
In a way, sad to see go, but that's ok. Something is brewing in the background 🤔
@@DanielAtkinsFirewood just for that I might order a backwards built splitter like you did.
@thefirewooddoctor : do it. It will be fun 😁
@DanielAtkinsFirewood would be nice to have two splitters. But if I had two, I better be making, and selling, 400 cords of wood per year or she'll kill me.
@thefirewooddoctor : yea we don't need that to happen, so stay on the safe side of the journey
@@DanielAtkinsFirewood even if I quit firewood sales, have been granted permission to keep a log splitter as long as I do mobile splitting jobs with it.
I think I know…
You hush. LOL
Sledge and wedge 😅😅
Funny man. Would make for a ridiculously funny video!
Cheers to bigger and better things 🤜🤛
Hopefully everything will work out fine.
Looks like you might be getting one??
You'll see soon what I'm doing for a log splitter.
New machine on the way. ???
Maaaaayyyyybeeeeeeeee...
Nicely done. Now calculate over the last few videos how much you were paid per word and recalculate it again with this video 😮
LOL! Just wrapping up filming the last video of me using it to split wood.
Did I almost unknowingly let the cat out of the bag the other day Jeffrey?
Let what cat out of the bag? Haven't seen a comment from you in a while.
@@thefirewooddoctor I made a comment 2 videos ago that I saw your splitter for sale on marketplace. The comment was gone. Thought you deleted it to keep it a secret?
@123tanners no idea what happened there. Got things brewing is all I can say.
@@thefirewooddoctor No harm no foul. I saw you were on the WolfeRidge factory tour with other YT celebrities. Hopefully they gave you a sponsorship!?!
@123tanners in my dreams!
Drama in the woodyard. They say all good things must come to an end. Enjoy the journey - cheers
We shall see next week in another exciting episode of "The Firewood Doctor"!
Good to see you staying busy. Glad to see you putting that Perfect Stick to work. Take care and enjoy your weekend.
Might be using it more later today. But first I have to make mini firewood for a customer order.
Well at least you didn't miss Leg day. 😉👍
LOL!
@@thefirewooddoctor 🤣🤣
Yeeehawww. This video is Lit 😂😂
Just had to use the "dueling banjos" music.
Really like the music. And wood stove. But where’s the sneak peek 👀 of new splitter.
@@BW35bucket you'll have to wait and see! It could even be another box store splitter!
@thefirewooddoctor 🤣🤣 you are such a teaser. 🤣🤣
@DanielAtkinsFirewood yeah, keep your yap shut as you know more than anybody what is going on. Or you just might end up with a log lift on the proper side of the splitter.
Call Mike and talk trade towards vertical. But get machine where conveyor could be added in year or two
Call Mike with which splitter company so I can look into their products.
@@thefirewooddoctor Wolferidge
@brandonhoad9033 I've already talked to Ben. Turns out, he was the one who tack welded the 28C that I bought from them. I have a big surprise coming. 😉
Hello Jeff, Definitely got your exercise today, 👏👍🏼🪵🇺🇸
Was a bit taxing to lift those big rounds!
Sometimes going single is the best option we have. Even better when the wood has large knots or twisted 😉👍
@DanielAtkinsFirewood I had to go single for some really twisted grain maple. Never saw maple that twisted before.
Ive had more thefts in Waupaca this year on that stand than i have had in the previous 4 years in appleton! I have them on camera and all just sucks that sometimes people suck!
For what my sales are and the cost of the good cameras that send oics via cellular signal, not worth it for the good camera gear.
A unfortunate part of the roadside stand. Gotta take the good with the bad Doc👍👍
It sucks when thieves hit you. Qorse when thieves hit when sakes are low. Last year drought hurt sales, this yesr it is rain all the time.
Yesterday had a guy drive 62 miles one way to buy a Joe Cord (10’ X 4’ X 16”) of cherry for his smoker for $160. Today I’m going to deliver & stack a Joe cord of summer campfire wood 46 miles away almost on Lake Michigan for $310. Where’s your new vertical splitter?
It will be a while before I get the vertical splitter.
Then why you selling this splitter?
@JoesFirewoodVideos probably sell it over the winter and get the new one in the spring. If it snows as.much as I think it will this winter, will be a serious bitch to shovel out the rounds to split. Going without a splitter from December into early March shouldn't be so bad. Plan is to cut as much as possible if everything isn't cut by then.
JPF...Do you ever wonder if the customers are taking any ticks home with them? Given your recent experiences with ticks you might want to at least warn them to look out for ticks.
Nice load Doc!👍👍
Nice load, but it took too damn long to split. I can't keep up with young bucks like you.
Was raining here too and was able to get all kinds of chunks burn up yesterday
Nicely done, Jeffrey. I also have a split to order coming up this week.
I need to learn how to relax so I have the energy to do 2 cords a day.
@thefirewooddoctor : I am wiped out today from yesterday. Was outside just long enough to run out of line on the trimmer and got a half cord in the trailer..
Looks like some really nice firewood. I like the stuff that splits well. Take care out there be safe.
This batch of ash sure has been stringy.
love that 4 way!
Deja vu haha. I was standing right next to the camera man for this video!
Is a sweet splitter! Probably will be a few years until get this one.
Can’t wait to see it in your woodyard!👍👍
Time will tell.
I have the 28c would you trade your 28c for the 17vs??
If I trade, 17VSC because of the conveyor being able to reach further over pickup truck beds than the attached conveyor 28C. The difference is in the mounting point height for the respective machines.
The rain has sucked for sure.
I test burned a few smaller pieces in the East Oak to find out. But it will burn better if we get some good drying weather for a few weeks.
...and ANOTHER thing; I enjoy using saws that are 'too small' for the job too! If they are too small; they wouldn't get the job done; and your's obviously did. I have a Greenworks 40v 14" saw; and I love it. I have been in situations where it's my 'go to' saw. I save my 24" EGO CSX5000 for the big stuff.
Love my gas saws. I break out the 80V saw for small jobs.
In my younger years; I had half a dozen Stihls; three of them over a hundred cc; so I know what power feels like. Not that my CSX5000 has anywhere near that power. But it does remind me of my 041 Super.
I don't like to be critical of people like you; who take the time and effort to make these chainsaw videos. HOWEVER; the first thing that stuck out to me was your felling technique. Granted; you 'got away' with it this time; but your backcut was wrong on many levels. Watch your video; and then watch videos on proper felling techniques; and you'll see what I mean. Thanks for the video. It was still fun to watch. And I DON'T mean that in a critical or demeaning way.
This video waa made years ago. Have learned a lot since then. This log was a stub of a tree anyway, so probably an extra deep notch cut would've been better.
The face cut; (notch) was fine; it was the backcut that I was taking issue with.
@John-cj3ve I do it a lot differently now. No worries on me screwing up too bad these days.
