  • the selected stadiums has nevertheless taken place. Let's take a look at all the stadiums for the upcoming Euros and discuss what work needed to be planned to further improve the tournament venues.
    It appears that work has been, or continues to be, carried out in every tournament city to prepare the stadiums for the Euros. Some of these changes also have to do with the clubs that own the venues and want to upgrade the arenas for greater fan comfort. However, this will also translate into the tournament, which will take place in the summer of 2024.

      It's crazy to think that apart from the four 2. Bundesliga stadiums in the video (HSV, Hertha, Schalke and Fortuna), there are three more stadiums from 2. Bundesliga that could've made it in the Euros - Fritz-Walter Stadion (Kaiserslautern, capacity around 50000, but a bit less for international matches), Frankenstadion (Nürnberg, capacity around 50000, also reduced for international matches to around 44000) and Niedersachsenstadion (Hannover, capacity around 50000, probably also reduced for international games, but couldn't find information about it)

    I hate stadiums that have running tracks inside, they spoil the football atmosphere.

      Couldn't agree more. It sucks. I have always loved the German stadiums, I remember the World Cup in 2006 and the amazing atmosphere. However, it's a big "stain" on the whole event that the Final will be played in a stadium with a running track. The final should have been played in Munich or Dortmund if you ask me.

    • @Azstromb
      @Azstromb Před 12 hodinami +1

      @@IncorrigibleBigotry The largest German stadium (with international capacity) is the Olympic stadium, the Berlin Olympic stadium is iconic precisely because of the athletic track, it is untouchable. It is the traditional stage for the finals of the German Cup and whenever Germany hosts events such as the Euro Cup and the World Cup, the Olympic stadium will be the stage for the final, in addition, Berlin is the capital and the largest and most important German city, the Allianz Arena can be content with the opening game and a semi-final.

      @@Azstromb You're right on every single point you make, I can't argue with that. My point still stand that football matches played on stadiums with a running track makes for a far less atmospheric game than had it been "track-less" :)

      What makes you say that ???
      As a fan who often watch games live from the stadium i don’t care so much how the stadium looks from outside as long from inside it looks good !
      Both are nice stadiums !
      Cologne arena maybe doesn’t look so futuristic like Allianz arena or Frankfurt arena or maybe Schalke but trust me ,if you will watch a game live you think different !
      From inside looks really nice !
      Look at the foto where is full ,it doesn’t look good ???
      The stadium capacity is 50000 not 43000 !
      Even if the stadium is not to old (2004) Colgne deserves to have a new stadium with much higher capacity ,every game is sold out even when they played second division !
      Cologne needs to have a stadium at least 80000 capacity!
