  • The Fundamentals Of Shot Blasting: Part Three in The Fundamentals Of Surface Preparation series
In the third episode of our series, Josh and Kevin take you on a deep dive into shot blasting. Shot blasting is a unique process when compared to grinding and scarifying. Shot blasting will leave a concrete, steel, or asphalt surface completely dust-free, meaning the floor is immaculately clean afterward.
Learn when to use a shot blaster, how to maintain your machine, and what types of surfaces benefit from shot blasting. Contractors can become more efficient in surface prep when their shot blasters are well maintained and the correct size is used for each specific job.

I love these conversations. I just acquired 2 small machines. The ones just ran one in my pole barn. The questions I mainly have are, how fast is do they go through shot? How to you calculate how much shot to buy for a job? Can the vacuum be to powerful? Can you reuse the shot left on the floor? Is the only way to reuse shot a magnet pick up tool? How do you even calculate going rates for using the machine? Maybe I have more questions than answers from this video. 😅 thanks for the video 😊
