    The Kayak Launch is a versatile easily installed adaptable hoist and launch platform for kayaks. It provides a safer, easier, and quicker way to launch kayaks from docks or seawalls. It is made of high quality welded aluminum construction & stainless steel cables. It is a ladder/hoist/launch all in one! For safety reasons Kayak Launch doesn't recommend users to sit in kayak when operating winch up and down. The launch system works with a wide array of kayak makes, models, and styles. Contact Kayak Launch via site above or contact info below and we will get you setup with the best launch configuration to meet your needs. Installation is easy and takes only minutes. Four bolts hold the Launch to sea wall or dock. Kayak Launch is made by Golden Manufacturing, a respected name in the marine industry. Rest assured it is built to last!

    Looks awesome. I could likely use one for our lake cottage. We have to launch from the dock but it is incredibly difficult for myself and my younger girls. They likely could operate this pretty easily.

    The very fact that they wont reveal the price without direct contact bothers me, and makes me think its way over priced. Theres others on the market that dont hide the price. Its not even on their website.

    I’m new to the area and I’m not sure if the canal level changes where I’m at. I am very interested in this product. Thanks for the update.

      I’m considering selling mine just because I might need the seawall space for sailboat video series. If you live in Cape Coral area maybe could show it to you. Mine is double rack system with grab rail and all features.

    This looks wonderful however I do have one question. I live on a saltwater canal in Port Charlotte, FL. What happens if I leave at high tide and return at low tide? Will the launch bed be to high to access?

    • @KayakDIY
      @KayakDIY  Před 7 lety

      +gloriar56 I live on a canal that fluctuates heavily too. I do try to plan tides some in terms of how far down I put it. I usually leave it in lower position than I think I need. It is easier to pull into launch and winch it up a bit when returning then lower it. I pull in and use hand rails to stabilize myself then operate winch up some till bunks touch hull. I can reach the winch from kayak for adjustments if needed. Winch is pretty smooth and effortless to operate up/down. Nice thing I like is no building permit was needed since it is on sea wall and nothing in water. It has 4 anchor bolts that go into sea wall. It comes in 4 primary configurations based on your seawall to low tide depth and width of craft. Don at KayakLaunch.com can help you get the best model to meet your needs. You are welcome to come see mine in Cape Coral if needed.

      So sorry to be so late in replying! After much research I spoke to Don today and we'll be installing one soon! Thank you for taking the time to explain your launch method. I'll keep it in mind.

    Great video, and a smart launch system! But I can´t really see the challenge in this... :-)

      Haha. That is the point. Without it our heavier loaded angler kayaks were getting gouged by the oyster beds on seawall. It also killed everyone's back. Working in the medical field as well we know that backs are nothing to mess with. Back injuries tend to become chronic issues quickly. This is a much safer, quicker, and easier method to getting a kayak in and out of the water from a high dock or seawall.

    It’s been several years since you posted this video. What are your thoughts on this now?

      This one is great unless you are in a tidal environment where the water level changes a lot daily. Then in that case I recommend the Seahorse Docking Kayak Launch because it adjusts with tides automatically via float.

      I prefer either one of these brands because they don’t take up a ton of valuable waterfront space but work very well and are built to last.

    Where can I find information on how to buy these? Also, are they recommended for use in salt water?

    • @KayakDIY
      @KayakDIY  Před 7 lety

      You can contact Don (Kayak Launch Owner) at 239-671-9343 for all purchase inquires. Tell him Justin from KayakDIY referred you.
      The Kayak Launches are great for saltwater! Mine in video is actually a saltwater canal. The design is nice for saltwater because nothing actually is mounted "in" the water. It is all mounted above the water. It is also made of stainless steel and aluminum so it is very corrosion resistant. If you are ever near Cape Coral, FL you can try out my Kayak Launch.

    Really ???? How much this thing cost????

    • @KayakDIY
      @KayakDIY  Před 8 lety +1

      +ramonp485 It costs a lot less than multiple kayaks being torn up from seawall oyster beds. It was an absolute pain to get my Hobie and other kayaks in the water at low tide without turtling or beating up the kayaks. Oyster beds will destroy a kayak in short order. If you kayak a lot and live by the water it is excellent.
