I've watched this video about five times now and I don't know why but this game has slowly become my most wanted game. Thanks for the very informative review!

The review gave me a Cascadia meets Everdell vibe. Sounds like it’s worth checking out. Thanks as always for the reviews.

It does have a similar vibe. In short, it is Cascadia on steroids.

First, thank you for making your videos. You guys are one of the best board game channels - great mix of good information and humor. Second, have you played Altiplano? I haven't played Amazonia, but based on how you describe the "boats", that mechanism is similar (identical?) to Altiplano, where your used resources go into a "container" first, and only go back into your bag once the bag is empty. Try Altiplano if you haven't!

Watched this review a while ago, bought the deluxe edition and really love this game! The bag building is so fun and changing up which sets of animals you’re playing with keeps it fresh

Call me weird, but sometimes I think it's dangerous to assume that because someone wants to work in a certain field, they would enjoy a board game about it. I have experienced this friends in journalism. That said, this review is entertaining, hiliarious and informative as always. Love your dynamic. Keep it up.

All those animals and different scoring conditions sounds like very difficult game to master. Liked it

Cascadia is my favourite Nature themed game by a mile. At least for now, I haven't tried this one, sounds like a great game!

Their previous game to this, Wild Serengeti, is really good and really unique. Highly recommend!

This is definitely a 9 out of 10 for me. Easily made my top 10 board games of all time. It is Cascadia on steroids and I love it. It is a combination of The Quacks of Quedlinburg and Cascadia, if you love either, you'll love this game. But beware though, this game is definitely heavier than the two games mentioned, and the first play-through will take a couple of hours to play, but once you get the hang of it, it's going to be amazing.

It is a fantastic game! We played it with 4 players this evening and we had a lot of fun and btw not much downtime (usually we play with the two of us). For us as a couple it is the best game we bought in 2023 (Kickstarter). Other nature themed games we like, are: Meadow, Ark Nova, Earth, Zoo Tycoon, Canopy, Cascadia and Wingspan.

It's a fantastic game for the right group. I just wish that components upgrades (deluxe) were easier to find. (I am in Australia)

How different is this from Cascadia? It's a good family game, but I found it got boring after several sessions.

LotA adds bag building, freedom of action, more scoring options and bonusses and in my opinion a better animal placement puzzle to a Cascadia like game. Many turns feel very rewarding.
