I have been in Roma and visited multiple times Barcelona, never picked pocketed , the professional thieves targeted distracted people , be aware of anyone with big bags in the front or holding clothes or anything that can cover their hands and looking around , they are most likely pickpocketers, don’t have any valuables on you if possible! These videos are great at exposing them ! Thank you for posting!!

80% of the people I know who have visited Europe have been pickpocketed.
I been through more then ten countries in Asia and on more than 20 trips across two decades and have never been pickpocketed once.
Lost my own wallet twice in Asia and the people who found it - tracked me down to return it.
Europe has a major problem with letting organised crime run rampant.
    Hope they they can fix.

I am always aware of my surroundings, never been squeezed out by these group of people. If you are on a holiday alone, stay with your buddy group. Avoid crowds, but if you can’t do it, make sure your belongings are in front not at the back or on the side. These people don’t have any conscience, so better be safe than sorry.

Good decision. Maybe a Belgrade, is good option for visiting . I am from this town, i heard that is posible ( like in other country ,to be pickpocket by Gypsies ,but didn't happen to me. Avoid crown in public transportation. In fact, YOU DO NOT NEED PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION.(center is 10-15 minutes by foot ).Gypsies are also physically completely different from Serbs, who are much taller, better dressed, and Gypsies are darker, they physically resemble Arabs, that is, refugees (I don't think I'm insulting anyone with that description, it's a fact, no offense, we're not racists)
Since everything is close, I mean the center, you can go around everything on foot in 10 minutes. Just rent a hotel in the center, which is available at every turn.
2 days are enough for Belgrade (Kalemegdran and the Belgrade Fortress, Skadarlija, St. Sava Temple (everything is free) and a night, (since Belgrade is the best city in Europe for night clubbing)...and after that you can leave to Montenegro, by plane, a 35-45 minute flight, there are several during the day, but be careful to get to the Belgrade airport at least 3 hours earlier, since there is a lot of travel to Belgrade, due to the huge number of tourists who like to visit Belgrade.
Montenegro is great for visiting in the summer, especially the Boktor Bay. Tivat Airport is 4 km from Tivta, 8 km from Kotor (Old Town in Kotor, many medieval churches), Herceg Novi (close to the border with Croatia, Budva (Old Town))... From Kotor, Tivta, Herceg Novi there are buses to Dubrovnik (Croatia, Old Town in Dubrovnik). The only problem is that in summer it is better to go by boat through an agency, as there are big crowds at the border. Dubrovnik from Montenegro is best visited in winter (I mean by bus, there are no crowds, you can do everything in several hours without any problems, if you make a good plan, and the excursion itself while the bus goes along Boka Kotorska is unforgettable, since Boka Kotorska is the most beautiful fjord in Southeast Europe.

I always wore a money belt, and only kept enough cash in my small bag (worn to the front) for the days expenses. London was also notorious for pick pockets, photo touts and the like. Just be travel savy, trust no one who comes up to to you and acts super friendly. They have an agenda always.
