If you use a vinyl rain gutter as a glide inside your 5 inch vinyl post your hoses can just lay on top of it and slide the whole thing inside... when you take them out then you can also use it to keep your hose straight going from your RV to the dump site.

I think I saw the same video as you. Mine looks almost exactly like yours. The only thing I did differently was I painted my post black beforehand. I also screwed the opposite cap shut on the camp side. I like your hitch pin much better. Mine is a threaded rod with a wing nut that's kind of a PITA. I couldn't find a pre-made hitch pin long enough. Kudos for fabricating your own.

If you get a 4" vinyl eavestrough/rain gutter the same length as the fence post, slide it in first and now you have a pullout drawer for the stinky slinky. As an added bonus, the eavestrough can be pulled out and used as a sewer hose support while you are parked and set up.
It may be better going up to a 6" post and a 5" eavestrough so the fittings fit in better.
I'd love to take credit for the idea, but I can't
I saw it online somewhere else.

I've also seen one smaller storage bay with a basket that has all the sewer stuff including the black tank flush hose and the gloves. It's all that lives in it, that way it doesn't stink anything else. They use a magic hose that is a different color than the drinking water hose.

You think that's a lump? Wait until you get whacked with a Jeep driveshaft! 🤕
Great job, only thing I could improve would be to suggest some kind of tether line / cable so the lids don't get lost.

@@DownsizingMakesCents Yes, did find that vid of his head-butting the hitch angle plate, and I'll give you points for a worse injury, bleeding wise, than my Jeep driveshaft, which acted more like a club, rendering me semi-conscious with a huge lump. Always good to have a 'complete' first aid kit with wound closures, etc. Be safe!

The easiest method I could think of would be to use a 6 inch X quarter inch bolt with a Nylok wing nut at the end. Drill a 5/16th hole through the And the tube. Larry

Rick, hi. A second tube is an option but they are much more expensive and the main point is they are too small for all the attachments. But if you are not a DIY guy you can definitely just have the bucket of accessories separate in your basement. Thanks for your thoughts. Alice

Curious what happens when you force the hose and fitting into the bumper @ 0:24? I suspect it will eventually get it stuck and rip the hose trying to remove it when it binds up. Here is another great version with a spring loaded door, so you don't drive off without the door... The gutter tray is very good idea too.

It Is a very tight fit in the bumper, I keep a piece of pvc pipe handy to push it through the other side when it gets stuck. That’s why I did this project, now I don’t have to worry about it. Larry

Something just occurred to me in regards to going “…anywhere near the black tank…”! When young couples have babies in diapers, moms are troopers when it comes to changing dirty diapers, while dads are usually, “Ahh, hell nah!” Lol! (Well, not my hubby, he did a good job and no gagging.) Enter the empty nesters and retirees, and most couples I see, it’s the guy doing the black tank stuff. 🤭🫣 So guys, what goes ‘round…
