I hate when there is only a cardboard sleeve to hold discs...but the Big Sleeve Edition looks really cool. If I were a LD or LP collector, I would NEED the Big Sleeve Edition.
Hi Nathan my name is Garry and I am from the Republic of Ireland, just in case your wondering why they are two 12s on the UK releases it is because the 12 in the blue colour is the rating given by the Irish Film board, the Irish and British ratings are there because we get the exact same thing as the UK also the age ratings don't always match sometimes in Ireland a movie can get a 18 rating here and a 15 rating in the UK and believe me it does confuse people. P.S your channel is great because of you I knew what to look for to get Star Wars prior to the Special Edition so for that Thank You very much.
As far as formats...I like having them all...BUT, I have all formats of TFA but, up till now, I've only ever used the bonus materials disc. I always watch the digital copy via Roku. I should probably check them all to make sure they work! Of course, at this point, it would be too late to return for a replacement anyway. I do have a 47" 3D TV though and I'd like to check that out at home. The same goes for Rogue One. We are about to move so that might be how I christen the TV in the new house.
Rogue One Junior novel? XD I would love to see how they handled the ending. Do they sugarcoat it or did they go all out? Either way, it would be great.
There are numerous different ones over the years. If you mean the 2020 set where every film got a SteelBook so that there could be a matching set of all 11 films, yes, definitely. Otherwise, the previous years mostly got the same SteelBooks as elsewhere, just potentially with different content. (For example, there were times when the UK got a Blu-ray 3D SteelBook that the U.S. never got.)
It would've been a better deal if the Sainsbury's Rogue One offer included Catalyst rather than a junior novelization of the movie, because who would read a junior novelization of a movie that they just bought/saw?
Well, for that matter, who would need a DVD copy of a movie they just got digitally or on Blu-ray in the case of U.S. sellers? For what it's worth, even if they had wanted to, it probably would have been cost-prohibitive to include Catalyst, since it doesn't arrive in paperback until May. They would have had to package a $20+ hardback in as a free item, which would have probably meant every copy sold with the free book being sold at a loss, which, from a business standpoint, would have been a ridiculous decision. Had the paperback of Catalyst been released in, say, March, so it would be already out a bit with lower demand and available in paperback to add in with the home video copies, I'd say it would've been a better option, yes.
kniferaffe My proof copy arrived today, but there is a typesetting issue with the footnotes. Fixing that tonight to hopefully have a new proof in hand later this week.
When did you buy it? Generally after a while, you start to see copies being sold without slipcovers because they restock after slipcovers run out or are damaged and removed.
Nathan Butler i ordered it for release date on blu ray. In the item picture it had the slipcover. I peeked at item reviews and it seemed to have been a common issue for many others who also ordered around that time. Maybe it was just an isolated thing for amazon but i did find it strange that it was immediately after the blu rays were released
Nathan Butler yh the white and black slipcover thats the one. I understand that you still have the disc and it doesnt effect the viewing experience but it sucks when you look on your shelf and it doesnt have the slipcover like so many other blu rays, including the 'dark side' black slipcovered blu ray edition of force awakens which i had purchased. Im sure in a few years theyll release a "Star wars Stories" collection with rogue one, solo etc so i guess im over reacting lol
Hello i enjoy your videos I have pc cd Rom disc for revenge of the Sith from A.O.L internet that contains a screensaver and interviews. if you would like I post it to you. just let me know regards sean

You should check the versions and covers they decided to release here in MX, we have a mix between US and UK releases
Rogue One Junior novel? XD

Either way, it would be great.
They handle it pretty much just like the film and adult novelization.
Thanks. I'll have to pick it up, so that when I have kids, I can scar them with it. Mahahaha.
Are the Zavvi Steelbooks nice, do you recommend them?

Now I want to give you all the Australian versions
Y'know, I would not be opposed to that. ;)
any update on the book?

I bought rogue one blu ray in uk in release and when it arrived, it had no slip cover. Not happy as it was advertised as having one.
This was an amazon fuck up btw. Many others in the uk did not receive the slip cover. Next time i will. Be buying in store

Odd. Was is supposed to be the one with the white and black slipcover that looked almost like a zipper opening?

The EU Rogue One Steelbook is without title on the front.
UK fans hoping for a textless version to match TFA: "Damn it, Brexiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!"
