I have to totally agree with John Richards. My camera arrived yesterday and I was amazed at the lack of detail in the instruction manual. This video certainly helps.

Rather than elevator music, a voice-over narration would have been helpful in providing context to this familiarization video. Screen captions serve a purpose as well, but do not replace voice narration. This is Technical Communication 101, folks.
And while I'm at it, this product needs a compact 20-page reference manual that explains every function, option, and setting the camera offers. People who buy $40 cameras aren't professionals and do not have a clue what most of the settings mean or what will be the consequences of using them. And then there are the complications that could arise from using the wrong combination of settings. Why not create a table listing the most effective settings for various kinds of shooting? Right now the user has no starting point. Because your camera isn't documented, your customers become your QA staff and beta testers. You should be paying us.
Tip from a long-time technical writer: If you make a range of cameras you could produce a single reference guide that covers them all, with model-specific icons that point the user to their camera's features and settings.
You might get a sense of deja vu reading this because I'll be using pretty much the same words in my Amazon review of your camera. I've worked in tech for more than 30 years and continue to be mystified by how developers give so much lip service to customer support then neglect to provide their products with the most basic and cost-effective deliverable a customer could ask for: a task-based user guide written in plain English.
CZcams tutorials like this one are helpful but CANNOT replace printed docs. Lack of documentation is a false saving! You are losing money through increased customer support costs, sales lost to competitors who document their products effectively, and reduced customer satisfaction resulting from difficulty in learning a complex, unfamiliar technical product, and bad results from using the products with the wrong settings. Give your heads a shake!

On mine, to playback
push the front (mode) a few times until you see a list of 3 choices.
Choose video, then push the top to select it.
Scroll through videos using up and down buttons
Play it by pressing the top OK
Had to figure this out. There were no instructions.

when i use the camera, everything looks round in the screen instead of strait, is there any way to change that?
This is a function of the type of lens installed. There is software to deal with it if you want to - just search for "correct barrel distortion" and take your pick. I can't advise which, as I have only just bought the camera and haven't tried anything flashy yet.
Can you preview the videos on the camera screen?
Where are the files from the dash cam? When i use the app to look at videos the only videos available are ones taken in film mode.

Has anyone else had an issue where after you turn on the device the screen goes white. It still makes sounds like shutter sounds however I cannot see anything on the back lcd screen

Hi, i have a Crosstour CT8000. I got it on christmas. I used it yesterday and it was absolutely fine. I turned it off for a while with the battery in the gopro, and the card in. I went to use it again to delete the videos so i can use it again next time, but when i turn it on it shows the blue light but the screen is completely black and it won’t let me use any of the buttons while it’s black. Do you know how to help without me contacting anyone or sending it back?

Just got this camera and the WiFi connection to the camera works but if I am within about five metres of the thing, it won’t connect very well but then I also see a Bluetooth option to connect, do u know how to connect it via Bluetooth if possible
Can i charge it if i plug the cam into my laptop or other devise when the battery is still in the camera?
The only bit missing is how to connect to PC, I've tried everything and it seems like random it goes into USB mode and my PC then detects it

I am using video mode, not the car mode... looping isn't the problem.
Obviously you don't understand the problem or know the correct answer.
From what I figured out, the camera is recording the video correctly and it is on the micro SD card as one file.
The camera is creating the one-minute segments when it is uploading via wifi or direct cable connection.
If I remove the micro SD card from the camera and insert it in the appropriate device to attach to my computer, I can retrieve the complete file.
You should add a menu feature to the camera to control this, so the card does not have to be removed

Sarah Swearingen you have to have an micro sd card and a micro sd card adapter wich comes with the sd card and you have to put your sd card into the adapter and then look to see if your computer has an micro sd entrance.
What type of SD card did you get? Like, which brand is it? Amazon recommended buying the 32GB Class 10 Micro SD card model, but I'm not sure if there's a specific brand I should get or not

My CT7000 records the first minute of audio fine, but as soon as it passes that there's an annoying whining. After 1 minute in any video without fail. Any ideas?

The camera is great, but the app won't connect to the camera on my ZTE blade x phone. It will connect to the app on my Samsung phone, but I don't use that one...
How can I get the app to recognize the camera on my ZTE phone? Does it not work with ZTE phones? It is still an Android phone... I had planned on buying at least two more of these cameras, but if they won't connect to the app then it would just be a huge hassle to try to swap SD cards around (which I can't do with my ZTE phone anyway as its using an SD card for combined storage).

you see the max capacity of sd card is 32gb? and you need to see if the sd card is sdhc or sdxc, probably only suport sdhc

Hello sir, we sorry for the incovenience. If you connect the camera to the computer, the display will show two modes: USB Mode / PC Camera. Press OK to switch. No matter which mode is selected, the camera will be charging. Selecting the USB mode is the same as inserting a USB flash drive. You can find the Camera folder on the computer. If the computer still does not recognize the camera, you can contact our after-sales team support@crosstour.co to update the software.
I can't work out how to set the date and time. This video rather skips past it with date stamp. I can get to day date and time, but once 2019 is set, none of the buttons want to move to month? Help? Please
