Saw the Dead in 1966 here in Seattle. First time stoned, played at Alki Beach, then off to Eagles Auditorium for the rest of the night.....outstanding, and without Brent playing keys so many years later, it's just not the same. Jerry and Brent had a "connection" that can be seen in some of the later '80's shows, where Jerry is broadly smiling at Brent as they wind they way around each other's musical mind....trippy....glad there's a place to share stories about the greatest band in my opinion..
wow--just findin' these --nice job you've done..."Ace" was a huge album for me in college... I loved this whole tribute to Jerry, and each other. Bobby...wow, well, thanks for these
I’m so sad Dead and Company are disbanding next summer, 2023. We saw them twice at The Gorge and I wanted to get lawn tickets for their final performances but the tickets just for the lawn start at $543. Per person. In 2019 the lawn tickets were $45. Each, in 2016 seats up front cost $98. per person. Covid has put ticket prices out of reach for the average Dead fan, same with the lawn tickets for Joni Jam at the Gorge, I am outraged that they have raised prices so high, Live Nation and Ticketmaster are greedy pigs.
***** I'm sorry that you had a different experience than you would have liked. Thank goodness the boys left us 30 years worth of gold to listen to whenever we want! I hope you get to hear some great music this summer!
***** Sorry, I misinterpreted your statement "phishhead moron: " hey do you guys mind if I coopt this event and force it into a phish event?" as a complaint about your experience. Glad you had a blast, I know that I did! When I said the "boys" I was referring to The Grateful Dead.
I thought Trey did a decent job holding things down. I've never been a Phish fan, but these few concerts did a little to bring me around somewhat. With that said, he absolutely mutilated Cassidy.
I love the dead but this is pretty loose. I really wish they would have practiced a few more times (maybe once!) before they all got together to play for us. Regardless, I still had the time of my life.
I felt this was the best single song performance of the three nights
Brent was born to sing the harmony on this.
bluerockstar74 dog so true, 80's bobby with the shorts and brent on keys were by far the best years of this fantastic tune
Trey was such a good choice. I am a lifelong Dead and Phish fan. I had no doubts, but he still surpassed my expectations.
P Marston Sr. this is an ignorant statement. there's no way Trey is the ONLY one who could have pulled this gig off.
+P Marston Sr. I don't know...John Mayer could do it pretty well, I'd guess ;-)
John Mayer is a bad joke. He doesn't even deserve tickets to see a dead show.
Ok, listening to tonight's show. He is getting much better, Playing an impressive Miles Davis riff right now. He's learning...
Strongly agree.
God...that tone...that sound.❤❤❤

I have so much fun at the shows!♡

These look and sounds fantastic! Thank you.
This is just perfect.
Trey owned that whole Cassidy!
I thought the beginning sounded pretty off
Simply put....Just can't get enough of Bob weir with the Grateful Dead!!!!! I'm with Bill K. More shows... PLEEEEEEZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!
Been waiting for this (and more!)
Great interplay between Bob and Trey in here.
One of many highlights....

My day is now completely positive ✌️
you should be proud of these clips LL55a, fantastic stuff!
But yeah I would like to see more of the rest of the band too. Awesome video anyway. Thanks!
Might have been the best song of the entire run...
Trey: "Hey, do you guys mind if I dip a little Reba jam into this Cassidy?"

before John Mayer was, Trey is!
wow Trey
Omg Bobby
did zappa ever play with this dude?
I think Bobby was singing to you
Great clear video - best of the weekend
Big time terrapin tease going on for a bit there.
Trey connected on that song imo.
lol..Bobby has an iPad for help
Who filmed this, did they only have one eye.. right and left...seriously?
"A" for effort Bob. Sad what it has become. Thank the Lord for those 100 Grateful Dead shows....
A lot of Deadheads are scared to say something sounds bad . But come on... the 50th was trash lol
Billy is just so off

tabber87 Mutilated being good or bad?
Terrible
tabber87 terrible meaning outstanding, or trash?

I bet the ACDC guy would have shredded these shows..great shows but they got to turn bob and phill up... drain out the lead a little bit.
jerry far better
