"you may not be able to get items like that ever again" "ditching may not be an option" been waiting years for someone to say this.
the mosquito net in conjunction with face camo works like a charm.
Really appreciate these patrol basics videos gives a lot of us non-mil protectors a context to what kinds of sustainment makes sense things to consider
What does a non-mil protector do? Genuine question!
@@Nighthawk554I think he means just someone that wants to be capable of protecting themselves and others but never received the thorough training the military might give.
@@mdbmockbingo
@@Nighthawk554a prepared citizen who doesn’t have military training
😂non mil protectors I love that
This probably won’t be seen by who I’m directing this toward but even if you are currently military or got out these or some other job that has you working in and around kit these videos are still applicable refreshers even if you already know 90% of the info you still can learn
This Ranger appreciates the info. Carry on mate!
This Ranger appreciates the info. Carry on mate!
Prior army, trying to refresh and get myself back into fighting shape, you hit your target
As civilian in Uk ….. this is incredibly fascinating
❤🏴 love from Scotland 🏴 ❤
William Wallace would approve.
God bless you
Great video Adam; very comprehensive. As an ex-Rhodesian serviceman 75-78, it still amazes me that most guys don't do anything to camouflage their wristwatches, which will often glint brightly in sunlight. We always used leather watchstraps with a flap that covered the face and a snap fastener to keep it in place. Pain to have to pop the cover to see the watch, but it definitely removed any possibility of reflection giving your position away. That's why we also started painting our rifles.
Rhodesians never die ⚡
@@BleedingCarrot They just fade into Zimbabwe.
Still the most iconic rifle paint jobs and third most iconic uniform camo.
I used to have two…one with a cover on my wrist … with the watch face on the inside of my wrist an another around my neck tied on a para cord loop.
The CZcams guys don't because most have never been downrange in any meaningful context but we know about this
Head-nets and any thing that provides protection against bugs should be compulsory.
Apart from the discomfort bites will inflict, bugs are also known for carrying diseases.
You really don't want to add that to the list of things you will have to deal with later.
“I’ve got a real basic rifle.. it’s a super expensive suppressed SBR.. “ haha
It’s an AR, any basic bitch 16in will literally do better than that 11.5
I used the Alice setup in the USMC infantry, hiking and big game hunting in New Mexico, Az, mountains, deserts, 29 Palms, Okinawa, and it works great. I have found chest rigs suck in general, and would not want to use one patrolling, esp in hot weather. It’s more comfy to carry all that weight on the hips instead of on the shoulders.
Enter the Split-Rig.
Should help q lot with heat regulations.
How do you carry ammunition, medical stuff, compass, NODs, etc.? Just stuff then in your pockets?
@@bommie belt kits I suppose
Yes sir. I have two set ups. One is just a belt load with suspenders for a light and fast load out and I also have a tac vest to go over the top for a serious fight load out. Works good and is light enough to wear and run with
The American taxpayer has already equipped others with this equipment, now we have to figure out how to get this for ourselves and depending on where you live- it’s a felony.
So sadly true!! Well said brotha
Welcome to 🤡🌎
Think about that in the context of night vision. And- most people think we are crazy. Thats the cherry.
Why don't we have more organization on the civilian sector I don't get it
@@EathenRice Because they always get set-up by Feds. Almost everytime.
By looking at your backgrounds while patroling, it looks as if you actually are in the south.
There are so many channels that are based north of the Mason Dixon line. It's good to see southern situations represented not focusing on cold conditions, but warmer to hot, and those particular load outs.
That’s because everybody in the south already knows how to do this
“It’s not a competition to see who has the coolest camo pattern” -Spiritus
DPM is obviously the coolest pattern
I wish you would do a quick review of your gear locker: that is a great setup for your team room!🤘
The shakedown videos have been so helpful. Especially for like young privates learning.
It's a shame you don't have ncos who are worth a shit who could teach you, but most of these young bucks have done fuck all with their careers
Could y'all make a video covering gas mask basics?
+1 It would be really usefull !! And about the alternatives to Mira's masks too
Surplus is a good source. Don't use some of those older ones from the 1950s or earlier; they have those old 60mm filters that have asbestos in them.
I have an unissued M9A1 gas mask that had one of those filters. I ordered a 60 mm to 40 mm adapter, so I can now mount a 40 mm NATO filter on it. The M-17 is good, but the twin cheek filters are a bear to change.
Respectfully, if you, as a civilian, are in a position where you need a gas mask, beside maybe CS gas, you're going to die. Research CBRN manuals. Unless you're trying to resist tear gas, almost any other threat will kill you anyways.
Unlike chest rigs, don't buy anything combloc unless you're looking for to call one of those asbestos commercials on TV in the near future.
1. Gas
>No? Don’t worry about it
>Yes? Dawn your f’kn gas mask
Thank you for sharing. Really valuable information here. As many people have said we greatly appreciate your input and will look forward to seeing more information in the future.
Thanks for the great info Adam and Spiritus guys. Requesting a tour of the team room you guys film in, it's a cool backdrop!
great video appreciate the non-stop knowledge coming out of DARC and Spiritus. Also was a pleasure meeting you and learning from you at DARC!!
I like the videos as well . Shows me how far Kit has come since my days in the military and how far behind my current Kit is from the guys DOING THE THING.
On Guadalcanal, the Marines would send out recon patrols and each man carried 25 rounds of ammo (5 strips for their M1903 rifles). The Army patrols carried 24 rounds of ammo (3 clips for their Garands).
I was in the army 1976-1978 the weapon I carried was a M 16 a1 old school. There has been so many better weapon up grades since I was in the army.
20” is still king and your a1 is lighter than that 11.5 he’s got
Thanks brother I’m just a civilian but I do believe we can use most of that equipment especially if we enjoy the outdoors. Thank you excellent detail
That's some serious gear thanks for ideas and all the hard work you put into your videos
Thank you for your info and knowledge based recommendations
Great stuff, love the Patrol Basic videos.
Man the background music is so good!!!!! Great video, as usual
Way to hang in there with the malfunction clearance.. that was nice right there.. good stuff
Great vid. Appreciate the time and effort it takes to put these out.
Appreciate this channel. Thanks Adam
Regarding the analog vs digital discussion; In many cases, having digital available is a boon. Especially if you are working within some kind of officially sanctioned organization. (Military, Reserves, Police, PMC, etc) However, you have to remember that the electronic gear, especially if civilian grade, makes you trackable. Now when working in an organization this is a boon. You know where your guys are and they know where you are. If you get hurt you can be quickly found and rescued, etc.
But when working outside an organization, especially if you are preparing for a SHTF or Civil War type of situation, being trackable by authorities who may not have your best interests at heart is not something you want. Alternately, in an area like Ukraine, where we have already seen the Russians use geopositional tracking on smartphones to land "warheads on foreheads" of the western volunteers who didn't turn off their phones. So planning around having electronics available and working with just analog gear is an important skill to have and be proficient at.
The Ukrainian junta did the same, I confirm. A modern smartphone is a tracking device, but it is necessary for many reasons. The globalists, by the way, forced many Western Ukrainians to fight for the People's Republics against the puppet government of Ukraine, so your recommendations to use analog equipment are more relevant to them than to the forces of the globalists
CANA water purification is so important! Thanks Brother for emphasizing this in your class! Hydration is the key, Cheers 🍻 💦 #DrinkWater #DontBeaHeatCasualty
Thanks for sharing, great content.
OKAY OKAY OKAY. I’ll buy the decontamination kit
I wear the Solomon X Ultra boots. They're just right in my opinion
Swank AF! Lots of things to consider! Thank you
Thank you for making this information more available for civilian defenders. With the way the world is going, this kind of info may be more necessary to possess
Thnx for the vid👍🏼You guys make awesome Kit and I’ve enjoyed your content
Thank you
Outstanding intel Sir.
Thanks. Also. Hopefully maybe the med sled comes in an xtra small configuration for those smaller fannys 😎🤙🏾🤙🏾
That shiny watch in the intro is a no-go.
Love you guys. Thank you.
appreciate it guys!
Thank you for this!
Clean Chainsaw!
Great video my dudes!
Outstanding breakdown of kit! Thank you!
Good stuff , thanks!
Great video
M81 pattern is goated for sure
Awesome video
thanks
Another great video, the content is much appreciated. Crispi makes great boots. Those are the Attiva Mid GTX. I disagree however that they breathe well. They are gortex lined and any waterproof boot does not breathe well at all. Nor do they dry out fast.
I will agree with you there. I bought some mountaineering shoes recently (for high/alpine)... Wanted some full leather ones, as I much prefer it generally in all my footwear, but they simply don't exist anymore. Virtually every manufacturer is adding gtx or their own substitute. Settled for a Scarpa boot and so far I like it a lot. The membranes are a lot better than they used to be and the waterproofness came in handy more than I expected (morning dew, streams etc). I have sweaty feet but so far it's been ok.
this background music, yum.
Good information
M81 is not only based, but also not standard to any unit.* It identies one as a civilian, its ours now, its the uniform of an armed populace.
*i know SF wore it in Afghanistan but it was to match the locals, not as a standalone uniform.
Thanks!
Thanks man !
Thank you for mentioning the other brands of strobe lights because this is one item that is super over priced there is not real reason to paid $200 plus for Helstar 6 when we have so many good choice that are even better
Good stuff.
Thanks for more amazing content that isn’t exclusively all Gucci gear. Very practical and your rationale is greatly appreciated!
You don't think that this stuff is Gucci crap I hate to see what you think does qualify as Gucci
Silva ranger compass has been my go to for two decades. Indispensable for old school land nav
Great information well made. Good enough for refresher or to some whom never been busting try the woods. 👍🏻
Definitely an epic loot drop.
my pops has the Noveske upper and lower.. cant go wrong with that setup
My Dude..... so about that Rhodie BrushStroke!
#GetOnGab
Appreciate the load out videos, definitely some better insight to pass down to the newer generation but imma have to pull out a personal loan for the nods 🤙🏼
Also that team room is badass
Don’t go into debt!
Run a white light until you can afford to buy NODs with CASH.
@woodsghost9088 Good idea.
Larping on a loan is stupid
What an amazing video- thank you! God bless you guys ✝️
These guys make some good stuff. Customer service guys must be operators, they do a good job making you feel beneath them.
helpful pointers. I like to carry a leg bag for extra snacks 👍
Best videos
Me too😉. USMC - 7/71 through 11/74
The mid height X Ultra 3 aero is the 🐐
Useful
Thanks for the video! Could you do a video on how chem lights can be used during various scenarios (patrol, assault, etc) and typical operating procedures that involve chem light signals. Thanks!
If ya dont know what chem lights can be used for you probably don't need them , and If you do know , then you should develop your own operational procedures.
It’s absolutely insane the prices of helmets and night vision.
1. Why is there no gas mask? Without it even cs gas can make you useless. I was hoping to see how you guys carry it.
2. I'm either avoiding ditching my pack because of no supply chain OR communicate with aircraft...
3. More details on that chemlight usage?
"Boots are still covered in mud from the last time I walked through a swamp." Yeah, that was probably us.... I still have no idea I'd you were impressed or pissed at us, lol
Great realistic loadout
Thanks for video Adam; over a year ago you did a video that had a prototype webbing system you were playing with; that still under development or has it been scrapped?
I recognize water, nav, mags. Nothing else. But we had sights.
M81 comment. Someone lives rent free in his head.
Haha! Lucas said that not too long ago 😂😂 this community is hilarious… I love Lucas.
I think kit specifics in terms of videos has so much more potential. A series where it simulates the field use of mission focused kits would be ideal.
I have a platatac peacekeeper and I’m trying to figure out what that and a pack can’t do that LBE can. I got an eagle lbe h-harness and that thing is huge by the way. And I ain’t a small guy and it’s still pretty loose on me. But I feel like I can carry the same amount of stuff both ways.
I'm in forestry and I use the same compass. Do you arrogantly clack it closed after shooting a bearing? 😂 I have mine on a retractable lanyard attached to my radio pouch which is actually a magazine pouch from OPS gear
Will you guys ever make an ATAPs upgrade kit?
Elevator music had me 😵💫
Enjoyed the video but I think you should go into specifics on what this particular kit would be used for. You mention the Khaki pants and tee shirt to "blend in", so I'm thinking this is more a shtf loadout, but then u pull out a handheld IR laser I'm I'm left wondering when the hell you would use that in this type situation...Not gonna be communicating with aircraft in a shtf. I'm not military, just trying to be a prepared civilian and my loadout (work in progress too), has way less stuff. I just picture myself and any friends doing things like neighborhood patrol, hunting, maybe a small mission to go get someone or something, defending against a gang, etc, but I just see this whole loadout you have as something you would have on you for some military op or something. Just coming for ideas, and I'm not 100percent squared away, but pretty damn close too. Thanks man.
You don’t need it unless you’re talking to aircraft or manning a heavy weapon at night.
Even in today’s age where NVGs are super proliferated they’re not a great idea. Unless the gig is already up or part of a no comms plan. They’re an excellent way to get noticed by everyone. Friendlies and enemies alike.
Please email this a series covering military operations. How, and why please
Out of curiosity and not sure if I’ll get a response, but what all medical contents do you have in that med sled?
the content: 🪖🤬🔫
the music: 😉😜💅
The intro is very cool! But I didn't see any mosquitoes 🤔
Do you guys recommend carrying frags in a SPUD pouch?
@Spiritussystems, on the topic of helmets though, if we knew contact would be unlikely could you get away with a bump helmet? Much lighter and simpler.
Bump helmet > no helmet 🪖 NEVER underestimate how many things your head can smash into when you are in a rush, and having a bump helmet to take the brunt of it KEEPS YOU IN THE FIGHT
enjoy the casual mall music for such a useful video
I love watching vids like this but idk how to get deep deep into this community
I feel you dude...
Join the U.S Military if possible, if not, the only kit "communities" I'm aware of are airsoft/larpers as it only costs a ton.
What you need depends all on where you are and where you are going, what you do need all the time is shelter, water proof clothing, fire making equipment, ammo, water purification tablets, food and a blanket. This of course is based off of constant movement, in a survival situation or apocalypse type scenario stationary is death keeping in the move is life, move light and with a purpose take what you want carry what you need. As far as guns, again all depends who you are and what you think you’re going to be doing, I wouldnt suggest getting into a fire fight I also wouldnt suggest sniping people either, carry for protection so me personally I have my AR for close or long range set ups, I have my 1911 convince
Me otherwise I need something better and I have my banelli M2 combat shotgun which I would carry at the ready at all times quite honestly, as far as body armor I have a plate carrier that stops multiple 7.62 hits, my MICH2000 helmet and my ruck,,,, I carry a two man combat tent and a hammock for nicer weather areas, spare ammo, me personally I carry and practice carrying a minimum of 1200 rounds on me besides the 16 mags I have on me, I have my more than basic medic kit and that’s it that’s what I carry, I practice rucking and trekking thru the woods with all this gear every, single, weekend Saturday and Sunday and during the summer I’m out in the woods for the weekend hiking climbing mountains
Is that a juggarnaut case hes running? Ive never seen one with built in buttons for the phone. Its very interesting.
Best woodland camo patteren. M81 or USMC woodland marpat W/ multi cam
