The answer to your question is what nobody wants to talk about which is they're all biased because they don't want a white man up there as the best basketball player. Luka has proven to have had one of the best seasons in the history of any basketball player. Anthony Edwards stats don't even measure up to a fraction of Luka's other than the fact that he resembles MJ on the court. People are afraid to say this but I'm going to call it like I see it and that is that all these analysts are racist. If there was a NBA player like SGA or Edwards averaging what Luka averaged this year they would be comparing him to MJ and probably saying that he's better than MJ but because the player we're actually talking about is white then none of these analysts want to go there. I'm so tired of the Stephen A Smith's, Kendrick Perkins, Malika Andrews and all these bigots who puff up their chest portraying themselves as all knowledgeable in basketball and NBA history and historical stats. What's funny is that if you actually ask former superstars who retired they would give you a different answer. Ask Allen Iverson who he would love to play with in his whole career and guess what he came up with Luka Doncic because he really admires his overall game. Then you've got mediocre retired analysts like Kenny Smith and even worse, non NBA players like Nick Wright and Shannon Sharp huffing and puffing like they're retired NBA veterans who know better than everybody else 🤦🏻♂️. This is the same people that muddy the waters last year so that Nikola Jokic wouldn't get his third MVP Even though his stats were completely better than Joel Embiid's and anybody else is in the league not to mention he wound up winning the NBA championship. The only stat that Joelle had better was scoring and I'm sorry but that alone doesn't win championships. I would also argue that they've muddied the waters this year because although Nikola Jokic put up MVP numbers again this year Luka Doncic's numbers were just as incredible if not better and he won the scoring title this year. I can guarantee you that no one would question Luka if he were black and that's the sad part because they're basing it off his skin color instead of his talent. They're doing exactly what they claim people have done for decades meanwhile you can count how many white men have actually won the MVP in one or maybe two hands tops since the NBA was founded. Even with that disparity they still cry of unfairness 🤦🏻♂️. Kendrick Perkins for example explain how Steve Nash, Dirk Nowitzki and Nikola Jokic we're barely in the top 10 in scoring when they won MVP and he made it a point to say "What do these three men have in common?" Insinuating that they only got the MVP because they were white. We need to stop watching ESPN or get rid of all of these tired, racist geezers and get fresh new blood there or better yet start a whole new non-biased, NO BS sports network

People that have watched consistently Luka since he played for Real Madrid know that he is special. There is no 25yo or younger better than Luka. And there are not many players over 25yo that are better than Luka right now either. He did a MVP worth season. I LOVE Shai but the guy is not better than Doncic. I think his "white pretty face", together with his ability to father his rivals make lot of people hate him and underrate him. Kinda Christian Laettner in the university. Also, being honest, Luka complains too much, which gives people a reason to dislike him. But when talking about quality and basketball IQ, I don't think there is a better player than Luka (perhaps just the Joker).
