    Thank you so much for posting this. I got myself into a predicament today at the car wash and didn't know how to fix it.Your post is very timely!

    It is unnecessary to take the car off “auto hold” or “one pedal drive” through the settings. All you need to is place in Neutral and press “L”. It’s in the manual! I do it every week without issue.

      Perfect, and you use one which pushes the car with the rails?
      I only followed the instructions

    U don’t have to do any of this for an automated car wash. You just drive up and switch to neutral with car still on. This mode is for you to push it off the street if it dies only!

    • @BentheEVguy
      @BentheEVguy  Před 2 lety +1

      So how you do in the car washes which you have to get out of the car?

    • @idonotcarenow
      @idonotcarenow Před 2 lety +2

      @@BentheEVguy exactly the same way I just explained…you leave the car on and switch it to N when ur on the rail ready…

    Good video. I also learned the hard way. It took 6 carwash employees to finally figure it out. I also turn One Pedal off. Is that unnecessary? I missed anything about that “L” button. Nice to know! So, if it’s to put the car in neutral, why the “L?”

    Thanks for sharing. But, to confirm, you don’t take your car through an auto car wash, do you? Oh the pain, for the car paint. I hand wash (whether it is me or someone else) only 👍

    • @BentheEVguy
      @BentheEVguy  Před 2 lety +1

      I never did with this car

    • @BentheEVguy
      @BentheEVguy  Před 2 lety +2

      But, I had a 5 year old explorer went with it all the time to the carwash. Gave it a claybar and a graphene coating. Looks like new

      At our age, hand washing is not an option. However, even though Ford assures this paint is fine for the carwash, we also had a thorough xzilon coating done to our mustang. There is nothing harming this car now.

    it states that this is not a tow mode, any idea what is needed to put the car in a mode to have it towed?

    • @michaelwalker8254
      @michaelwalker8254 Před 2 lety +5

      The Mach-E must be towed on a flatbed truck.

    I'm not seeing the "L Mode" engaged. I also don't see that step in the manual.

    NEVER go through an auto wash. Ever. Every “soft touch” auto wash creates $375 for a professional detailer (like myself) to fix the scratches that were just created. Tip of the day.
