- AMALOBOLO ( Slow Jam sase Mlazi ) is a poetic short film about a forbidden love between two young lovers who come from world's apart. Against the struggles of class, the two begin to fall deeply in love with each other. This beautiful Zulu love story takes place in the warm city of Durban, South Africa, showing you both sides of South Africa's playground through the lives of Smanga ( Simiso Zwane aka okmalumkoolkat ) who will do whatever it takes to win the heart of Noluthando ( Princess Zulu ) an alluring girl from a white-picket-fence background of Umhlanga Rocks. The chance meeting of these two lovers makes for a picturesque local takle of the struggle of money, class and love - Nolifa Majozi ( story writer )

Read books bangani, one thing i can tell through this journey and lyrics is that this nigga reads and feeds himself with knowledge, this ain't not dumb creative. Apart from the sexual assault incident, this is a grreat career before our eyes. A treasure to the black youth, a treasure to the nation, a legend in the making. The day umalume released Mlazi Milano, we as NUZ and the greater Durban community, were overflowing with pride. The day the short film was announced, we were anxious and after watching this, we are speechless. To me OKMLKK is an icon, not for partying or dancing, nah. But he is an icon for his artist genius. His work ethic is applaudable, fashion sense is next level, the team he works together with is inspirational and his sound is “futuristic” 🔥. Him and his team have this able to blend retro, modern and contemporary art together to form masterpieces which is paving the way to a new frontier in South African music. I enjoyed this short film especially with his hit songs in it. Hoping to see more art from you and your team OKMLKK.

I have to admit, the Narration and Cinematography is truly amazing. The use of Mise-en-Scene in every frame is visionary and the use of subtitles is genius because it caters for all audiences. Okmalumkoolkat is highly underrated and a true definition of an Artist!🖐
