this gives me extreme chills. I always loved to watch the news when there was a a women in the corner translating it for the deaf people in sign language. goosebumps everywhere
It's a wonderful language to learn, but it's best to meet some deaf people and get all the practice you can if you want to become fluent. I used to interpret many years ago, and I had many deaf friends, and even a deaf roommate so I got lots of practice. That helped me tremendously.
I like this video I'm in ASL 2 and understood just about all of that but I agree it was hard to see their hands when fingerspelling very fast! lol I saw her spell pumpkin tho when discussing her bedroom I believe it was
I believe I got about 70% slowing the finger spelling down to .25! But this is a great help to me I need to watch conversations, maybe subtitles or in comments write out The conversation so I can pick up on the words I haven’t learned yet
Does anyone have any idea where I could find a video of the world's fastest signer? Surely there must be a record of this, just like any other language (words per minute, maybe?). I bet it would be a sight to behold.
It's much different from English in that ASL has its own grammar and syntax. Of course, you can use SEE, or "Signing Exact English," but that's not what the deaf community uses.
@Soso4729 I know this, I sign, I was responding to the comment left by Kandegal that said I ca do tat sori abut spelling imma deef an blind. So i was curious how he watched the video to know that
@Dragonas77 kandegal on the comment right before mine said he can do that sort of spelling but he's deaf and blind. SO I thought, if hes blind..how did he watch the video
What level is this at? As in first semester, first year, etc. I am a home-school student learning and I am trying to figure out where I am skill-wise. Thanks. TwT
Blue Label Well it wasn't recorded to be as fast as possible. I've seen people act like that speed before, it kind of looks sped up but I do not think it is because there is no reason to

She should work on maintaining eye contact with the person she is speaking with... I feel like that is a big deal
Wait, why is he asking her about her bedroom?
Nice job

This video looks sped up doesn't look natural. Needs a clock in the background.
