    First time installing a radio on the RSX. took me a while to figure thing out but I got it done and it all worked out in the end. Removing the factory stereo was tough and the Walmart installation kit and harness didn't make it any easier. Metra wiring harness and installation kit came to the rescue. The Dual DMCPA70 has all the feature I want in a double din touch screen which are a Capacity touch screen , 7' display , wired Apple car play, and Bluetooth connectivity for a very good price. only thing left to do is sort out the static noise the Acura RSX Type S has because of the factory amp.

    Had a similar problem with my hazard switch causing my turn signals to not work. The problem was my hazard was screwed to panel too tight causing partial engagement of switch. I bought some small washers at hardware store creating small spacer which helped switch to work properly.

    I think that blue wire (it's in the corner, right?) is for accessory power. That wire is present on the 7th gen Civic coupe too. The sedan didn't have it.

    What did you do to fix the problem to get noise coming from the speakers , and your turn signals didn’t work cause either you didn’t have the emergency button connected or you have to loosen the bolts for it

    The problem with the static noise is the bose amp for anybody wondering. You have to bypass the amp, I do not know how to as I will be installing my own amp so I can just leave speaker wires alone, and make sure the head unit has power ground and remote.

    You need to do an amplifier bypass the the type s for u to be able to hear any sound.

    • @vtectherapy7908
      @vtectherapy7908  Před 2 lety +1

      going to do that soon to get rid of static noise. I made sound come out of speakers without bypass just needed a harness with extra blue wire

    Did you have to do any wiring to the parking brake? Been reading and a lot of features seem to not work unless wired to the parking brake.

      Depends on radio Kenwood and Sony just ground the ebrake to black wire, other systems u do it's ez tho it's the only wire coming from ebrake

    Hi, I’ve just made the switch from stock to a touchscreen. I’ve plugged everything in but now there’s a clicking noise coming from around the glove box as well as the amp in the back. It happens only when the car is off even without the key in. Any help on this would be appreciated. Thank you.

    Hmm never had this problem try disconnecting battery maybe when you installed it and turned on your car the double din/aftermarket destroyed/short your fuse so Id check your fuse box
    Or could be the aftermarket is taking too much power/to operate so it’s causing electrical issues to your battery?

    • @vtectherapy7908
      @vtectherapy7908  Před 2 lety

      true definitely taking your advice from now on. I guess this is why they always say to disconnect battery when working on electrical components
