    Best video on the subject, easy to understand and actually shows the adjacency bonuses of everything that applies. Everyone else's is convoluted plus didn't include that, expect you to look it up yourself. Excellent vid and exactly what I was looking for.

    I've had a +13 holy site playing as australia, +1 tundra adjacency pantheon, 2 natural wonder tiles on that tundra, and some forests. I also got a reliable +12 playing as brazil with a holy site surrounded by rainforests and getting the +1 rainforest adjacency pantheon.

    Government Plaza gives a 1.5, (not 0.5 or 1) district adjacency bonus.
    In addition to a minor adjacency bonus, 0.5, it gives another 1.0.
    1.0 + 0.5 = 1.5.
    Your city center gives 1.0 adjacency bonus.
    You cant lump the three together into one picture under a red arrow.

  • @Terrados1337
    @Terrados1337 Před 3 lety +1

    I usually aim for atleast +5 industrial zones. Production is king and setting it up so you get double aqueduct bonus is pretty easy.
    And if the war situation allows for it, I skip most early strategics because spoiler alert: they will block the best district locations.
    But that may just be my luck.

    • @kermitenthusiast485
      @kermitenthusiast485 Před 2 lety +1

      Tip: if you're playing as the Netherlands on most maps, then if you put the Industrial Zone next to a river, aqueduct, and City Center, then you can get +6 adjacency bonuses before taking into account adjacent resources, mines or districts, doubled to +12 with the Craftsmen policy card slotted

  • @alessandrodegirolamo4687

    The adjacency bonus works only at the moment of the construction or it works still after adding some stuff? example: before i build a campus after i try to buff it

  • @nobodynothing282
    @nobodynothing282 Před 7 měsíci

    Each natural wonder tile adds +2, so bigger naturals can grant +4.

  • @lirsanplay9196
    @lirsanplay9196 Před 3 lety +2

    You can get more from Holy site.
    If Wonder have 2 squares and counts as a mountain you can have +6 just from that.
    So its +10 if you have 4 more mountains.

    Good Vid. I have not played the game since CIV Rev 2. Did they game designers decide they only thing they could do for the game was to make it as complicated as possible? I have had to watch 4+ hours of tutorials just to play through the easiest level. Everything as bonus play with near infinite combinations. That may make the game better but I don't think so.

  • @TnavresGaming
    @TnavresGaming Před 3 lety +1

    Never thought of: 1) Waiting for "next" strategic resource before putting down industrial zone (IZ). 2) Or a fine tuned $$$ making city with river/commercial/harbor as your example showed. Thanks for that!
    Going to look through your other videos for (paired cities, triangle/quad cities, etc.
    Seems every city could always use a commercial hub, even w/out a big bonus? Same with IZ?

    • @lucifkaiser2901
      @lucifkaiser2901  Před 3 lety

      thanks :) Ya commercial hubs and industrial zones are generally just good but it may make more sense to situate them in certain cities

  • @docteurdzeta5284
    @docteurdzeta5284 Před 3 lety +2

    I don't think is good tu have harbor and Comercial Hub in the same city because these to district are use to have trade routes but you can only have +1 trade route per city

    • @lucifkaiser2901
      @lucifkaiser2901  Před 3 lety

      Ya depends, I was just illustrating an example of maximizing yields because Commercial hubs get bonus for adjacent Harbors

    • @finneas9894
      @finneas9894 Před 3 lety

      if your playing any civ that relies on high gold output as a core part of their victory condition then yes, you should absolutely try and aim to have a harbor and commercial hub in every city and adjacent when possible. commercial hubs have only 2 major adjacency bonuses which are rivers (1 per district) and harbors.So if you dont place harbors and commercial hubs in the same city you are missing out on half the major adjacency bonuses. If you take policy cards that give double adjacency bonuses to harbors and commercial hubs into account thats even more gold. Gold is a vital part of diplomatic and domination victories, and is also the only universally useful yield in all other victory types. By limiting your commercial hubs and harbors to one per city solely on for the trader, you are missing out on potentially double gold output not even including the major adjacency bonus. Harbors also give production, housing and massively buff the yields of coastal tiles. You should have one in every coastal city regardless if you plan on building a commercial hub or not.
      Edit: harbor + commerical hub in every city is a bit overkill. But you still shouldnt limit yourself to one per city. It really depends on what civ you are playing and what victory type your going for.

    • @artemisspawnofzeus7732
      @artemisspawnofzeus7732 Před 3 lety

      @@finneas9894 a large part of the gold generation from your harbor or commercial hub is from the extra trader which will give you like 10 to 30 gold with an international route.

    • @finneas9894
      @finneas9894 Před 3 lety

      @@artemisspawnofzeus7732 that doesnt mean you only build 1 harbor or commerical hub per city. Harbors should be built in every coastal city regardless if you are intending on building a commercial hub or not. And like I said above, besides rivers they are the only other major adjacency bonus to commercial hubs. The game is literally encouraging you to build them next to one another.

    • @CarlosGomez-tt4jh
      @CarlosGomez-tt4jh Před 3 lety

      Yeah, but you should have one “money capital” city set up like he suggests so you can double the adjacency bonuses with Reyna and start raking in that sweet, sweet cash

  • @DmytroBogdan
    @DmytroBogdan Před rokem

    Quite some inconsistency in the video, like government plaza bonuses

  • @artemisspawnofzeus7732
