The R8 is so beautiful! The Evora is a bargain. For me, it will be heart over head.
Hard list to justify, good job! There's something 'more than the sum of its parts' about the Vantage when you see it in the flesh, even if it's not the best car on the list in a quantitative way.
Great vid Adam and Sam, agree with the list. I’ve driven all of them over time on road and track. I have a massive soft spot for the Aston even though it’s probably the slowest on your list. Incredible style and class and I’ve won a lot of races in them. A good friend had the R8 V10 manual here in Aus which is a very rare car, awesome to drive and the V10 is a big improvement on the V8.

My uncle was always a fan of UK Supercars so I was fully expecting number 1 with Formula 1 pedigree was going to be a McLaren MP4.
I thoroughly enjoyed this list and agree with every entry in it. I could just imagine the cheers my uncle would have seeing the Aston Martin Vantage V8 and Lotus Evora make the list.
Great list - had me looking at Vantages on Carsales! Also - Evora at number 1 - have to agree but I'm a two time Evora owner so I'm biased. Keep the videos coming please!

I’d pick the Aston every day even though it will be a disaster to any owners bank account
Compared to everything other than Porsche they're not that prone to breaking. A lot of Ford era cars are still on the road running fine.

Not sure you can get a “nice” 996 Turbo for 50k anymore. More like 60-70 for a nice one w low miles and a manual. If you don’t mind the miles or a Tiptronic then you can get one for 50k. Barely. But the prices are certainly going up.
The AU Falcon should of been listed (lol). It was available in international markets too!

Why are cars so expensive in Australia as the price differentials with UK & US is ridiculous and cannot be justified by additional transport costs

An alternative 5 Budget Supercar list would be as follows:
02-07 Mercedes Benz SL500
08-13 Maserati GranTurismo
97-01 Jaguar XK8
14-17 Alfa Romeo 4C
08-10 Nissan GTR
I know that people would classify them as GTs or sports cars. But considering what they are capable of then & now. They are Supercars in their own right personally.
Either way, I wouldn’t say no to any of these cars if I had a spare kidney or bone marrow to pay for the upkeep.
But a boy can dream….
The only two of your list that could be considered supercars are the gtr and 4c. The sl55, and xkr would be more reasonable, as would the Mc stradale specifically for the gran turismo. Good choices for cars in general though

The Lotus Esprit and Maserati 3200GT/Coupé deserved spots on this list.
Noticed the r32 r33 and r34 gt gtr and gtr v-spec gojiras weren't on the list which is a surprise.
Also a couple of ideas for videos we thought of were;
Best affordable modern collectors cars
Best affordable iconic movie cars
And may be a segment or series called something like Jim's journal where Jim could give tips and tricks to help save money on maintenance and upkeep on cars.
None of those Skylines are supercars nor cheap these days.
@@nizm0man I think they'd allow the skylines on to the list as they were known as a supercar killer.
Yeah we were torn on those and even the R35 but we decided to stick with the more euro/exotic thinking of "supercar". All totally valid but.

@@ReDriven I mainly wanted to build a project car with the help of some of my seniors. I am currently looking at some sweet early 2000's C5's and 370z's. I had an idea for the 370z, I am also fortunate enough to have the opportunity to do a vh45 or vk56 swap. One of my professors believe that these were the pioneers for the current McLaren engine architecture. Wish me luck!!!
@@rabimunif2078 Oh mate, we have major plans for the future but we're currently a team of 2 with another 2 mates helping and we're still trying to hold down our paying work and relationships and life. Hopefully ReDriven will grow and actually pay us some money so we can dedicate full-time hours to it and produce exactly the content you've mentioned.

Cheapest evora in Australia right now $110k. I like what your doing with this channel but every video I have watched the prices seem to be way off the reality. Maybe I just need to be a better shopper.
Hi Stuart. The huge challenge with the channel at the moment is that we film content weeks in advance only to find out that, thanks to the used market going bananas at the moment, some prices we quote are already out of date by the time the video is published.
We've considered not quoting prices but when we haven't, we've been hit with requests to include pricing, so we're damed if we do and damed if we don't.
Please know we do our best to get all the facts correct but when the goal posts move as dramatically and regularly as they do at the moment, a few things may slip through the cracks.

They are cheap for a reason and they are most certainly not Supercars, R8 might fool a few, Porsche is the only one worth owning though, Vantage? Good luck with that😂
