graphic card/drivers... I remember in version 1.5 with the Riva 500 graphics card the smoke grenades disappeared when we entered them and the same thing happened when we leaned against walls, the walls disappeared and we could see the other side
in first 3 weeks of cs2, on my 4k 43inch HDR monitor i could see trough smoke when i or some 1 throws it .. literally smoke was blinking and i could see trough it .....

Actually i remember that if you have gpu with faulty it can not load some textures, but it doesn't make sense in any object except smoke because csgo doesn't load players if they are behind hard object (which smokes aren't)
Linux had that issue in cs2 with mesa drivers. Otherwise modified GPU drivers
I know what he doin, i had a problem with my drivers too... He´s probably just using a really old graphics card with test drivers so he sees the smoke as little black lines that make basically everything see through
About a year ago i remember exploit maffia had some servers running which loaded a map without edges of textures so maybe he used that?

@@kyperactive old GPUs, mostly old drivers on them that might not load some textures or if they really slow and can't load some textures in time, faulty is not the right word for it, but whatever

Well, Faceit recently disabled the NVIDIA game filter due to an issue related with the smokes. It's likely this guy simply found out how to see through the smokes with the game filter, which would explain why the anti-cheat never flagged him.
Is kind of odd that this is on CS:GO, whilst they disabled the filter after cs2 came out. Perhaps the issue hasn't changed.

@@DaisiesTC misremembered anecdote, exploit i was thinking of was from around 2017 when you could just rename some game files without it being detected by vac or faceit ac. this is patched now though, so guy in video either used a variant of this exploit that is yet to be found by the general public or is using something else
@@muff9160reshade or NVIDIA freestyle is probably the culprit here, applying custom shaders to a game with smokes that works like in csgo is probably the easiest way to cheat
@@DaisiesTC Saw a Video like a Week ago, ill see if i can find it. Basically this method only works with Smokes. Its a filter that shows the Player model in a different texture so that you can "see" through smokes and shoot them. Pretty Stupid
I had a bug years ago where the smokes and fires just wouldn't render for me, they just weren't there on my screen, I reinstalled the game and the bug went away, but I played like 2 or 3 games with the bug and it didn't go away by itself, I had to reinstall the game
edit: yeah i just saw the 7:02 where he burns himself, it's definitely the same bug, I don't know if the guy replicated it or just happened to bump into it and abuse it but I'm 100% sure that he's abusing the smoke/molo Bug that happened to me

I once had a weird bug where smokes did not show up. After 6 rounds, I finally realised it. I'm shit at the game, so it took a while. After a relog, they were back.
That was like a year before cs2 he might have found a way to replicate it.
There was a CSGO bug years ago, that if you alt+tab for a second, all smokes disapeared. A friend of mine used to abuse this on Global elite and got himself banned for it.
He probably used Nvidia filter to see through the smokes
it looks like he´s only able to see through the edge of the smoke, i know there was some graphics settings that you could set so you could see less of a smoke that he maybe have
mate from what I remember while playing with the graphics and rendering is CS, if you use console commands pre-game you can lower your graphics soo much you have only the outline of certain objects including smoke. For some reasons, characters, map and props(smoke for some reason) have different commands and variables for rendering.
6:43 is amazing to watch. His crosshair is on someone in door, but wants to bait the enemy player into shooting first. His footsteps are heard by the T at box and is then communicated to the T on the other side of door, or his position is very faintly heard by T on door. He waits for the tracers, then fires directly at the T through doors and can use "T fired first" as an excuse as to why he killed yet another player through smoke.

Before I updated my drivers on my amd laptop smokes would be pitch black and it was quite easy to see enemy outlines when they hid in smoke .😂

yesterday i played cs2 match while some clan with matching names and profile pictures they smoked almost the whole map we couldnt see a thing but them they could see us through the smokes and they played with scout too theres alot of thing u can do to see through smoke like wearing some kid of glasses irl u can see players through the smoke its crazy

For the full length of the cs2 beta I could see faint outlines of players through smokes on low settings with a amd 6650xt. It was stupid how unfair it was. The bug is fixed now and only worked on my pc. My brother has a 3060ti and I couldn’t replicate it on his.
Never experience anything like this on csgo MM or faceit.

At least in CS2 there is the possibility to change your Nvidia graphics settings, making you able to see through smokes. Don’t know if it worked in CSGO tho.

I had some problems reinstalled windows and got a video driver from 3dpchip and it was old like 2019 or smth but it was supposed to be stable. Started cs2 and I was amazed of how smooth it was moving even tough I have a laptop with integrated graphics and always complain about the 30 fps but no I had around 55. I get in a competitive game with bots I smoke ramp and the smoke is made out of black squares. I push through it so see if I crash the game and after looking back at the smoke from inside ramp I can see a t bot on the other side of it. I saw his outline somewhat similar to the x-ray from demos only it was blue. Shot him dead than quit the game and found newer driver don't want to get banned.

There was an nVidia filter thingy that allowed people to see through smokes.
there was an option on i think AMD gfx cards called ambient occlusion that would completely remove smokes from cod4. reminiscient of that

Apparently there are settings with nvidia cards that when set correctly it didnt make smokes opaque they drew a dark outline if a player was inside of them. Could explain a lot of the cheats but i dont know how extreme or well known this was because it was "published" after cs2 release.
Also I hate to break it to everyone in here but its actually really easy to bypass a kernel anti cheat. You arent safe on faceit no matter how much you want to belive you are. You arent going to fight blatant cheaters, its always going to be subtle people who are preforming way better than their skills actually show.
The 1st of January deadline is probably just when they'll stop potentially updating the CSGO legacy version. Maybe only critical security patches.
You can enable in invidia panel some shit to disable smokes in cs2 but your colors will be more orange on yo monitor

Isn't there a see through smoke settings in some faceit cheats? I know almost all (if not all?) premium cheats for valve servers have setting so you can see through the smoke only or does he have some weird color setting for his gpu that makes it look like a smoke wallhack ;D

I think there's an abuse when you hue shift : a dark red will somehow allow you to "see" shadows through smokes and he's abusing that imho

well 5-6 years ago in csgo, textures not loaded ( for smoke and sky) but only for inferno and not always i think it can that. No ban

my fried had a visual glitch in csgo were the sky box turns red in warm up anb smokes are glitched but it happens randomly he had to restart his gane when it happend de fixed by changing something in his settings

I think he can somehow see through the edges of the smoke. Notice how he doesn't ever shoot anyone that's in the middle of the smoke, he only shoots people who are closer to the edge of the smokes from his view angle.
