Heeeeey, thank you so much for listening to the first track from my Debut EP 'Afraid of Quiet'! I am so excited to FINALLY be sharing this body of work with you. There will be two more songs releasing as part of this EP on June 1st and June 15th so mark the dates in your diaries!
This song holds a very special place in my heart as it narrates my experience with stress and anxiety, I hope it helps anyone else that may be going through the same!

I am in disbelief at how professional this song is. This is the FIRST live person music video on this channel! How in the world is this so well made???
In terms of the music, singing is beautiful as always, the lyrics are bursting with meaning and it will take a couple of listens to in order to fully appreciate them, and the melody is stellar. Definitely in the top 10 Lydia the Bard songs for sure

I’m a little shell shocked right now. For years I’ve been trying to get people to understand why I don’t like silence, why I need noise and music or the tv playing in the background. In the quiet my own thoughts and thought processes are too distracting and loud. You’ve portrayed how I feel and what I’ve tried to get others to understand. It took my breath away.
So it might sound weird, but thank you. I feel like this has presented a new way for me to explain to others my own fears of the quiet.

I love this song and how easy it is to connect to it and all the details that show just how deeply and intensely the stress and anxiety feel - But I think the detail I love (and hate just bc it feels so real) is at the beginning I can swear I can hear a high pitched almost tinnitus-like note that persists through the song and I can taste that note. It's just like how my stress manifests irl

I’m not kidding when I say I’ve been staring at the screen for 10 minutes trying to figure out how to adequately describe how amazing this song is. I don’t think words are enough.
I love this song so much already!! I especially love the ending when it just cuts off with no resolution because that is how anxiety and paranoia works sometimes, there's no true resolution to the fear it just gets pushed aside until later.
This is on a whole other level of impressive, the quality of the cinematography, your acting, the lyrics and music is all so unbelievably well done. I could see this blowing up for sure. Amazing job to Lydia and the team that worked on this piece of art!

Something I love is that due to the rapid singing and held notes that there is no quiet and the second that it becomes quiet is when anxiety of Lydia in the video is expressed
The Instrumentals, pitch, cadence, rythem and tempo all twisted together to make a whirling dervish that attack the listeners sences and touches their soul with an accurate potrayal of many minds (including my own).
This song reached into the aetherial creative and brought back an absolute gem that resonates in the soul.
And all of that says nothing about the amazing video. I wept at the image of you catching a glimpse of the version of yourself that lives wild and beautiful and free from the struggles in your heart and mind. Hidden away in your dreams. Being touched briefly by that inner peace only to lose it again when you wake. Realising you are still trapped within the walls of a cluttered room.

The pace of the song is overwhelming, in a way that feels very deliberate. On my first listen it was still ear candy, but I don't think I really _understood_ even reading along to the lyrics. But the more I listen to it, the more depth I find and the more I love it. To me this song is about living with anxiety, but thriving all the same! It's beautiful, and it's taken a spot as one of my favorite pieces of art in my life.
