The Praetorian guards also knew how to slow their motions down enough in order for less skilled actors to meet their marks.

In din jarin’s case though they weren’t trying to kill him at all, so that I think is the plot armour part (maybe Gideon wanted the kill for himself)
I have to admit that I'm rather impressed that someone came up with a fighting style that could beat force-sensitives.

@@kodesh1674 I’m not sure of anyone who trains them but the royal imperial guards basically would be in a class of 50 and through fighting each other in a sort of try out type thing and the one remaining warrior gets the spot as royal guard

I just thought of something. If Ahsoka comes to help the Mandalorians, it is possible that she fights all three Praetorian Guards at once like how she faced the three IG series Bodyguards in the Clone Wars movie.
Ahsoka isn’t making a debut in the finale of the Mandalorian. Din is gonna be fighting them as leaks have confirmed
@@AnonymousPilot1206 I don't trust leaks that big, it's too speculative. Sure that's what we all expect to happen, but they have thrown curve balls in the past. Like when we expect to see rebels raiding old CIS ships, but we didn't expect an entire Clone Wars episode. Or in Mando season 2 when Luke shows up to save Grogu.

@@AnonymousPilot1206 I think it's highly likely since her show is coming out very soon and will focus on Thrawn as the main villain of the series. With Thrawn named dropped by Moff Gideon in this episode of Mandalorian, it's highly likely Ahsoka will go to Mandalore to grab him herself to get some information on Thrawn's whereabouts in the finale.

I plan on taking martial arts in the future and I’ve always been fascinated by the fighting style of the Praetorian guards, I would honestly love to fight like them
I'll only take martial arts if I can be a mary sue who doesn't get injured ever but it won't work out like that in rl...

This is Outrageous!
The Echani Arts is actually extremely complicated with three distinct levels of different fighting styles to master. And like Steel Hands it had one prime purpose, to combat and kill force users. Practitioners that mastered all three levels are said to know the bodies of their opponents better then they did. Which is why you could say the Echani arts could allow practitioners to predict the next or next two moves of their opponents. For more details play KOTOR 2.
People didn't realize how vicious they really were and heavily trained to be loyal they were even order to fight each other to the death. We didn't get to see it in the new Star wars movies they were dispatch really. The scene from the mandalorian from the mandalorian did them better Justice.

The Praetorian Guards are so damn terrifying dude! And to learn and master a martial art designed specifically to counter Jedi, is definitely impressive as well. I love how they're also inspired by the actual Praetorian Guards that served Roman Emperors!
They are pretty powerful. Extremely even. Like you said. Echani is pretty good fight style. It's from Knights of the Old Republic. I agree,Praetorians were extremely powerful and capable. May the Force be with you too. Have a great day too :)

I think the martial arts in Star Wars are very interesting you could really tell the stunt coordinator really thought about every single move and making it look as real as possible he didn’t just cut and paste from a popular martial arts film

My 5 theory’s of what could happen in chapter 24. #1 We will see Grogu use the force like never before to save his father Djin Mother Bo and the rest of the Mandalorian’s. #2 we will learn which of the Mandalorian’s sold out there people. My 2 picks or the armorer and Axe Wolfs just because how they both left in time. #3 We could see Bo & Grogu lead the team to the waters to find and get the help of the Mythosaur in which Grogu will connect with it and ask for its help to take out the Empire and destroy that Base!! #4 If Gideon was on Mandalor when communicating with the shadow council then he must be using technology to prevent all communications from leaving the planet as well as any ships from being able to scan the surface. #5 we will see Gideons Dark Trooper Beskar armor is much different. It’s more like a Beskar Iron man type suit because when you listen when he walks up to Djin you can hear mechanics in that suit!!! Also I don’t think they will kill off Djin Djarin this soon. His death won’t help move the story forward. He should not pass until Grogu is old enough to understand that everyone dies even his father!!

their armor is so beautiful i love the red. I heard a rumor that they wore red incase they where struck and injured you couldn't see the blood don't know if that ones true or not but they have black clothing under armpit maybe some truth to it.

I like the look at how bad ass they are but i wouldn't wanna be in pain all the time im in that outfit...It gave them pain for however long they wore it to highten their senses and focus them more...and if they are on call 24/7 to guard then that means that armor ain't never coming off...

What happens if the Jedi knew these forms?
Probably don’t really teach how defend against them. Since the 1000 years before episode 1 was peaceful with no threat to jedi, the next decade was spent with political games and later the clone wars where serious combatants for jedi a few and far in between and then came order 66. And i seriously doubt that one of the few surviving jedi new these techniques or passed them on, meaning they were probably forgotten by the jedi when luke came around and refounded the jedi order

Remember even though they were defeated in the throne room they dueled two Jedi simultaneously, and scored a hit on Rey. Something that few other troops have managed.

I think that fight was fairly good even though the beginning was really goofy but I just laugh at it and yes the fight has flaws but it makes up for cool fighting movies and the best looking guards in the galaxy. Idk I just really enjoyed the fight even though the rest of the movie was mid

These guys literally get folded in groups yet we're hearing about how deadly they are. To who? Anyone from the new trilogy is a joke and are nowhere near the levels of Luke, Vader, Yoda, Mace, etc etc
I said this before and I'll say it again. The praetorian guards were objectively the best part of the last Jedi and I really hope with the mandalorain fans start appreciating them more. When Darth maul was first introduced into Star wars her was the best part of The phantom menace. And eventually we brought him back in the clone wars. I really hope the praetorian guards go through the same arc of being the best part of a overall bad movie and showing up in other content and becoming fan favorites
Sorry but the praetorian guards of TLJ were not the best part of it. There was no best part. That whole fight scene was dopey and laughable.

Those Red Guards fell off since The Mando...Kylo and Rey beat them.
It seems like Kylo Ren is way less underwhelming in Legends (books) compared to Disney's Canon. (movies) Feel like he gets a bad rap. Not dying on that hill, though. No skin in the game, personally. On the flip side, Rey doesn't have a lot of redeemable qualities, imo.
TLDR: yeah, looks like the praetorians got nerfed a bit. However, maybe it isn't that clear cut.

This final episode was nice, but crap at the same time! nobody was a traitor, Gideon died so stupid, the Darksaber got destroyed and so on :/ 7/10
And yet they were quickly taken down by a Mary Sue and a Darth Vader wannabe, pathetic. But in all fairness, it's the fault of Disney and its crappy writers, not them.
They're not crappy writers, the movies are great... if you see them as disney movies and not star wars movies. The writers are crappy star wars writers

they were not a true threat to force sensitives. their styles were all for show, to dissuade things escalating in the throne room.. that's why they were able to be cut down fairly quickly by relative novices in the force, neither full fledged jedi nor sith! now i'm not going to trash the sequels like every other lazy parroting gen y-x fanboy asleep at the wheel, but its obvious these praetorians were not masters of their craft, they were little more than a cult dedicated to the ideas of certain tenants of fighting styles, in other words? it watered down their potency. no living legends existed to teach them in their craft including teras kasi. no sidious, maul or qi'ra to learn from.
Yet Rey and Kylo killed them with ease so they not that powerful.
