Am so lucky to have been tutored by Zaha at the AA, so privileged to have her as a mentor and later a great friend. Sadly my last meeting with her was at the inauguration of The Innovation Tower in Hong Kong she invited me to attend in 2014, and I was devastated to be right by her side at the very sad farewell prayer in London Central Mosque 6 April 2016... There was never a dull moment with Zaha, missing her so much!

There are two more buildings that I know that were designed by her, Beijing Daxing International Airport and Xi'an Cultural Centre in China. They are stunning and I feel they are the best of all.

These buildings all look like soggy pastries with their layers taken apart. Or like cargo boxes stacked on top of eachother to me. I honestly feel very uncomfortable looking at the inside of the offices she designed.

ZAHA HADID,s architecture is awesome and will remain as an inspiration to generations to come . I appreciate those structural engineers who very very ably designed the structures .
She is a treasure of humanity. Her work forever changed the direction of architecture.

Gothic cathedrals were about this, some classicist, renaissance or baroque buildings/palaces were about this. This type of buildings make cities more beautiful and attract tourists.
Of course it's stupid to make such buildings in poor countries that still have to develope, but why not in rich countries that has the money to sustain this type of architecture?
After this idea cities like Paris, Rome, New York, Florence should not exist because it takes too much time and money to maintain such buildings.

Zaha Hadid's buildings are very good for the beauty of cities if they are put in the right place to create harmony with other periods.
I love and have innate talent for visual arts but I didn't choose architecture which my arts teachers for 11 years had hoped. I chose law. I really regret.

Her office now goes to Patrik Schumacher but judging from the view designs they have released since her death, he is not nearly as creative as her. Who knows what wonders we would have seen from her if she lived some years more.

I am an instant fan. Her buildings are works of art. A beautiful model posing in front of her buildings would be a distraction to the buildings, her buildings would make the model look good. These are master pieces from the future. Her work is inspiring. Zaha Hadid added so much beauty to this world.
Since Antoni Gaudi I haven't seen more mesmerizing architecture than that of Zaha Hadid!
I know this video was made 3 years ago. But one of her best designs yet is the King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Centre in Saudi Arabia. It's jaw-dropping and literally, out of this world. It's next century architecture now!
