    I think it should be measured at the end of the swim platform. The cost of that wake is sobering.

    love it. Do you think Centurion is working on a fix for the hydro lock?

    • @BoardCo
      @BoardCo  Před 5 lety

      Centurion has a few things in place to prevent passive hydrolock, however if enough weight is added at the rear of the boat it is always a concern regardless of the boat brand or model. More info on the really uncommon issue of passive hydrolock can be found here:

      They sell centurions. Yes their is a bias. But you will find that from every test video with all makes of wake boats. I think you are missing the point of the video (missing the forest for the trees). He never even claims it is the longest, he merely shows you can get a super long wave.

  • @randyblackwell7796

    With this set up and speed, what kind of GPH will this boat get?
    I watched some other videos where your boats were clocking in between 12 to 18 gph.
    I’d like to see the difference if possible.

    • @BoardCo
      @BoardCo  Před 5 lety

      We haven't hooked up a diacom to the boat when surfing with this setup (higher speed, longer wave settings), but we would expect it to consume more than our standard amount of fuel just because of increased speed. Standard fuel consumption on a Centurion Ri237 with a H6 engine sits at around 8 GPH.
      That said, while surfing, the highest number we have ever seen as far as fuel consumption goes was on a fully loaded Ri257 with a XR7 supercharged engine which clocked in at 13.5 gph with the most vertical wave settings we could run. The only boats you will see that will have you at 18+ gph would be a Malibu or Axis with the wedge deployed.

    @joes7838 Před 5 lety +3

    what model, speed, and weight set up were you using?

    • @BoardCo
      @BoardCo  Před 5 lety +3

      Centurion Ri237
      12.5 MPH - In this video we ran at roughly 12.5 mph which creates a longer wave (which, as you are aware, was the point of the video). Most of the time we run around 11.5 mph which creates a wave that isn't quite as long (still 25+ feet) but is taller and steeper with more power.
      Weight Set up - Full Factory Ballast (5,100 lbs.) + Full Crew in the boat

    • @danlee2794
      @danlee2794 Před 5 lety +1

      How big is the crew in that boat? What RPM is that engine spinning?

    • @BoardCo
      @BoardCo  Před 5 lety +1

      @@danlee2794 We had 7 people in the boat with an average weight of probably 180 lbs. We didn't measure RPM but probably right about 3800 with the higher speed. Typically we surf at around 3200 RPMs on the Ri237 at 11.2 mph.
