- Bride Liz doesn’t want a dress that’s too normal and wants something ‘Unusual’. Luckily Gok has just the thing, however bride is worried it’s a little too see through. Time for some quick alterations.

The mum is smart--not sold initially, but recognizes that her daughter really loves the dress and gives her the space to explain why. Mum works to view it through her daughter's eyes and seeks out aspects that she genuinely likes to compliment.

Gok is by far my favorite fashion consultant in say yes to the dress 😊. He really pays attention to the bride and finds the perfect gown every time.
Mom definitely won this one. She was so respectful of how her daughter felt and didn't feel the need to impose her opinions or to discourage her daughter. Need more mums like that!
I always love the "miracles" where the bride gets the dress of her dreams within her budget!!!!
It was very generous of them to let her have the sample dress. She is lucky to have such an amazing figure to pull it off.
My husband proposed to me when we were in our pyjamas at home in our living room 😂 I would never dream of asking him to redo it.
I love how floaty and ethereal this gown looks. And I loved the fact that it doesn't rely on plunging necklines or so much overt exposure. With the lining, it hints at what's there in a really feminine way. Gok really hit the mark with this gown.
Don't give the dress too much credit. The gown showed plenty below the waist. Gok realized the bride wasn't going to go for it the way it was and he opted to alter it on his own.

With much respect to Gok as always, I personally feel the lining should have gone all the way to the hem because it looked weird being short
I agree. Love the silhouette of the dress, especially the shoulder/neckline, but I would have lined the entire dress.
They knocked an awful lot off the price. I'm guessing it's been gathering dust for a while as no one fancies walking down the aisle with all their bits on display.
So they are making 3000 profit ?
It was a sample, so I'm sure not a lot of women would fit into it right off the rack and the add of a bit of stretchy fabric probably cost them nothing. Gok works magic

She had a store filled with lined and semi lined dresses. That's not what she wanted.

I agree with others, it looks a bit odd with the liner stopping so short. If it was me I would spend a little bit more and do a floor length white sheath dress under the lace. But I am a bit older I guess. I am glad the bride was happy.
It's a beautiful dress but I would prefer the lining to cover the whole length of the dress. In any event, it looks wonderful on her.🌹

Gok disappointed ME with these dress selections. But the bride and entourage are happy, which is the goal.
Exactly. The dresses the consultants pull are directly related to what the bride wants. So when people complain about what they pull, we must compare them to what the bride told them to pull, not what we like to see.
That first dress looks like something you’d wear UNDER a dress. You know, like a full slip.
I don't think it's professional that they showed her several dresses that were more then double her budget.

I don't know if it's actually a thing now, but my husband (we've been married 22 years) proposed to me in my car spontaneously and I've always been a bit sad that nothing thoughtful or planned happened. It was sweet, and obviously I love him, but it is kind of sad to see the looks on people's faces when the topic comes up and it's my turn to tell the story

Do all brides today feel the necessity to look like Las Vegas showgirls with everything on display? I know Princess Di’s dress was criticized for everything but I felt she looked like a bride should. The time for nudity was in the bedchamber on the wedding night.

At the full price, it feels like the gown wasn't finished. That's just the overlay. That being said, she has an amazing figure and can pull it off.

First time I don't like a dress that is chosen on this show. The first one looked the best on her. And the mom was right the top was odd and it was too revealing.

Why do I care about this? I’m not getting married. I wore my mother’s dress to my wedding, which she had made herself. My sister wore it before me. I have no reason whatsoever to be invested in this.

It's too revealing, and the short skin tone skirt looks out of place..these dresses are the worst I've seen Gok bring out, ever..maybe because she pushed him for something unusual..there deffinately are much more beautiful dresses there, actually hundreds of better dresses..

The 1st dress looked like a slip my mom wore in the 70’s minus the fishtail
And it didn't do a thing for her bustline. I kept wanting to pull the straps up. Felt the same about the second dress, too.
I think it was awful for her to turn down the first proposal because she didn't think it was special enough. If I were the guy I would see that as a serious red flag that she was a spoiled brat.
I can relate to her wanting a very romantic proposal as it is only something that happens once or twice in a woman’s life
