This is a bit disjointed.
It seems that Michaela is at
some kind of Police facility
where there is no bustling
of Police officers
(phones ringing etc.)
or other individuals.
The Detectives get off an elevator and go down a corridor where there is (again) no other individuals moving about
in the building?
I have picked up by this time
that it is a homicide investigation.
In the flashback Michaela is possibly 8, 9 or 10 years old.
Why is it that the pickup truck is brand new and a model from
2015 or later?
If this event took place 15 or 20 years earlier? --
that model of pickup truck
was yet to be built.
It might have been helpful to get these nuances set in the scenery.
Let's hope in each succeeding episode that the delivery of the situation and the screenplay improves.
** I imagine this is why these individuals are in a state of learning their craft.
