    The primary role of Substation Earthing is to dissipate short-circuit current into the earth without causing damage, limit the potential gradient, and maintain step and touch voltages within safe values. The system combines Horizontal Conductors and Vertical Electrodes, connected to non-current carrying metallic parts and neutral points of transformers and generators.

    1. Soil Resistivity Test: Utilizes the Wenner four-pin method to measure soil resistivity.
    2. Fault Current: Determines conductor sizing and overall earthing design.

    4. Quantity & Length of Earth Electrode: Determined by Soil Resistivity Test and Fault Current Data.
    5. Mesh Size for Grounding Grid: Calculated based on resistivity and fault current.
    6. Calculating Touch & Step Potential: These potentials are calculated and compared for safety.

    7. Calculating Ground Potential Rise (GPR): GPR = Ig x Rg
    8. Measurement of Grid Impedance: Estimated using the formula for a circular metal plate at zero depth.

    how Ig will be calculated or in other words how split factor will be calculated

      Split factor will be calculated based on the number of incoming and outgoing line.

    Any problem neutral earth and body earth is inter connected?

      It alone should not be interconnected, it should be interconnected with the grid.
