A couple of observations if I may: 1st; I don't imagine God thinking "Oooops, I messed that one, let's create a new creature to fix my mess in that lower world..." then, I can understand your reasoning saying Adam and Eve were not "punished" as following your reasoning this was their original mission, but the snake is well punished. To tell the truth to Eve? Sounds again difficult to follow, God would punish one of its creature to tell the truth to another one? Really nice story but I have many difficulties agreeing with it. Of course He wanted them to eat from the tree, this is why He put that tree in there. Hi Rabbi. Love your videos. I'm learning so much. I'm a little confused about the garden of Eden. Was the garden on this earth or was it somewhere else? The reason I ask is because Adam was naming all the animals, so where was the animals, in the garden or in the lowest part, which is Earth? I just can't get my mind around it. Respectfully, Rabbi Manis, I believe there's a misunderstanding. Your interpretation doesn't resonate with me. You mentioned it doesn't imply 'sin' but rather 'step down.' However, stepping down usually implies admitting a mistake that requires resignation. The portrayal of God you described seems to depict an evil deity, but I firmly believe God is not evil. YHWH is love.....I really don't think you would do something like that to your own children, so what makes you think that God would?.....Do you think you are more compassionate than God? The god you describe sounds more like satan, not like our creator, the loving God YHWH....I wouldn't do that to my own children, therefore I know God wouldn't wanted for us to suffer. I am not as compassionate as The Holy GOD YHWH😇

The way l see it : garden of eden is your childhood, the world is like heaven then. You were also created here as adam or eve was. The word tree עץ in Torah doesn't mean exactly what it means in modern English. See Joshua 2 (don't know the verse # offhand) בפשתי העץ the wood of flax

Rabbi Manis Friedman, not everybody knows the story of Adam and Eve, at all. Firstly it wasn't the 'entity' called "GOD" that told Adam not to eat "the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil", it was the 'entity' called "LORD GOD" who told Adam not to eat the fruit. Not only that, but, Eve had not yet even been created by "LORD GOD", when he told Adam not to eat the fruit. Eve wasn't created from Adam's rib until the very end of "LORD GOD'S" creation. If the "creation story" is read carefully it's very obvious that there were 'two' creations. One creation by "GOD" and the second creation by "LORD GOD"...Why is it so? Because man is created in GOD'S image and man creates his 'reality' in same way that "GOD" created the world. First, the reality is created in the spiritual world or the mind's eye, "GOD'S" creation, then, if the person decides through an act free will, they can manifest that spiritual vision into the material world, "LORD GOD'S" creation. Everything man does in the material world he first creates it in his own mind's eye or his spiritual eye. Man creates his reality in exactly the same way "GOD" created the world. "GOD" created the heavenly, spiritual reality and "LORD GOD" created the earthly material reality.....The question I ask you, Rabbi, is who is "LORD GOD"?.....Being a Christian, I think I know.

Adam and Eve were in an environment that was God’s provision. They were dependent upon Him. Eating the fruit made them like God, knowing good from evil. That makes them independent from Him. (And you can see the worldly people changing their definition of what is good and evil every couple of years, as if they are God). He wanted them to eat of the Tree of Life. But the punishment was that they were kicked out of the Garden, and prevented from entering by a flaming sword. “To prevent them from ever eating of the Tree of Life.” That is because fallen man can no longer be in the direct presence of God, lest he surely die. Only the high priest, once a year, can enter the Holy of Holies. This is a situation that has to be resolved.
Adam and Eve were innocent souls who made a mistake and paid for it, Man is not Fallen, just as there are no Fallen Angels, those are False Teachings.
