Excellent diagnosis Sadel! like always! A lot to learn from this diagnosis! pretty well explain! I always seen difficult to diagnose phasers problems but this one helps a lot! Thank you for sharing brother! I am ready for the next one!
Appreciate your videos very educational. I am new tech for bmw I bought my own scope and building my scoping abilities sometimes can get confusing especially when you don't have good waveform references. Also dealer world is abit harder to get in depth especially when you have advisor pushing for a quick answer. but I keep at it. Your videos do help alot but I still have a lot to learn in the scope world. Do you have any advise? Also I am planning on the near future in buying a pressure transducer any opinion on which are good and not to expensive.
Good to hear you are trying to better yourself and learning to scope, my best advice is to practice with known good cars that are not broken and just capture many signals that you can. get used to making connections and setting up the scope and familiarize yourself with good looking waveforms. But you have to do it all on your own time and put in the work. As far as a transducer, I have had custom ones made to eventually bring out to the market, but for now the ATS 300 psi would be good to start with for incyl. Thank you for watching
I wondered why he didnt command the phasor with scan tool to go to a position and compare with pressure waveform to confirm control functionality. It would have been usefull to have actual and desired PID

Glad you learned something
Another A+ job, Doctor Martinez!
Thanks for going over the waveforms :) love it, keep it coming, trust me I am learning a lot from you videos.
Glad you like them!
Great video how to tackle such problem. Always a pleasure to learn from you Sadel
Glad you enjoyed it
Another great diag👏
Thanks again!

With the scanner Is there actual & desired CAM pid to compare..? Great work 💪.!
it did not have those pids present on this one unfortunately

Hi, very interesting diagnosis, could you tell when the phaser was removed how did it fail, if so how?
There wasn't much difference from the outside when compared to the new one, I'd imagine that the issue was internal
How did u take off the vanos actuators
by removing the center bolt
I think your cranking waveform proved it was a hard part fault. Almost like it couldn't reach its full range to get to the lock.
it for sure was a hard hitting fact to see difference physically bank to bank
