My wife and I have two Clam Pavillions, that we purchased five or six years ago; We keep one up all summer (just put one up today in NW Minnesota) although Clam said they weren't designed for more than, say a weekend camping trip. I referred to this video just as a refresher (I'm old) and it went up in a snap, like usual. We resolved the roof collapse problem all those years ago, by using someone else's idea of a telescoping rod, or extension pole, that adjusts from 4'-8'. We bought one made by Plymouth Painter PPE=30048 and put a toilet plunger on the end (no kidding/works great) We have a full-sized picnic table in our tent, (although you could set it on a piece of wood too if you extend it its full length). We insert the handle a ways in a block of oak, with the bark on, on top of the table. The plunger cups the center 'joint' and flexes enough beneath it to prevent the roof from collapsing. Doesn't happen anymore. Take me at my word, this is the fix for that.
Hadn't used ours in a couple of years and I pretty much did everything backwards and sideways. To others camping near us I'm sure it provided some amusement. However once we got it set up a fellow camper came over to check it out. After looking it over she wanted to buy it from us. I will watch this video a couple of times to burn it into my memory. We have enjoyed ours as a sleeping tent when the weather is nice.
I purchased the Cabelas branded tent. This is the best screen tent out there. So easy. We just finished two weeks of camping at 6 provincial parks in Ontario. Every single day I gave 2-3 tours of this tent. So many people wanted to know more about it. I was happy to show them.
My new shelter had extra packaging tied around many of the pole ends so it didn’t unfold as the video shows. Had to find and untie them. Finding was harder than untying.
Same here. Notorious for roof collapsing… if you ask clam, they’ll claim that’s by design lol 😢 You can place an adjustable pole in center and land it on a table to hold the roof up. I think Cabela’s/Bass pro shop sells a pole for it around $40-$50
Took me 45 seconds after my first 30 second failure. The aha moment was when my wife said it was like setting up a pack n play. Sides first, then the top...lol
Several of my poles came loose from the sockets. I contacted the company and they suggested Lock Tight glue. I used it. Someone was able to help me assemble. Taking it down, some came apart again. Now it is a screaming mess. 😢. I bought JB Weld Steel Stick to use when it's up again. I'm distressed😢
Just tried to set up my new Venture and it's a no go. Managed to wrestle one side open, no way will the other sides pull out. Do I call you or just send it back to Amazon? I was really excited to get this tent, but I'm a solo senior woman and this is harder than a regular canopy and they're not easy.

Do NOT order this off of Amazon. Quickset uses Spreetail for shipping and fulfillment. Our 12.5 x 12.5 screen tent broke within 24 hours of setting it up. In order to return it you have to pay for shipping. These things weigh 60lbs!!! It costs about $200 to ship this back, that is half the cost of our original purchase!! Expected a lot better quality and customer service for such an expensive purchase. 😐
I guess that's what happened to me. Several of my poles came out of the sockets. I used Lock Tight glue Like they suggested . When I took it down, it came apart again. 😢
Everything in this video was obvious from the static directions except how to tie the guy lines. This video shows how to tie a cow hitch on one end using a loop that is already secured with an unspecified knot, then shows the other end being looped around the stake with no description of any knot there. The guy lines come with no loops, just the tightening gizmo that isn't useful without a technique to secure the ends. Very not helpful...
I am pretty disappointed in the video as you allude to "some folks" who don't have as smooth as experience setting this up. Well, I qualify as "some folks" and have been fighting with this for over an hour. You provided NO details on how to rectify this angry octopus once the 60 seconds is up. I have tried numerous times to get it back to its original configuration but to no avail. It appears two sections and looped over the roof and it seems like I will either tear the fabric or break the poles to get it unlooped? Suggestions?

I have the Escape and also the Venture models. Love them both. So easy to set up and take down. I’m the envy of the campground whenever I put them up.

Mine didn't go up like that. Lol. The sides keep falling on themselves. Wrestling with it 30 minutes, try again tomorrow
