And i don't believe she will, i've tried to push her towards them but you know how parents are, no matter how much older you get they still feel they're right to some extent. Thanks for your concern though ^_^

Although it sounds creepy and disturbing, they did use radioactive stuff and especially radium in a lot of things. Those things were so new back then that they didn't know it was cancer-causing. Apparently it was effective as a beauty treatment untill they realized they either got cancer or those who drank a lot of radium-infused water or ate chocolate wit radium in it lost their jaws. Their jaws literally dropped off. Or at least that's what I read.

+Annie Nguyen Radiation is in a lot of things, however it depends on how ionising and how penetrating they are
The kind of stuff shown here probably could give you radiation sickness due to the fact that it's supposed to help clear your face
That wouldn't be possible with something so weak
Also ultra violet rays are very bad for your skin in high concentration and dosage
Most beauty products and more in this era contained radium, a highly radioactive material which did cause radiation poisoning and sickness
It also actually produces radioluminescence, which could possibly be a factor in the "glowing" effect most women had
Possible but not likely though haha
But yes this was very dangerous and most likely used radium
