The writer's probably thought it would be too hard to write around Exodia if he kept it.
@@darksideofevil13 plus in reality it would be somewhat boring if we saw exodia getting played by yugi countless of times in last minute wins. XD So this was a perfect plot hole/twist to the show.
@@CreativeSteve69 Yeah that's what I'm saying. Like I guess they could just make it the occasional win kinda thing where he drew into it. But that would mean he'd lose out on valuable draws, making the duels harder to write.

@@darksideofevil13 Since Weevil threw away Exodia because he “couldn’t come up with a way to beat those cards” Yugi pulled out exchange to make a point of how all he had to do was play 3 copies of it to handle Exodia. XD
