Sylvester: Mighty Real documentary promo

The feature-length documentary Sylvester: Mighty Real will bring back to life the pioneering performer John Waters calls a combination of "Billie Holiday and Diana Ross on LSD." Sylvester began as a child gospel singer and sashayed past barriers of race and sexual identity to become the definitive anthemist of disco and dance soul. With a vibrant falsetto and genderbending persona, he redefined what it means-on stage and in life-to be "mighty real." This documentary will restore to the spotlight a pivotal performer whose music defined an era and whose influence is still felt by dozens of current vocalists.

I was on leave from the marines we walked into a dance bar in the haight ashbury district and lord and behold the voice of Sylvester sang out. I was in Japan when I heard of his passing. "RIP- Sylvester", I am glad we heard you. 🙏

After a long wait.... the TV ONE UNSUNG DOCUMENTARY finally made it's way onto youtube. I noticed in the above 5 min. promo, that whenever they used the audio from Sylvester's last interview from Novemeber 1988, they altered his voice to make it sound like a high pitched pissed-off creature- almost cartoonish. If you watch the UNSUNG Documentary, they also used the audio from that last 1988 interview, but his voice is left alone in his natural speaking voice, which in November 1988 he was very ill, tired and 1 month away from dying. What was the purpose to alter his voice for the above doc? Is it supposed to be a parody or? Very disrespectful and ignorant, and not in the least bit funny.
