Thank you, so much misinformation and deceit out there! It was very helpful to learn that a 1959 D penny with it's L stamped on the rim is normal and of no significant value. Thank you for your clarity and honesty!
The CC's look good in my album, and just topped off my tube of 88's. Always enjoy getting my packages from you....Always AWESOME coins. My newest order, gets me 1 coin away from finishing my ASE albums.
Great information I have a lot of coins all different including my favorites wheat cents I have one 1943 steel cent but it's in rough shape I think . That's why I don't collect for value. I collect because I I like to see if I can find an error and those are rare also at least for me lol but it's relaxing.
Not to long ago while going through about 10k wheat cents, I came across a 44 that looked like it might be steel, so the first thing I did was go get a powerful magnet I had and ruled that out quickly. I've seen 43 that some might mistake as copper before as well, they were just rusted over. I personally don't ever expect to find anything like this, though there is the "possibility," if I did find something that passed the weight and magnet tests I would send it off to have it verified instead of jumping to a conclusion that I have something. Thanks again for the video. Watched it initially in August of last year, it just popped up again in my suggested videos.
One good place to find old coins believe it or not is taking the door panels off of it old vehicle and in between the walls you may find some coins in the back doors not necessary in the front doors but in the back doors because kids used to take pennies and dimes and nickels and quarters and try to wedge the coins in between the window and these coins would fall down and be there forever and people who were doing car repairs and remodeling would find these old coins in between the rear windows when they took the door apart and I'm sure there's still some old cars out on Farmers fields rusting away and have not had their door panels removed now just think of all the old cars that got crushed and perhaps maybe had some coins in there that could have been worse a ton of money who knows
hi Daniel thanks for the info. as soon as ive watch your video i weight my 1944 no mint mark it weigh 3.11 grams is that normal? and i aslo find a 1954 S over S and it looks like a toned red coin
I just found a 44 and a 45 penny on my chage savings and I don't know if is steel or if its worth something 🤔 but pretty much is now in a safe place with me untill I find a something unique on them .
Great video Daniel, the information you provide is always enlightening, factual and fun to listen too. Sometime it is info I already knew, forgot and well got to learn again. lol I bought a couple of rolls of 44's in a lot purchase I have never gone through. Hmmm, now I gotta remember where they are.
I have two cents. One is 1989 and one 1982. Someone rubbed them quite well to show either steel, zinc or silver, but the year shows well. Just rubbed quite well.
I have a 1944 zinc or steel coated copper penny that is slightly magnetic. The side is slightly worn exposing what looks like copper. Has anyone ever heard of anything like this?
I have a Fake Steel and its magnetic, Nickle/Zinc (Real 1944 Copper) that I must have gotten in the late 60s or early 70s... I thought it was real steel till I seen a little copper on the outside edge 😭 Now I don't know what to do with it, it must have some value ??? It weighs 2.9 to 3.0
Thank You !! For saying tgat tgey are not exact weights. I come across many whests that are many different weights. These have been cherry licked through 40 yesrs of collecting with out wear on the coin. And still have variable different weights gram wise. See thick sides of coins thin sides of coins as well as rims. Thank you for this video !!
What is the best place to send your coins and how much does it cost to get each one graded... I wrote to you on another site I have 30 rolls they have the date's on the outside they haven't been opened in 60 years started collecting at 6 years old they're from 1920 to 1946... I opened up one roll on the outside I put 1943 World War II steel pennies the first 10 that came out looked like they were just minted yesterday...Also have all the Blue books I believe they started in 1909 and I have both VDB'S... my kids and grandkids could care less so it's time to cash in...Never know I could have $50 dollars or I could have $500,000.. I guess I'll never know until I start opening them...!!
I got a 1944 s it looks copper but its obvious it was struck on a wrong planchet cause it's real light weight the thing that is most intriguing thing is that I have a 1974 that looks exactly like the 1944 I mentioned hopefully I'll get them graded soon do you think they take the 1974 if it's aluminum.
I got a question i gor two 1960 penny that magnetic i can stand them straight on a magnet. I can drop them three inches from the magnet they don't bounce off of it
Yes I have 50 of them so one was cleaning out there collection. Theses were not ordered on line someone one gave me a roll of them when I was working the cash drew these are pennies I have war nickels also
Whats up bro. I was wondering if you could help me out. I dont know how to explain to you what it is that I think I might have. Sending a pic to you would be best. Then you could tell me if I need to go into the eye Drs or not. 😆 its probably nothing , but if it was something it would be a big ,big deal. I figured you have alot of knowledge on what it could be if anything

i have a gold plated 1944 penny. i think my great uncle gold plated it because it is a 1944 steel. thoughts on how to clean it up and sell it for the most money.
If it's not difficult to pull or slide off a magnet then it is just plated. A plated coin will have some magnetism but a steel cent sticks to one like glue.

Lol! You don't have a 44 steel cent. Even in rough shape it would be valuable. There are only a handful known to exist. So no, you don't have one.
