EAS Alert #66: AMBER ALERT Issued By The Sheridan, Indiana Police Department.

- This is the first time I have ever recorded an Amber Alert!!!
Ok guys I captured this just in time last night at 7:55pm. I had just returned to my room from grabbing dinner, and I was channel surfing to eventually turn on Monday Night Raw (WWE). Well little did I know what to expect next when I flipped the WHMB (TV 40) channel. I saw the alert and I knew I had to record it. I got the alert on my phone 55 minutes prior to this alert, which is weird since I did not see the alert appear on TV at that time yet. I also talk for a minute after the alert.
The abducted girl was found safe shortly after this alert occurred. That is very good news. The urgency of this alert was immediate, and the danger level was extreme.

That Screen is not a screen ever widely used, The station running it liked it that way, No other station uses something like that, You saying if they brought it back, this was only ever used by them.

I found info about this turns out the teen was safe found in a public place but also about Dustin fisher he’s an escaped prisoner and a sex offender the teens name was removed from the description because she’s a juvenile
Woah! I never saw the same screen but I remember getting this alert!
I know right! This is channel WHMB-40, and the alerts that come on this channel are known to do this sometimes. It all depends on the alert. If it is a Tornado Warning, there will actually be a picture of a tornado on the screen and it will say tornado warning on it. If you want to see a good example of this check out EAS Alert #63, which I uploaded back in August of 2016.
Remenissions1998 My friend got the alert when he was in CHIGAGO and he got the Exact Same Screen except the bar is rolling.

I think they only do the AMBER Alert sound in Texas, but I could be wrong.

Not the same alert, though I'm pretty sure it's done by the same radio station that did the one that played during Arthur.

Mr. Nersesian the Tank Engine Well to be more clear it meant I was wanting to capture one to say I finally captured an Amber Alert. It is kind of rare to get an Amber Alert when you’re wanting to record EAS Alerts. Keep in mind though I never want to hear about a child abduction go down because it is scary.
To add on, it makes me nervous when I see/hear an Amber Alert, and I’m sure this happens to everyone as well.

Mr. Nersesian the Tank Engine Yeah it’s all good man no worries. It is cropped out like that because of the TV picture settings, and I hate how I can’t fix this issue currently. I don’t have the original remote to this TV. I wish I did though.

In a way it is. We actually have a decent amount of different channels like A&E, ESPN 1 and 2, TNT, TBS, and more. I have to plug in a cable cord into a cable outlet bit that sticks out from the wall, and from there to the TV when I am in my dorm during the school year.

Strange Channel It can be. The first time I heard an Amber Alert (which was probably in 2007 or 2008) I was scared shitless because of the added sound after the long tone.
