- Cord cutting is an extremely popular spell for the baby witch as it looks easy and uses ingredients that most people will have lying about. However although there are many many videos showing you how to do this and beautiful they are too, not many that I have found focus on the difficulties with cord cutting. Witchcraft works in unexpected ways and therefore it is important to be sure of the exact outcome that you are looking for - cord cutting CAN supply this, but equally it can do so much more, for the good and for the bad.
So I want to look at the Witchcraft tips for cord cutting and let me know your thoughts in the comments as this is something that we can all share as part of our witchcraft journey.

I loved that you specified that cord cutting should be should be treated more as a period on a sentence rather than the method of processing pain (in most cases). I never thought of it that way before but I much prefer that approach
I appreciate your attention to the mindfulness and healing aspects. It’s vital. I’m telling my friends to do as much shadow work as they can stand. I’ve seen what happens when they don’t. Trauma never goes away. It goes dormant. Triggered isn’t where you want to be in old age.
My ex and I did a cord cutting ceremony to break our addictions. Needless to say... I was also addicted to her, our relationship ended rather dramatically.

I think you are right on. It's important to think things through before you actually act on them. Well done
This is good to see for once. I was taught cord management. Cords are relationship fed highways of reciprocity so the energy and hence the cord grows in strength as the relationships does. Sometimes temporarily tying off a cord or placing a filter in the cord can help with filtering out negative energy or emotions without the need to cut. We were always warned that if this person has karmic tie to us that cutting the cord can stop the lesson cycle in future lives. Anyway I teach cord management and it is nice to see your warnings as they are so true. Cords tend to manage themselves for the most part when they aren’t being fed with energy. Thinning and/or fading and going dormant.
One of my guides told me this but this is the first time I’ve seen someone mention it. That cutting a cord with someone who is a part of your spirit cycle (is that the right way to word it.) will damage anything in future lives or even meeting in spirit. It’s a reason why my guide won’t let me cut cords with my ex, they step in when I was going to do it and were like this cord is still serving a purpose and shouldn’t be cut. it’s also a very large golden one I don’t know if that means anything though.
What they suggested was for me to find someone to teach me how to heal and manage the cord instead.
How do you just put a pause/filter? I was told to do a cord cutting on my husband. So im not carrying his negative energies and also to take back what ive been giving him. So he can feel the effects of his behavior.

I just did a Google search for cord-cutting rituals and your video caught my eye. I contemplated doing this ritual to cut ties with a former friend who had turned their back on me. also wanted to cut out the trauma from my childhood..... thinking that this would help my depression. Thanks to your video, I now realize I need to focus on shadow work before I cause more emotional damage to myself. From the research I've done on my own, no one talks about the negative implications of the spell. Thank you so much! You literally just told me not to do it yet and in the nicest way too. Thank you! The strength I gained from the trauma is very much a part of me and a quality that is part of the backbone of my marriage. I don't want to risk losing that.

When me and my man and I broke up for 6 months, I was told to do a cord cutting, but I didn't because I loved him so much it was his actions that hurt me and caused me to leave. I was extremely hurt and heartbroken. And my friend suggested it to help me get over and move on. And I'm very glad I didn't do the cord cutting because we got back together and are very happy together 2 years later. ❤️
In my case I had to because the ones I cut off were revealed to be doing dark energy work and spirit told me to do it because of how it was effecting my health and even others I care for. I think this is valid to always inform folks to not just do these things Willy Nilly unless you HAVE to or spirit leads you to.

I totally agree with your stance on cord cutting. It can create wonky results if done to force yourself in getting over a person or situation. Much better to process the feelings and do the cord cutting alongside the emotional work rather than using the cord cutting to remove everything.

Sometimes, using candles is symbolic, while meditation is in sourcing. Honestly, it's all energy, which is intention.

I've done a cord cutting ritual. After my abusive father died, I cut the cord attached to him, with the intent that I would never have to deal with his soul ever again, not in this life or any other. I had done plenty of work to get to that point, including mourning the father I never had, so I was really just done.

With a Scorpio new moon approaching there is an idea that this moon (Nov. 13, 2023) is amplified and aggressive energy leading to cord cutting! Hi Ginny, thank you for this presentation. I am learning about cord cutting. Can you answer me this, is there a time frame I should observe between cord cutting sessions. It’s more personal traumas than x’s from my life. So if I have multiple unique traumatic events that I feel am over. How long apart would be healing.

Any Way you can tell me what my cord cutting flames mean? One went crazy and caught fire. Flames where pretty high and Wild. Caught the whole plate on fire. The other the black one just pretty much melted down. Just laying down at the end and went out.

I was going to do a cord cutting for my ex but one of my guides stepped in and stopped me saying pretty much what you said. They were like you can do it and it will help you forget the person and situation but not the feelings and you won’t know where those feeling are coming from’ they also said that, that cord, which is a large golden one needs to be left alone and it’s still serving a purpose. There must be different ways to cord cutting. I use a selenite wand to cleanse my energy and black kyanite to cut the cords. But I do like your way.

I need this today. I had a terrible childhood and was sexually abused from 5-18 years old… I have tried everything to let go and remove those memories. This will be my next spell. Aw there any certain times in the moon cycle or days of the week that will work better?
I have worked through my several hurts in order to process and take the lessons I was bound to find within them. There is one which does not belong fully to me - I was duped into doing something I would not have done normally. I’ve squeezed as much I can from it is not my responsibility to carry this any more. if you would like to define the relationship with two candles then please do so, it is not 'necessary' but if that is how it 'feels' then by all means have two.

I gave birth to her at the tender age of 14 years.
I didn't have parenting skills learnt by trial and error.

I did a cord cutting on someone I was falling in love with and felt he did not share my feelings. It all went downhill from there and we completely broke up, he ghosted me and I felt devastated and thought about him and regretted it for many months after that. I am still thinking about him.
